After re-watching the new Blue Exorcist anime episode (ep.4) I can't stop thinking about how this arc should have been adapted soo many years sooner. it came out 10 years ago. And THIS is the true quality writing this series is known for and what truly pushes fans into really getting into it. Yes, this series is a slow burn/in-for-the-long-haul and the waiting always pays off tremendously, but I still believe it should not have taken THIS long for it to be adapted into an anime.
And it just sucks. It sucks even more that even the biggest anime-only fan's sole interaction with this series was nothing more than the mere introductory premise and never got to the true plot of this series for over than a decade since the first season. I can't help but pity them, at least in the manga it took around 5(?) years for this arc to start, it should not have taken any longer than that after the kyoto saga adaptation imo.
This series has soo much to say with so many stories left unexplored in the anime and yet the wider anime community still calls it "mid" based off the shitty non-canon season 1 ending that unfortunately left everyone with false impressions of this series. It says A LOT how the majority of people who have read the manga agrees it's phenomenal, miles better than the anime.
And it just frustrates me because Blue Exorcist could have still kept up the huge audience and the reputation & recognition it deserves for it's level of quality writing, especially for shonen. Instead of bearing the fate of its audience whittling away over the years due to the anime's mistreatment and the only fans remaining are the loyal manga fans. This series deserved better treatment years ago, but late is better than never.

honestly the best part about getting my buddy into undead unluck is that occasionally he’ll be reading it and I’ll look over and he’s just zoomed in on billys tits.

Catch me eternally screaming about how i love this kind of thing. Anya is a smart little girl but I love that she remains a little girl whose limitations are very realistic (coming from someone who has worked with kids in her age range)

I will say it I will never stop saying it : Ino is one of the character whose potential was the most wasted by the author.
In a world of ninja , girl was the first of her class going above the genius uchiha sasuke, her clan is politically involved in the village with an ancestral alliance with two other important clans.
She has telepathy, mind, illusion, body control techniques . Her family is what the entire secrets service of Konoha relies on for informations which is VITAL for a NINJA VILLAGE. She is what a mc could looks like but then nothing ? This is criminal

You can blame One Piece for my lack of stream activity on my YouTube channel lately. I've been getting into it. I'm sorry but it's just so good, I don't even care that it's super long.
There's no real wrong way to start One Piece. All 3 versions of One Piece have their own very distinct flavor.
The manga is everything as Oda intended it to be. You pick this one for the most authentic and well-paced experience possible. This version is my personal favorite.
The anime may tone some things down, but the animation and music are so beautiful. "We Are" will be stuck in your head for many years to come. And surprising for a long-running Shonen Jump anime, there's very little filler. Just some padded time in canon episodes, and only 9% of the episodes are all filler. Compare to other SJ animes like Dragon Ball, Naruto and Bleach, where almost half of it is filler. And then you get to Boruto which has so much filler that you're basically forced to read the manga instead...
The live action series stays largely accurate to the source material, but the events that happen in between the major plot points are different, letting it stand as it's own show while still being faithful to the original. It also takes itself more seriously, but the fun lighthearted goofiness that One Piece is known for isn't completely absent either. The show is very fast paced, so while some characters may not be as developed as they are in the manga, it makes for a great entry point for newcomers. And even for long-time fans, it was a fun watch.

There was a persistent rumor after the announcement of the hell's paradise anime that it was gonna looks really good with really clean fight animation but that they were going to cut a lot of things and only really leave the fights in to fit everything in a 24 episode season, and that was really my nightmare scenario.
That's why I don't really mind the animation of Hell's Paradise being a bit meh at times. The average anime watcher doesn't really notice, but they definitely do if a story is weak and rushed and it has a much bigger worse impact on the reputation of the manga.
