Little known Bazzy fact: he has a bottomless love bucket and if I’m not home to keep the love tap running, he becomes Insufferable.

When I got home from the wedding last night (after having already been gone the first half of the day at a dog show), he hopped in place five times at the gate in greeting and brought me a bone. And now I’m all in my feels about just how joined at the hip they truly must be … they hold hands so much through the series just for the sake of friendship can you imagine how much they hold hands when they’re more secure in their relationship?

no because the interaction between them must be off the charts… they both take such a comfort in the other’s physical presence, as you say holding hands and of course all of the bed sharing and other entirely unnecessary but extremely married little touches that they share throughout the series (think peeta rubbing at a tense spot on her back when she can’t figure out the spile in the quell, and katniss stroking his hair back when they’re in the middle of a war zone underneath the capitol).

so when they’re actually together together, i think that they’re almost always touching.

he loops an arm around her waist while they walk through town, while she slips her hand into his pocket. on the couch at home, they either sit curled up together or with her legs across his lap as he sketches. sometimes, if he hasn’t slept great the night before she’ll sit with his head on her lap and play with his hair until he dozes off. he often returns the favor, running his blunt nails up and down her bare shoulders and back while she sprawls on her tummy on their bed. they’re not kissy in public, but in crowded places she likes to either hold his hand or he’ll walk close behind her with a hand somewhere on her just so she’s reminded of his presence. however in the comfort of their own home they are VERY kissy, greeting each other with little pecks to say hello and goodbye (katniss goes into a foul mood if he doesn’t kiss her goodbye in the mornings, even if he hates to wake her when she’s sleeping peacefully).

I think some inherent comfort of the party’s relationship, of why they’re so tightly knit and wholesome, is that it’s kinda the embodiment of "people that care for each other unconditionally, so much so that you could be the biggest freak on Earth and they would still not turn their back to you". Like, Laios’ whole character arc is that he was scared of others and their judgement, that he should hide a big part of himself and his interests to be tolerated if not accepted… But showing himself to others was the road through which the party bonded and got closer, and by the end of the story Laios literally turns into his monster because it was his biggest wish and everyone sees it and also he eats his human body a lot. After that he runs to the woods and is so scared of everyone not wanting to see him again, but y’know what. It’s fine his party still loves him, and aghhhh ouch my heart

I think also, Izutsumi was central to the party having a found family feel. The party was mostly made of work colleagues acquaintances, but adopting a stray/teenager that has no one on the way in your grand adventure really makes the whole family vibe skyrocket.

Two weeks with Aurora! Here's a recap of life so far.

Our targeted socialization was pretty successful, we managed a bunch of different experiences and she rocked them.

Monday: Busy street at rush hour

Tuesday: Train station

Wednesday: Construction site

Thursday: Bike path next to train line

Friday: Outside a coffee shop

Saturday: Baby hike in the wild

She's still doing great in overall good citizen behaviours. She has specifically been crushing:

✅ Sleeping through the night

✅ Name recognition

✅ Basic training skills

✅ Recovering from being startled

✅ Being crated quietly

Honestly she's doing amazing, I am so so proud of her. 💜

Areas for improvement for the week include:

✴ Bullying Pike (which is improving but still not great)

✴ Demand barking and overall noise level

✴ Chewing on the couch in excitment

Our biggest victories this week include:

🎉 Baby hike 2.0 with beautiful ranging, reasonable baby recall, and great enthusiasm

🎉 Calling off play with Pike on multiple occasions

Our big goals for next week:

🚀 Less harassment of Pinecone

🚀 Working through the foundation levels of the baby conditioning class I'm taking

Really excited for the next few weeks with this girl! 💜

Everything seemed peaceful as you and your lover slept. Until gwendoline felt a slight pressure on her stomach.

She forced her eyes open, trying to adjust to the darkness. When she saw your feet on her stomach, she sighed heavily. This wasn’t exactly unusual due to the fact you slept crazy.

You did warn her about this during your relationship, but it still annoyed her. She’s never complained about it to you though. She closed her eyes back and tried to go to sleep. You continued to move and twitch every 5 minutes. This was going to be a very long night.

You hummed as you started to stir out of your sleep. Smacking your lips you felt a bit of drool on your face, damn that was a good sleep. Couldn’t say the same for Gwen, you didn’t know that though.

You noticed that she wasn’t in bed, which made you question. Maybe my sleeping disturbed her? you thought, (yeah no duh). You stretched out your body before exiting out the bed. Feet padding down the stairs could be heard before your feet med the 1st floor.

You could hear light snoring coming from the living room. You sneaked into the living room, seeing Gwen’s long body laid along the couch. Your eyebrows raised up high, almost disappearing into the sky. (Haha rhymes)

This is when you realized, you needed to work on your sleeping habits. You didn’t want to disturb her but you were desperate for warmth and cuddles. You slowly climbed on her, laying on top of her, your head on her chest.

She thankfully didn’t wake up. Although she did an hour later, with you sleeping on top of her. She smiled, resting a hand on your back.

And his companions are left wandering in circles for two days as the air goes “stale,” not knowing where he is but thinking the worst, while he hallucinates in a dark room?

...because I'm thinking again about the times this definitely happened when he was with the Ponds.
