Yahoo! What do the lives of SouMegu/SouRina, AlRyo, Akira X Hishoko, EiRin and TakuMegu look like 10-15 years after the series end?

Errrr, this is tough! I’ll try my best.

SouMegu:

They have their own little diner and everything where they combine their menus.

Travel here and then though, just to find more dishes.

They probably live by the sea!

They have a kid and name him Kojirou because of how much Shinomiya helped them improve their cooking.

SoRina:

Lots of traveling, LOTS.

Had a wedding that was really something. Probably made wallets cry.

Kids weren’t brought up until a couple years after they got married.

Will drop in to judge shokugekis and give everyone heart attacks.

RyoAli:

These two have been together like forever, so life would be the same right??

Wrong. Alice demands Ryou be more open about his needs and everything because she wants to be his support system.

They have a seafood restaurant where the two of them still have their own little food wars.

Probably were the ones to have children first.

AkiSako:

You thought SoRina travelled a lot? Think again. These two are home like 3 days a month or something.

Some of the trips they make, Jun travels with!

When AkiSako have their first child, Jun makes it her job to go with them to help support them and their child.

Fear not, Grandma Jun is here.

EiRin:

THEY PRACTICALLY LIVE IN A CASTLE.

Graduating as the first and second seat really takes you places.

One room in their home castle is dedicated to actual selfies Rindou takes of her and Eishi.

Rindou probably still gives Eishi heart attacks here and then.

TakuMegu:

They probably didn’t start seeing each other in a different light until after graduation.

After that, they did everything together.

They both probably babysit Isami’s children whenever Isami has an important errand to run.

“Takumi, why don’t we have a family of our own?”

Fall Anime 2017

It’s that time of year again...school. With college, work, dance practice, etc., it’s been a struggle to keep up and finish all of the anime that I’ve been watching since summer. However, I’ve been able to successfully, yet reluctantly, finish shows like Hitorijime my Hero, Tsurezure Children, Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu, etc. Sadly, other amazing shows such as Boku no Hero Academia and Gamers! (which managed to pleasantly surprise me) are about to end this week. :( But since October literally starts next week and I’m about a foot deep into the fall semester at school, I’m looking forward to what the FALL SEASON OF ANIME will bring, and potentially hinder me from being on top of my school work.

Here are the shows that I am planning on watching (WARNING: get ready for a long list...sorry lol):

- Shokugeki no Soma: San no Sara

Need I say more???

- 3-gatsu no Lion 2

Really enjoyed the first season and I’m looking forward to how it continues. For anyone who hasn’t watched this yet...give it a chance. You won’t regret it.

- Osomatsu-san 2

AHHHHH SHIIIIIIT MY FAV IDIOT BROTHERS ARE BACK!!!

- Mahoutsukai no Yome

After watching the OVA episodes for this show, I have the urge to watch it as a full length show. (btw myanimelist had it listed as airing in the summer, but it should air in the fall)

- Tsukipro The Animation

I have no excuse. I just like watching bishounen boys singing.

- Code:Realize : Sousei no Himegimi

A reverse harem anime with a veteran voice cast...GIVE. ME.

- Just Because!

Reading the premise gave me Tsuki ga Kirei (if you don't know what I’m talking about refer back to my spring anime list) vibes.

- Dynamic Chord

Again, singing bishies.

- Animegataris

I think its time to watch an anime about high school students forming an anime research club. Just. Yes.

- Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte Kara

This is one of those anime that lasts only 5 min per episode but the premise seemed really adorable!

- Black Clover

Ok watching this was a last minute decision, but after watching the PV and looking at the cast list, I have to check this out.

- Ballroom e Youkoso

I’m already hooked on the new opening. I pretty much caught up with the manga so I’m looking forward to how everything will be animated.

Shows that have second seasons coming out but I haven't watched yet:

- Kekkai Sensen

I’ve heard nothing but good things about this show and I’ve wanted to watch it for awhile. I’ll get to it...once I watch the 1st season.

- Himouto! Umaru-chan

This anime seems really adorable and I’ve also thought about watching this. Hopefully, I get to it soon... T^T

- Donten ni Warau Gaiden: Ketsubetsu, Yamainu no Chikai

I never thought that they’d make a movie for this show. But lo and behold, it’s coming. When this show came out in 2014, I really enjoyed it. Watch it if you haven't yet!

Holy Jesus this was a long list. If you’ve managed to get through this list, then kudos to you!

I highly doubt I will be able to keep up with everything that I listed, but I will try. I’m in my last year of my undergraduate program at my university and I have to write two very important 20-25 page papers for my two majors before December. RIP. Plus, I’m learning Japanese. It’s not easy but I’m really enjoying it. Even though I’m busier and more tired than ever, having time to relax and watch anime is really important to me. For those of you who are struggling in school at the moment, remember to take time to sit down and watch an episode of anime. It’s important to be diligent with your work, but it’s equally important to treat yourself and enjoy life. Good luck with school and thanks for reading!

It’s “Shokugeki no Souma”! It has three seasons and don’t forget to watch the OVAs as well. Below all three seasons (if you click on them you can watch it with Eng subs).

Season 1: Shokugeki no Souma

Season 2: Shokugeki no Souma: Ni no Sara

Season 3: Shokugeki no Souma: San no Sara

It’s a bit ecchi in the first few eps, but it will be a lot less afterwards. Hope you’ll like it!

Anime Expo Lite Day 1 Experience! by @rainstormfes

Friday July 3rd, 2020

Program: Warner Bros. Japan Presents “Stay Connected with Anime”

Anime Expo held an event called Anime Expo Lite where they accommodated for the Covid-19 pandemic and put the whole con experience online. This particular program had many seiyuu and Japanese anime studio staffs as guests where they talked about three anime and their experiences with them.

The program started out with talking about Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka III (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? III) with guests Matsuoka Yoshitsugu (voiced Bell Cranel) , Minase Inori (voiced Hestia) , Osawa Nobuhiro (from EGG FIRM, an anime production company), and Matsukura Yuji (producer from J.C. Staff, an animation studio). The beginning was just each guest answering questions that fans from all over the world submitted:

The author was asked if he was ever inspired by the voice acting of Matsuoka and Minase-san to which he answered yes and the program proceeded to show two specific scenes where Matsuoka’s and Minase-san’s voice acting inspired him (Minase-san was also asked to perform a small line live which was really cute)

They prepared a teaser image for the third season and for the big reveal Matsuoka had to tear a curtain off of a huge poster board while saying an attack name but the curtain got caught on the corner which almost made it fall 😂😂

Matsuoka was asked if there were any difficulties when recording season 3 so he talked about how Bell had gone through lots of growth throughout the 2 seasons and how he had to think about how to properly act out just how mature Bell was now compared to before, considering he’s now leader of the Hestia Familia

Minase-san answered the same question. She talked about how she made sure to try and keep in mind how close all of the characters involved are plus Hestia’s mental and social growth within the group

There was a video message from Iguchi Yuka (voiced Chigusa) since she sings the opening! There was also an announcement that sajou no hana would be performing the ending song! Both messages were very nice and cute (they spoke English x3) and both artists just talked about how they were looking forward to everyone’s reactions to their songs and to look forward to the anime.

Airing of DanMachi 3 will begin in October!🎉🎉

The next anime that they talked about was Shokugeki no Soma: Gou no Sara (Food Wars: The Fifth Plate) with guests: Matsuoka Yoshitsugu (voiced Yukihira Soma) and Yonetani Yoshitomo (animation director)

Yonetani-san was asked about how he felt about the anime and what he thought about when working on its animation. He said he wanted to express how amazing the cooking process/food was as well as wanted to excite (oh b o y 😳) the audience

Matsuoka-san was asked the same question. He talked about how since he’s been following Soma since day one he has to think a lot about his growth in Totsuki when voice acting for him. He talked about how he kinda thinks about his own high school days as well

Matsuoka Yoshitsugu, Fukuyama Jun (voiced Saiba Asahi), and Takahashi Minami (voiced Tadokoro Megumi) pre-recorded an irl shokugeki which was shown on the program!!

Matsuoka and Jun had to make a tonkatsu sauce for Takamina. Matsuoka ended up winning because Jun was chaotic asf when he made his xD (he put dried fish and squid along with peanut butter and nutella so there were just tons of flavors trying to be the main thing)

Matsuoka was asked which lines were more memorable for him, other than Soma’s: he talked about how whenever he had to record the monologues when dishes are being made and when they’re being presented was difficult since it would be hard to express a good portrayal of Soma’s energy if he didn’t even know what he was talking about (so on the side he had to keep using wiki to understand what Soma was even talking about lol)

Question about the production of the anime: Yonetani-san talked about how there were lots of complicated words they had to use; there were lots of cuts in certain scenes (like when presenting the dishes) made to try and portray the energy that they wanted in the anime

Someone asked about where the producers get ideas about the ending theme sequences: Yonetani-san’s used the songs as inspiration for the backgrounds used for the ending themes and also tried to relate to all of the cooking and the theme of high schoolers just going through life etc

The next and last anime talked about was JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. It starts out with a video made where Ono Kensho (voiced Giorno Giorvanna) and two producers from David Production (Kasama) and Warner Bros Japan (Omori Hiroyuki) are questioned.

Apparently during production they actually count how many ‘ora’s and ‘muda’s etc when they do stand cries! But when OnoKen went to Koyasu Takehito (voiced Dio Brando) to ask about counting his ‘muda’s but never needed to, he just synced with the animation which surprised OnoKen xD

Next, they talked about the anime-only scene of Giorno giving gelato to a kid. The staffs wanted to show how kind Giorno was despite eventually becoming a gang-star. The story itself if also personal to Kasama-san since he had actually went to Italy and had experienced intense heat there and went to a gelato stand so he wanted to preserve that memory to animation

They mentioned how they purposely put characters that are later properly introduced in the anime within frames earlier on so that manga readers are even more hyped up and anime-only people could go back and see those little easter eggs for themselves and appreciate the little hints given which I absolutely love. AND they specifically mentioned that they wanted Giorno to do the famous Dio pose, saying they felt that they needed to live up to fans’ expectations so considering how dedicated of a fan base Jojo has, they decided to put that little nod toward Dio’s pose with Giorno doing it too

They talked about how the second theme for Golden Wind was hard to make since they needed to match or one up the first theme (Fighting Gold). It took a while to produce the second theme’s music and ideas presented were rejected three times before finally being accepted. And they had already decided to make an alternate animation for it as well, which made the process to make the music even harder.

The man himself that produced it (as well as the entire soundtrack for Golden Wind), Kanno Yugo, was a guest for the live broadcast! He talked about how, considering his experience with parts 3 and 4 with their opening themes, he felt he needed to try and one up himself for part 5′s

He compared making music for Jojo felt like competing in the Olympics since its a difficult job to one up yourself every time there’s a new season for the anime. Since he started working with Jojo since part 3 and made such iconic main character themes since then, needing to make something as amazing as those themes was tough but he definitely delivered in the end

Overall an amazing experience! 😊

I loved every moment of the program! So glad to finally see seiyuu live at events, considering what’s been going on in the world recently. Definitely made my day!

Favorite of the entire list: Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen, hands down. I just love this series to pieces, and how amazing it is to see a continuation of my all-time favorite anime ever!! The best part was that they were able to round up all the seiyuu (except some) from the original series. I hope that the new CCS series was able to bring in even more fans who didn’t know of CCS beforehand. I’m just sad that it ended, but alas, it caught up with the source material, so it was either wait, or run wild. I probably wouldn’t have minded if they did the latter though, LOL. I have a lot of faith in the current staff ^^

Honorable Mentions: Emiya-san Chi no Kyou no Gohan, Hataraku Saibou, and Yuru Camp△ made it to their own “PURE JOY” category! Those were more of those “slice-of-life”ish series that I can totally watch and relax. Okay, maybe Hataraku Saibou requires just a bit more attentive-ness because of all the jargon, but still great! Of this group, I think Yuru Camp△ was the series I watched with absolutely no expectations, but omgsh, it surpassed my expectations. Love it!

About “The Best of the Rest”: So last year’s series that ended up in this category was one of those “why did I even bother watching this” or “I watched it for giggles” type of series, but this year, they were just series that I didn’t remember much about, or they just missed the mark someway or another to not make it to the middle. I guess that’s a good thing in some ways, I probably had a lot of time last year, but this year I probably dropped series left and right like a hot potato if it wasn’t worth watching (Satsuriku no Tenshi was just a nope for me), or I just didn’t bother picking things up. If I really had a section of anime that wasn’t so up to par, I would say Amanchu Advance, Devil’s Line, and Tokyo Ghoul:re would make that list. Amanchu Advance went weird with the magical aspect; Devil’s Line felt very imcomplete; and Tokyo Ghoul:re suffered from horrible pacing.

Favorite Songs: I was just thinking sometime around this last season or so, that there were a lot of good songs happening. Anyways, there are obviously MORE but these are the top ones that I still remember off the top of my head, or have listened to several times already~will probably add more as I remember them~

Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Third Plate (San no Sara) Episode 1 (SUMMARY) - "Challenging the Elite Ten" "Jukketsu ni Idomu" (十傑に挑む)

In response to Kuga's condescending provocation at the Autumn Leaves Viewing, Soma decides to show off his cooking prowess in the upcoming Moon Festival which involves the setting up booths by groups or individuals on school grounds. Deciding to go up against Kuga directly, Soma approaches Miyoko Hojo, who also specialises in Chinese cuisine like Kuga. Miyoko explains that while she specialises in all forms of Chinese cuisine, Kuga's focus is on Sichuan spicy cuisine, and takes him to his mainstay, the Chinese Cuisine Research Society. Soma is shocked to see many chefs working in perfect unison and precision, trained all by Kuga himself. After tasting ten identical speciality dishes of mapo tofu, Soma gets more determined than ever to beat Kuga, going up front against him by claiming the booth area directly in front of his, and serving Chinese cuisine as well. Just as Soma submits his application form, Erina reveals to him that he will get expelled if his booth loses money, much to Soma's disbelief.
