( No reliable hadith about specifying worship on the night of 15th Sha'baan or about its virtues )
🔹 Sheikh ibn Baz writes on the 15th Shaban:
“Among the innovations that have been invented by some people is the celebrating of the middle of Sha’bān, and singling out that day for fasting. There is no reliable evidence for that. Some weak aḥādīth have been narrated concerning it's virtues, but we cannot regard them as reliable. The reports which have been narrated concerning the virtues of prayer on this occasion are all fabricated, as has been pointed out by many of the scholars.
( Hukm Ihtifāl bil-Laylat an-Nisf min Sha’ban’, pg. 8)
🔹 Sheikh saleh Fawzan responds to a question asking him about the significance of the 15th Shaban:
“Nothing firm and reliable has been established on the authority of the Prophet (ṣallallāhu alayhi wa-sallam) that he stood in prayer in the night and fasted during the day of the 15th of Sha’bān. So the night of the 15th of Sha’bān is like any other night, and if someone is a regular worshipper during other nights, then he may stand the night in prayer without assuming anything special. This is because specifying a time for any act of worship requires an authentic proof, and if there is no authentic proof then the act is regarded as an innovation and all innovations are misguidance….”
[‘ Nurun ala ad-Darb’, (1/87)]
🔹 Sheikh Ibn al-‘Uthaymeen commented on the 15th Shaban:
“That which is correct, is that, fasting the 15th of Sha’bān or specifying it with reciting (the Qur’ān) or making (particular) supplications has no basis. The day of the 15th of Sha’bān is like any other 15th day of other months.”
🌺 Rasulullah salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam said: ❛Two will never be gathered in the heart of a servant: Imaan and Hasad (envy / jealousy).❜ 【Sunan An-Nasa'i 3109 | Graded Fair】
Hasad is a terrible disease. My teacher aptly summarized hasad as: 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘢 𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘩, 𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘮 𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘢 𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 (feeling overjoyed over the misfortune of others, feeling deathly ill over the happiness of others). We need to remember that Allah ta'ala gives blessings to whomever He wants, and He withholds from whomever He wants — both the giving and the withholding is a test for all of us.
So focus on what you've got, and live a life of Alhamdulillah. Supplicate to Allah for the ones whom you envy to be blessed with khayr, because don't you know that the angels will say "Aameen, and for you as well"?
In part of a quote, Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan hafidhahullah said:
❛What cures hasad is by supplicating for your brother [in Deen] to be blessed.
Supplicate for him to be blessed, instead of wishing for the blessing to be removed from him.
Supplicate for him that the blessing he is given remain [with him], and for Allah to bless it.
This [supplication of yours] will not harm you.
Rather it is something through which Allah will benefit you!
Envy is cured with the likes of these [good] deeds.❜

We ask Allah to protect us from having hasad towards others, and protect us from the hasad of others. May Allah grant us the blessing of having good and righteous friends, and distance us from the hypocrites and those who are insincere.

Bilād al-Maghrib, 9th Ramadān 1444 - March 2023, straight after Iftār, before Ishā is even called out, a street vendor gets out all his produce (fresh farm cheese and other natural foods such as dates). Since COVID, and the exponential rise in food prices due to war and lifting of subsidies, poverty has increased significantly across the Arab world and many are experiencing tough living conditions. May Allāh aid the Muslims across the Ummah

"This is the salaah, that most people who affiliate to Islaam neglect and they say: 'Islaam is not salaah, Islaam is in the heart'. If Islaam were to be in the heart, you would not have left the salaah. Islaam is by the heart, Islaam is by the tongue, Islaam is also by deeds. It shows in all his affairs. As for the one who says ; Islaam and Eemaan are in the heart and leaves of salaah, as for this, there's no Eemaan nor Islaam in his heart. If Eemaan and Islaam were to be in his heart, he wouldn't have left salaah"
Why is a person’s du’a not answered, even though Allah says in the Qur’an: ❛Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer)…❜ [Surah Ghafir 40:60]
Sheikh Dr. Saleh al-Fawzan said (paraphrased):
The answer to a du’a is sometimes prevented due to the [shortcomings of the] person himself.
🌟 Rasulullah salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (ﷺ) mentioned a person who made du’a while his food is haraam, his drink is haraam, his clothing is haraam, and he has been nourished with haraam, then how can his supplication be answered? [Sahih Muslim 1015]
So Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala does not answer supplications from the one who eats from what is impermissible, until he makes tawbah and leaves off unlawful sustenance.
Another reason is that he may have made du’a without khushoo' (focus); or that he makes an evil du’a; or making supplications while he has severed a kinship.
🌟 Rasulullah ﷺ said: ❛The servant will continue to have his supplications answered as long as he does not ask for sin, or cutting family ties…❜ [Sahih Muslim 2735]
But sometimes, a du’a is not answered because Allah stops [the materialization of] that du’a. Even though the du’a is supplicated by a righteous servant of Allah with consistency, and his du'a is of goodness, Allah ends the materialization of that du’a for the benefit of His servant, and grants him something better [than what he originally asked for].
Thus what a servant of Allah should do is continue to supplicate to Allah with ikhlaas, and without despairing of His Rahmah.
🌟 Rasulullah ﷺ said: ❛Every one of you will have his supplications answered, as long as he is not impatient and says: I have supplicated, but I was not answered.❜ [Sahih al-Bukhari 6340]
*The dangers of Dhulm - oppression (of Allāh's slave) and harām income*

1776 - موانع قبول الدعاء - الشيخ صالح الفوزان
1776 - Deeds hindering the acceptance of supplications - Sheikh Sālih Al-Fawzan
Questioner :
We conclude this meeting with this question. The questioner asks what prevents the Duā - supplication, from being accepted ?
Sheikh Sālih al-Fawzān حفظه الله :
The deeds that hinder and block the Duā from being accepted are : evil action performed harming someone, and Dhulm - oppressing someone. And from what prevents and blocks the acceptance of Duā - supplication, is eating from harām income.
(The Prophet) ﷺ said about the man who stretches out his hands in supplication "Yā Rabb, Yā Rabb", during his travel, he stretches out his hands "Yā Rabb Yā Rabb", whilst his food is harām (unlawful), his drinking is harām, his clothing is harām, he has been nourished from harām. So his supplication could not be accepted because of that.
And also from what prevents the Duā from being accepted is that he makes Duā whilst his heart is careless and inattentive, his heart is not present during the Duā, or whilst he is not convinced that it will be answered (by Allāh).
(The Prophet) ﷺ said : supplicate Allāh when you are assured of being answered, for Allah does not answer a supplication that comes from a heart that is careless and inattentive.
" A person could increase in doing righteous deeds, however he could neglect and leave his tongue to harvest (kill) from them (the righteous deeds)! Like the similitude of the one who farms and lets another harvester harvest from his farm... He wouldn't leave anything for him! Thus, the tongue is the harvester that harvests your deeds should you speak about things that do not please Allaah. Upon you is to hold and tie it down, and be certain of its regulation (control) because the uprightness of the tongue is from the traits of Eemaan (faith)."
