Izaya tries on Shinra’s lab coat.
"Hey, I didn't know you wanted to be a doctor."
"I look pretty good, don't I?"
Across the small room, Izaya stood in front of a mirror with his friend's lab coat on. In the mirror, Shinra could see Izaya smiling and admiring his reflection. He had to agree.
"Or maybe a scientist? I could see you as a researcher."
Izaya turned to look at his roommate. "But what would be my subject of research?"
With a grin, the brunette shrugged his shoulders. "Hmm. I don't know. Maybe...people?"
"That's not a bad idea."
"Observing people has always been your hobby, so why not study human behavior as a career path?" Shinra says, more earnestly though. He grabbed a pen from the desk he was standing in front of before coming towards Izaya. His reflection appeared in the mirror from behind, and they both smiled as Shinra nuzzled his cheek and wrapped his arms around him.
"Buuut you have to get your own lab coat."
Izaya returned the nuzzle, his hands lightly grasping Shinra's arm. They sway as Shinra rocks them back and forth.
"I can't keep it as a beloved gift from my friend?"
"You know they're going to yell at me if I come into class without it."
"I really don't get the purpose of dividng students based on medic-in-training and not a medic-in-training."
"Hmm," Shinra sighed, slowing his movements. "I guess because it doubles as a medical school?"
They stop, and Shinra lets go. Izaya lets it fall from his shoulders until he pulls it off and hands it to the brunette. "Here."
Shinra looked at his friend with sympathy as he appeared to shiver. "Maybe you can ask if you can wear a jacket during class...?"
"Maybe." Izaya looked back at him. "Maybe I should become a doctor."
"Then you can sit next to me," Shinra grins as he pulls on the fabric.
"Then we can be good-looking together."

YES SHINRA AND IZAYA RIGHT? YESSS
Who’s the first to wake up in the morning: Izaya. Shinra isn’t a particularly late sleeper but he comes home late from his job from stitching up yakuza people who finished THEIR night shifts so...
Who’s the one to make breakfast: Shinra. He just likes to cook.
Who’s the one to serve the other breakfast in bed: Shinra. he likes to make someone happy and spoil them if he’s in love with them.
Who would suggest a quickie in the morning before work: hmm... Izaya I think. Shinra isn’t particularly into ‘sex’ per say I think he’s okay with cuddling all day. (i mean, there’s been times Shinra is like “MY BODY IS READY” so .. maybe it is Shinra hmm)
Who suggests they both ditch work to lay around all day: Shinra. Forever Shinra.
Who chooses the movies: Izaya. Shinra normally would say “anything you choose is perfect!”
Who initiates kissing during the moving, thus distracting the other from the movie all together: Izaya probably. Shinra isn’t the type to try to take tooo much advantage of someone
Who orders lunch: Shinra. He can get hungry. izaya is just abnormal.
Who steals food from the other’s plate without asking: Izaya. Shinra is more giving than Izaya lol.
Who curls up next to the other and falls asleep due to a full tummy: Both. Together. Aww...
Who distracts the other from trying to work at home: Shinra. Izaya is the one who works at home anyway lol. Shinra would either be out stitching people up or... bringing half dead bodies to his house to stitch them up, so I doubt Izaya would want to interfere.
Who asks to go get ice cream like a five year old: Shinra! Izaya doesn’t really like sweets anyway,
Who takes pictures of their partner eating ice cream: Izaya and Shinra, depending on the situation. Shinra would want it for memories. Izaya too but is more private and sneaky about it.
Who makes a sexual joke about the dripping ice cream on their partner’s face: Izaya. Shinra might think it but he isn’t overly sexual guy. And he respects the partner too much to say something like that.
Who cooks dinner: Shinra again.
Who cleans up the kitchen afterwards: Shinra again lol.
Who stays up until 2 reading: Izaya.
Who stares at their partner while their sleeping: Shinra.... the creeper that he is....
Who kisses their partner while they sleep: Izaya. Again Shinra respects the partner and won’t do that while Izaya would.
