I've bee listening to this again thinking how perfectly it describes RDA and how it most likely works. And how it treats the people who we saw dying en masse working for it. Even of they only hire the worst I doubt they signed up to be slaughtered to finance RDA expansion.
The song is about a different hypercapitalist entiry abusing people but I suppose one evil space conglomerate is just like another. After all they are all in the race to the bottom line with the likes of the East India Company.

The flight, carried out by Romanian charter company Legend Airlines, had departed from Dubai and landed at the small Vatry airport on Thursday for a technical stopover when police intervened. Bound for Nicaragua, the flight arrived in France with 303 Indian passengers onboard. After being interrogated by police, two people investigated for human trafficking have been placed under “assisted witness” status while the investigation continues, according to the prosecutor’s office. Another 25 people, including five minors, have stayed in France where they wish to seek asylum, authorities said.

China expects searing heat, more weather extremes in 2024 (Reuters) China grappling with one of its coldest Decembers on record will likely have to brace for another round of scorching heat and an increase in extreme weather next year due to the El Nino weather phenomenon, a senior climate expert said. This year has seen China lurch from some of its hottest temperatures logged since 1850 to a harsh cold snap that froze many parts of the country for close to a fortnight earlier this month. This past summer saw Beijing bake in record heat while a remote township in the country’s arid northwest logged a day of 52 degrees Celsius (126 Fahrenheit) the hottest on record for China. Israel’s Economy Expected to Shrink 2% as War Sidelines Workers (NYT) The Israeli economy is expected to shrink by 2 percent this quarter, according to a leading research center, with hundreds of thousands of workers displaced by the war with Hamas or called up as reservists. About 20 percent of the Israeli work force was missing from the labor market in October, up from 3 percent before the fighting began, according to a report from the Taub Center for Social Policy Studies, a nonpartisan think tank in Israel. The spike in unemployment reflects the fact that about 900,000 people were called up to fight, stayed home to take care of children because schools had closed, evacuated from towns near the borders with Lebanon and Gaza or couldn’t work because of physical damage to their industries.
Lose a limb or risk death? Gaza’s wounded face hard choices (AP) The doctors gave Shaimaa Nabahin an impossible choice: lose your left leg or risk death. The 22-year-old had been hospitalized in Gaza for around a week, after her ankle was partially severed in an Israeli airstrike, when doctors told her she was suffering from blood poisoning. Nabahin chose to maximize her chances of survival, and agreed to have her leg amputated 15 centimeters (6 inches) below the knee. The decision upended life for the ambitious university student, as it has for untold others among the more than 54,500 war-wounded who faced similar gut-wrenching choices. Experts believe that in some cases, limbs could have been saved with proper treatment. But after weeks of Israel’s blistering air and ground offensive, only nine out of Gaza’s 36 hospitals are still operational. They are greatly overcrowded, offer limited treatment and lack basic equipment to perform surgeries. Many wounded are unable to reach the remaining hospitals, pinned down by Israeli bombardment and ground combat.
Saudis Keep Low Profile in Red Sea Conflict (NYT) After rebels took over the capital of Yemen in 2014, a 30-year-old Saudi prince named Mohammed bin Salman spearheaded a military intervention to rout them. With American assistance and weapons, Saudi pilots embarked on a bombing campaign called Operation Decisive Storm inside Yemen, the mountainous nation on their southern border. Officials expected to swiftly defeat the rebels, a ragtag tribal militia known as the Houthis. Instead, the prince’s forces spent years mired in a conflict that splintered into fighting between multiple armed groups, drained billions of dollars from Saudi Arabia’s coffers and helped plunge Yemen into one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. Hundreds of thousands of people died from violence, hunger and unchecked disease. Saudi Arabia and its main partner, the United Arab Emirates, eventually scaled back their military involvement, and Saudi officials entered peace talks with the Houthis, who secured control of northern Yemen. Now, the war in Gaza has thrust the Houthis whose ideology is driven by hostility toward the United States and Israel and support for the Palestinian cause into an unlikely global spotlight. Attack in Nigeria (Foreign Policy) At least 160 people were killed and 300 people wounded in attacks on villages in central Nigeria, local officials said Monday. Monday Kassah, head of the local government in Bokkos, Plateau State, told the AFP that armed groups locally known as bandits launched attacks on at least 20 communities. Plateau State Gov. Caleb Mutfwang condemned the violence as “barbaric, brutal, and unjustified,” and governor’s office spokesperson Gyang Bere vowed to take proactive measures to protect civilians. However, Amnesty International criticized the government following the attacks, writing on X that “the Nigerian authorities have been failing to end frequent deadly attacks on rural communities of Plateau State.”
A Thriving Border Town Undercuts South Africa’s Anti-Immigrant Mood (NYT) By 7 a.m., lines of customers snake down the block outside stores on the main commercial strip in Musina, a bustling South African border town where thousands of people arrive daily from neighboring Zimbabwe to buy food, clothes and other necessities that are hard to get back home. A few miles away, at the border, pickup trucks bearing the seal of South Africa’s newly formed border patrol inspect the razor-wire fence, looking to arrest people who cross illegally braving bandits, crocodiles and the rushing Limpopo River. Speaking from the loggia of St. Peter’s Basilica to the throngs of people below, Francis said he grieved the “abominable attack” of Hamas against southern Israel on Oct. 7 and called for the release of hostages. And he begged for an end to Israel’s military campaign in Gaza and the “appalling harvest of innocent civilians” as he called for humanitarian aid to reach those in need. Francis devoted his Christmas Day blessing to a call for peace in the world, noting that the biblical story of the birth of Christ in Bethlehem sent a message of peace. The problem is not to come up with business tactics for revenue enhancement, but it is how to not make it seem like a commercial move in mind of consumers.

Additionally, this is also about unlocking other or new countries that weren’t on the plan before (in last interview with Jeff, Bible, Mile, Apo - they even mentioned India which is crazy.. plz refer twitter..i don’t have sources)

It will last 1 year. If you ask me, the bigger point here is to keep audience engaged, because BOC does not have any content yet. This is also a genius move to build very strong fanbases.
After all most of the cast is signed under BOC.
Tour Skills
If you tell me the skills are just for concert, i’d say NO..
BOC is going to explore beyond just drama content. They are going to leverage all of this additional stuff for each artist.

Russia's United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has a project for an advanced aircraft carrier in progress, while transmitting its own position to the command of the Russian Navy, USC CEO Alexey Rakhmanov said in an interview published on the corporation's website.
Meanwhile, the CEO pointed out that the corporation has its own opinion on "what is a future aircraft carrier, how it should be built and with what technological specifications.

The Tass news agency reported that Rakhmanov also confirmed that the heavy aircraft cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov will be commissioned in 2024. According to the CEO, this specific request involves more than 2,000 people.
"This is a question for the Navy - whether or not an aircraft carrier should be built and what kind of aircraft carrier. This discussion comes from the time I worked at the company for 8 years. We are proactive in design and regularly transmit our position to the Navy. We have to know, and know precisely, what our enemy thinks and what he does. The repairs did not stop even for a single minute of the cruiser's time on the pier," said Alexey Rakhmanov.

Admiral Kuznetsov is an aircraft carrier (cruiser of heavy aircraft in the Russian classification) serving as the flagship of the Russian Navy. It was built by the Black Sea Shipyard, the only manufacturer of Soviet aircraft carriers, in Nikolayev, in the then Soviet Socialist Republic of Ukraine (SSR) and launched in 1985, becoming fully operational in the Russian Navy in 1995. It was originally commissioned in the Soviet Marine Union, and was designed to be the leading ship of the Admiral Kuznetsov class of two ships. The second hull was eventually sold by Ukraine to China, modified in Dalian and commissioned as Liaoning.
In June 2021, Vladimir Korolev, vice president of United Shipbuilding Corporation, announced that the review and update of Admiral Kuznetsov should be completed by the first half of 2023.

Admiral Kuznetsov continues to be revised and modernized.
The avionics, flight deck with ski jump, electrical equipment and the engine is expected to be replaced as part of this Kuznetsov upgrade process. The aircraft carrier would also receive a new all-national takeoff and landing control system, with the air power on board remaining the same.

Recent developments highlight that Turkmenistan is growing in importance, with new President Serdar Berdymukhamedov venturing out for his first foreign trips to Russia and Iran since he replaced his father, Gurbanguly, in March. The country is increasingly becoming a transit point for a significant series of relationships between Moscow and Tehran. [...]
Berdymukhamedov and Putin signed 15 cooperation documents, along with a declaration expanding their countries’ strategic partnership[...]
Berdymukhamedov’s visit to Iran resulted in very similar agreements focusing on growth in bilateral relations and logistics. [...] Turkmenistan’s security interests along the border between the two countries crosses many different geographic zones, with crossing points at Sarakhs, for example. These roads lead to Iran’s holy city of Mashhad.[...]
The Turkmen president also met with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei [...] Khamenei warned that friendly relations between Iran and Turkmenistan have opponents at the regional and international levels, in reference to Middle Eastern and Western interests. [...]
Iran has also started a pilot logistics project with Russia and India, known as the International North-South Transport Corridor. The corridor this week welcomed its first lorries from Russia that are headed to India via Iran. The growth of this route will be enhanced by Turkmenistan’s relationships with these countries. Indian interests in Turkmenistan are also decades-old, especially in regard to the security issue in Afghanistan. Much of this shipping activity is tied to the new Taliban government, with logistics routes seen as a way to keep things calm in Afghanistan if need be.
There are a few other points of interest in Turkmenistan’s new hub-like status. Berdymukhamedov’s relationship with Kazakhstan is also key to the transit lines that are being put into place from Iran. And Nur-Sultan is interested in building a grain storage terminal on Turkmenistan’s border with Afghanistan. This would ensure Kazakh wheat exporters had easy access to the important markets to the south [...]
There was very little discussion of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India pipeline, which is yet to be constructed. Pakistan is still “out” in terms of being a player. And with Indian interests growing in Central Asia while Pakistan’s political landscape is askew, New Delhi is well positioned.
In addition, Turkey has major corporate and financial interests in Turkmenistan, which may [develop] over time, especially if Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wins reelection in 2023. [...]
Overall, Berdymukhamedov is showing that Russia and Iran are key partners. And the new Turkmen president is planning more international travel to beef up his country’s new-found importance as a logistics hub and gas producer. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is actually benefiting the development of these new transit ties — a fact that puts the Turkmen leader and his partners within the scope of possible Western sanctions.

Why You Should Never Trust the East India Company (Especially if You’re a Pirate)
I share pirate facts over on Twitter every Tuesday, and I think this one I haven’t actually shared here, so let me introduce you to Edward England and the East India captain he spared, James Macrae. 
Now, the East India Company was a bunch of bastards, and they were  long known for hunting down and killing pirates. They were really their own military in many ways. So, Macrae and another captain decided hey, we want to go after these pirates, they're disrupting commerce and we won’t stand for it. An eventual battle ensued.  Said battle between England, Macrae, and their allies was bloody, long (long enough that Macrae’s fellow captain abandoned him) and eventually, the pirates prevailed. Macrae managed to get some of the survivors to land in a longboat, but the pirates waited somewhere near the coast of South Africa and put a bounty on the guy’s head. Eventually Macrae was brought to the pirate ship. Macrae fully expected to die. Reasonable! He'd spilled a lot of pirate blood and hadn't surrendered (pirates tended not to harm if a captain did so).
But! A man on the crew approached, saying that he'd worked for Macrae before and said he was "an honest fellow." He was willing to fight over it, even, to spare Macrae’s life.  He said he would stand by Macrae, and this expression of solidarity moved the pirates--they appreciated that kind of thing! They took the matter to common council, and while some pirates still wanted to kill the man who hunted them down, the majority won out. The pirates appreciated Macrae's bravery in battle and the word of his honesty from their fellow, so not only did they spare his life, they also GAVE HIM A SHIP because his own was wrecked in battle! He was free to go! 
That should be the end of the story, right? No! Because this ungrateful guy simply went back for reinforcements, and then started hunting down pirates again with the ship that PIRATES GAVE HIM. 
One pirate said it was "an abuse of civility" which yeah, IT SURE IS, and most of them were pretty pissed off! It should have been a gentleman’s agreement, but Macrae was too busy worshipping at the feet of a corporation who thought it was fine to simply take over a whole country, so what can you do. 
Because of this, Edward England was eventually voted out of his post and left marooned on the coast of a country in eastern Africa. So! I guess don't trust the East India Company, is the lesson here.
