What if that was Geo? What if they used to be friends? And then Geo scaped the dungeons and Vania simply though he was imaginary, thus forgetting about him?
It would make sense that Geo would not spend a lot of time with other Munce since he was pretty much treated like an outcast, so imagine baby Geo finding and making friends with an even babier Vania. Also, both of them doing art together (Since Vania did the Ninja cardboard, so she prolly likes art).
Anyways, Geo spending time with baby Vania and thinking of her as a little sister. Done? Got it? Great. Now imagine Cole telling him about Vania and his heart breaking about being remembered only as an Imaginary friend. You are welcome.
There is no protective wall around the city to keep out invaders. Usually big cities like this would be more protected. It could be because they had remained hidden for so long and figured no one would find them. And they're on a very tall mountain. Still, it's a bit odd.
They don't seem to have any transportation. No carts. No airships. No nothing. This could be because at the time, they had no need to travel to other kingdoms and just got around the city using their wings. Speaking of wings...
Only the royal family and the soldiers seem to have the Wing Flight Packs. If you look at the commoners in the throne room during Vania's coronation, non of them have wings. (At least as far as I can remember.) Only the soldiers do. Does this indicate that status has to do with whether or not you get wings? Perhaps.
Made it to season 13 in my rewatch and I've come to the realization: the wings of the people of shintaro are fucking stupid. What is even going on with them. Have they ever seen wings before?
Anyways it bothered me so I decided to come up with some designs that actually made sense. I like the feathered ones the most. Also ears and tails because it's more cool
I dont know which I like most. The feathered wings, both 2 and 4, are cool and I love the tail with the feather floof (and just feathers in general) but the bug ones are also neat. With how the people of shintaro fly and also the original wings look the bug wings definitely make more sense.
Round 1: Por (My School President) vs Shintaro (Minato Shouji Coin Laundry)
[Submitted Reasons Under Cut]
Por: "I've not finished My School President yet, but for each and every episode I watch, the more gender envy Por is making me feel. Each time they have a performance he's the ones who knows how to dress for success. He even knows how to make their school uniform look fashionable and androgynous. I want all of his vests, and necklaces, and just his amazing vibe, that only someone with a lot of gender like him has"
Shintaro: "he's just a pretty boy with nice hair. it's incredibly plain hair yet he looks so incredibly good, it's insane. his confidence and his smile had me throwing my phone across the room in envy."
imagine if shintarians were once a species of avian humanoids who became such an advanced race of people that they no longer needed their wings to fly and lost them completely
imagine with me, that they're large feathery creatures suited for scraggly mountain peaks, scavenging and perching but have evolved into such a polite society that all the bird mannerisms have all but gone
One little detail that I've always loved about episode 7 of season 13 is how right before Vania, Cole, & Wu, go to tell Vangelis about the Skull Sorcerer, Chompy spits out the flower he's eating (I don't have a video of it, but the (estimated, probably a few seconds early) Netflix timestamp of him actually spitting it out is 7:45).
This, coupled with the fact that Vania told him right before to not eat the flowers because he'll barf them up, makes this scene even better.
