i loved shelby this season. LOVED her. her every interaction was so sincere in a way it (purposefully) hadn’t been in season 1

i love that her being truly authentic was what caused her to have so many meaningful interactions with all of the girls

Ive finished season 2 so i can finally go on Twitter without worrying about seeing a spoiler!

On a whole i actually quite liked this season! Obviously nowhere near as much as season one, but it definitely still left me wanting more and needing to see how it plays out! Regarding the boys, I am not a huge fan. There is just loads of things about there story line on a hole that I don't get and it didn't like. Obviously in season 1 with the girls being the main focus, we got to see all of there individual backstory's, and understood why and how they ended up being part of the experiment, and considering how much more screen time the boys got than the girls this season, I thought it was gonna be obvious why they were there, but honestly I couldn't tell you? Like what was the point of the boys announcement being such a big deal and making there scenes longer than the girls, if some of them where only gonna get a half assed back story? I just didn't see the point. I think unfortunately the person who wrote the article and called the boys "the unnecessary eight" was right. And the whole bit around Seth I just didn't like at all. If a show is gonna include someone to be the villain and also include a SA scene then at least don't try and give them a fucking redemption arc. I feel like I could confidently say for the entire fandom that NO ONE wants that. ANYWAY with that all being said. Our girls KILLED IT this season and honestly they deserve another one. The writing for fatin, leah and Rachel this season was amazing. I loved how there characters developed and even tho I am a bit said that dot didn't get this much this season, she was still one of the my favourites to watch! Shannon's acting after toni shouted at dot and her speaking to her dad had me in fucking tears. And I mean SHONI god my heart was warming my entire body every time they were on the screen together!

i’m really mad at Toni and i’m trying to be understanding as i realise where she was coming from but what i will say is she at least had the emotional intelligence to NEVER say shit to Shelby when she was going through it.

like she called her needy and it was incredibly painful lmfao but she stopped herself from saying anything to her during her absolute rampage on the others, never once disclosed anything about the boat, and stayed completely silent during the cliff scene.

Toni despite her CHILDISH behaviour does have a lot of emotional depth and intelligence, she knows her anger is misplaced but she lacks the fortitude (right now; she can and should grow from this) to move past major emotional conflicts in a mature way. this being said, she purposefully restrained herself from going in on Shelby because she knew that doing so would really fuck up their chances of being together again. she also deep down does not want to hurt her because she loves her. (😭)

despite her pain she tried her hardest to protect Shelby from all the things you know she was dying to say and i have to respect her for that. the old Toni would have never held back but Shelby has allowed Toni to grow enough to at least recognise when she is at a level where she isn’t going to be expressing her feelings in a healthy way and to at least try and tamper them by staying quiet.

my day started off badly, and it only got worse from there when i learnt that the wilds was cancelled. im sobbing and throwing up as we speak

season 2 just came out and i never imagined it could be cancelled bc of how hyped it was

the story is incredible and all the actors (especially actresses) are so fucking great and talented, i really cant wrap my head around this bullshit. not only did it have suspense, great character development, friendship and ONLY sapphic romance, the story was extremely original and the show covered so many important topics at once…
