3. when did you begin crafting?

I don't recall a time in my life I have not been creative. I've tried almost everything except working with metal; drawing, photography, simple woodworks, simple projects with electronics, fibre stuff, calligraphy, writing stories, I tried it all. I loved embroidery and crochet in the rare crafting related lessons at school, tho I started crafting in earnest when I began to cosplay about 15 years ago in my early 20s.

6. anything you made that you loved?

I absolutely love my Uraboku (Betrayal knows my name) cosplay of Usui Shusei in his black and white long vest and my Princess Saturn from Sailor moon. I love my nalbound headband. I still enjoy reading some of my older fanfics. And I love quite a few of my handspun yarns!

9. what are you working on right now?

Crochet: triangle shawl out of bought yarn knitting: Scarf out of my first usable handspun Spinning: Some grey yarn (one single merino, the other possibly mohair) for a crochet border sewing: need to finish the seams of my medieval stuff, and many plans...

I wonder why the identity of Yuki’s dad was kept such a mystery. Like I understand he wouldn’t be a relevant character in the long run (although it would be cool if he just randomly showed up) but to make him a nameless nobody seems weird… or was it intentional? Like why couldn’t they just be like “oh yeah your dad was ___ Usui so Shusei is your cousin but your dad passed away/ran off/disappeared etc”. I think it would have been interesting if the theory that Takashiro was actually Yuki’s father turned out to be true and that’s why his paternity was kept a secret.

That very well could be a possibility I think holds up. It also could just be that Hotaru didn’t put that much thought into it. You’d be surprised how many times authors do things just because. I like to think it was gonna be an important thing but, just like other things with the series, got dropped with the series

UraBoku headcanons (various):

During his childhood at the orphanage, Yuki used to share the bed with Kanata whenever there was a thunderstorm or one of them had a nightmare or a sad day.

Hotsuma started to have the same habit as above (w/ Shusei)shortly after killing the guy who bullied his brother because everyone rejected him as a person

The final pairs will be the ones we already know, adding only Reiga/Luze and Takashiro/Yomi (T and Y buried close to each other)

Kuroto and Oboro's relationship was a deeply fraternal friendship (that's why he's uncomfortable with Senshiro's attentions and romantic gestures)

The Elders will die at the end of the story

Uraboku ending headcanons:

I believe there's much more to be released about the story and I hope somehow Odagiri-sensei will be able to extend it beyond number 13.

Yuki, Luka, Luze, Reiga and the Zweilt Guardians will survive

Kuroto is going to slay Cadenza by chopping his head off and will be portrayed holding it like a trophy

Takashiro's death will eventually be necessary and Yuki is going to kill him

Sairi's back story will be revealed and he will come back when the squad is almost getting defeated. His intervention changes the battle in favour of the Zweilt Guardians, but he will get heavily disfigured, ending up blind or without an arm or leg.

Suzaku will be defeated by Yuki, but Masamune is going to be born again as a baby every member of the clan will take care of.

Not many pictures today. But I think I made progress.

Picture 1: The finished backside (I have only sewed one side of the bands because I don’t want the seams to be seen. I’ll make the second side tonighht by hand and watching Outlander while doing so.

Picture 2: A finished pocket. The last time I did these pockets it took me almost a whole day, so I think I got better xD

Picture 3: Done for the moment! I’ll go on tomorrow with the collar and the lining and I hope I can get strated with the lapel as well.
