I love the idea that Rouge uses hyperbole to get Shadow to do things

In honor of me returning from my social media grave and finally finishing this fic, here is one final snippet!!!

Yes I know I literally just got back but I'm excited, okay. Push coda is officially no longer elusive. She is ALIVE.

"I love you, TK,” Carlos gasps. “I love you so much." The thought of TK not knowing that is still a pain weighing on his heart. He wants to ask him so many questions about the past few months, if they had been as hard for him as they had been for Carlos. He'll eventually want TK to tell him everything so that he can hug him and kiss him and swear that he'll never allow them to fall apart like that ever again. They both spent so long feeling alone and broken beyond repair, but they'll never have to be alone again. It’s a promise spoken through presses of their lips, gentle kisses that say I love you and I’m never letting you go. TK echoes him with tears in his eyes. Quiet words whispered against his lips because neither of them can force themselves to part again. "I love you too."

I've been gone for too long to be comfortable tagging loads of people since I don't know who still does these, but I still wanted to jump right back in and say hi since I still feel a little guilty for taking so long.

Do you think 10 would have had as big a connection to Rose without the foundation of Nine's background/relationship with her? I think they still would have been close, but I don't know if it would have gone AS fast or been AS open without Nine. just because he did love Rose so much and I think a lot of that carried over into 10. I mean 10's looks came about specifically because of how 9 thought she'd want her S/O to look!

Oooooooh excellent question. Short answer? No, at least not right away—but their chemistry is just so electric that I feel like it would have gotten there, given more time. (Also I’M SCREAMING I knew people said that but I didn’t realize it was actually CANON AAAAAUUGGHH)

Long answer, it raises the question if Ten would even be the same person without Nine and Rose’s relationship. This is kind of dipping into my own still-forming opinion on how the Doctor’s regenerations work (as I understand it there are differing opinions on how it works in-canon anyway), but Ten was created by Nine sacrificing himself for Rose—Ten is almost quite literally a manifestation of Nine’s love for her, which is why Rose is integral to Ten’s identity, even when she’s lost. It’s her name that keeps him fighting. It’s her influence that informs his decisions, even when she’s not there. She’s his center of gravity.

Honestly? I’m not sure Ten would even be Ten without meeting Rose, even disregarding the fact that he probably wouldn’t have gone through all that character development and healing without her (or at least in the same way). Especially given what you mentioned about his appearance, I like to think that Ten is Nine’s love for Rose blasted through a megaphone. Tenrose without that foundation just doesn’t work.

Bradley is never late with his homework and his projects. Never. His teachers nows, his mom knows and even the kid how tries to steal his fries during lunch knows. But this project? For this project is three days pass due date and his teacher has to call his mom before writing down a disciplinary note. It's a project about family she explains over thr phone maybe is because of his dad that's taking him so long? Carole finds herself looking around to find a little composure because there isn't a tragic explanation behind all of this. Actually his uncles were due back from deployment five days ago and Bradley wanted to show them the finished project before taking it to you but their carrier is stuck in the middle of the ocean waiting for the weather to get better. And so he doesn't want to take it to school. What a stubborn kid she has. If you let him take it back before his uncles are back I can make him take it to school tomorrow.

Yeah, the teacher answers after a minute of silence, yeah it's a compromise. But it has to be the first and last time.

Bradley original project had three photos of uncle Mav and uncle Ice: one each and one where they were cuddling. Plus a number of photos of every other uncle and a big photo all together. The final project, the one he has to take to school, has two photos of uncle Mav and uncle Ice, just one each, and Carole promises him they're going to put the third one back when he takes the project home that same afternoon. Bradley agrees.

(They are a week and two days later but finally they're home and they're there all together. Carole's living room isn't that big but they fit in a way or another and Bradley can show them is This is my family project. All the photos are back in place and Carole has to give each of this man a tissue, or two, because they're all crying when they see their names are all on the boards and the pictures! The pictures are the best part. A moment later Bradley finds himself hugged between eight grown men who are talking all together and trying to kiss hi head and his forhead all at the same time. Bradley laughs and tries to hugs them back and Carole takes another picture to add to the next family project.)

She always walks really funny when she has to wear them too and she doesn't realise she's doing it. She had to wear both for a full day and by lunchtime, she was so fucking done with them that she vanished for an hour and came back without them. They were later found, ripped to shreds in such a way they were completely unsalvageable so they couldn't be forced on her again.

Fazbear Ent have tried it a few times since but have never gotten her to wear them for very long and eventually gave up because replacing the socks and shoes every time costs too much money.
