I really miss the 2014 marvel era days. I miss those text posts. The vibes were so hopeful. Captain america: serpant society was on the horizon. Thor the dark world and all the loki memes and posts. The lore with lokis skin turning a blackened shadow when he "died". All the frost giant art and fanfics. I miss stucky when it was new and raw. Hydra trash party was at its peak. All the fanfics for Bucky coming out of hydra. I know most people don't remember, but sad trash hobo was a nickname for Bucky back in the good old days. Along with dumpster prince. I miss the days when people got my username and didn't send me anonymous messages asking why I hate homeless people.

One day we seriously need to have a talk about how to act in the comment sections on ao3. Now, it’s one thing if the author, not the characters they’re writing necessarily, but the author is being blatantly racist or homophobic or classist — y’all know what I’m talking about, it’s not that hard to tell when an author is writing about racist people/themes, and when they’re clearly racist themselves— but if it isn’t one of those times, you shouldn’t really be calling the author out, or giving them unsolicited advice about tags, or talking about their “choices” with another commenter like the author can’t see what you’re saying.
You know, I used to get “advice” about tags in Stolen Moments — in your face advice, and more subtle advice — and I’ll admit I updated the tags a couple of times because of it, but I had tagged the story a particular way for a reason. It was almost 100K words long and I didn’t want every damn thing spoiled for the reader before they hit the end. Also, I think excessive tagging is annoying 🤷🏾‍♀️ Like if you read the summary and then read the tags, you should have a general sense of what’s going to happen, but you shouldn’t know every little thing that you’re going to encounter.
Idk I’m rambling at this point lol. It’s just that I saw some discussion in the comment section of a fic I was reading a week or two ago, and I wondered: do they know the author can see this 😭 Like I didn’t get their complaints — there’s nothing bad bad in the fic… it wasn’t like it was hydra trash party and/or dead dove or something wild like surprise Stucky, it was just a regular fic. Shoot, I thought the fic was tagged appropriately, but I guess we all see things differently.
