Dragon Age Origins Modlist (Overhauls)
Even though I've never been asked to post this, I have spent months working on complete lists of all the mods I run for my DA metaverse (and corresponding games). All mods are linked in preferred order to work, with required mods clearly marked. Hope y'all enjoy and find use of this! Actual list is below the line.
These first few mods are general mods I highly recommend running any new game of Origins with, as it will save your butt:
The CharGenMorph Complier in particular is a life-saver, working for both DAO and DA2. It effectively removes the hunting-and-pecking of editing character creation features in Origins and 2 and automates it into a simple application! CharGenMorph is also required to run many hairstyle and physical changes for both DAO and DA2, which will be clearly marked below.

Mods to make followers/romances out of certain NPCs amuse me to no end. In a good way.
Like. The amount of love you must feel for a character to go THAT distance. Put THAT much work in. It's amazing. It's fucking wonderful.
Like the Joker romance mod for Mass Effect? Fucking spectacular.
.....that being said I'm forever surprised with the Ser Gilmor follower mode for DA:O. I barely even remembered the man as soon as the prologue ended, and someone loved him enough to create THAT. Magic is what it is.

First game you ever played: Like first first would probably Super Mario World on the SNES. Being the youngest of 3 I only really got to play when one of my other sister would get tired of it since they’d tag team it as Mario and Luigi without me.
Favorite game: Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines my dude. It’s the game that actually fully got me into gaming. Especially PC gaming. As a kid I for some reason thought PC gaming was a whole new horrible world since I grew up with consoles mostly. Bloodlines helped me realize I honestly prefer PC and that there’s a whole world out there of not co-op or multiplayer games (which I was restricted to growing up due to having siblings. We weren’t really allowed many non multiplayer or co-op games since that would leave people out and such).
Game you hated at first but now love: Arkham Knight. I was part of the group that went for the PC release and decided to power through the lag and terrible frames and just overall broken hell to finish it. It was a terrible experience but I needed it. After it got all fixed way later I actually came to really enjoy it.
Game you used to love but now hate: Knights of the Old Republic. Now, hear me out it’s a good game and all but I’ve just gotten kinda bored with it. Played it too many times I guess. Plus I’m actually not that huge of a Star Wars fan so there’s not a giant draw from a fandom level for me.
Game with the best group / companion(s): Dragon Age: Origins
A game with your favorite ending: Portal 2.
A game with the worst ending: Imma agree with Magical here and say Fallout 4. Just, why?
Best character customization: That’s not a hentai game? Skyrim. Unmodded it’s already pretty good when it comes to variety but mod that shit and it’s beauty.

Your favorite playable character: Zero from Borderlands. He’s a babe and I honestly just love Borderlands. Plus his skills are basically when I tend to go for in games so it makes for the perfect set up for me.
The funniest playable character: My boy Timothy the Jack Doppleganger. Helps that one of his possible skills is Jack coming on to spew “inspiring” thoughts.

Favorite game relationship(s): Inquisitor/Cullen, Geralt/Yen, Darien Gautier/FemVestige. Yeah I know it’s not like a full on relationship but but he’s beautiful and I love him. And I mean if you count Smolder Scrolls as being cannon it works.
Favorite companion banter: Dragon Age: Origins. Just but Alistair in with Morrigan and it’s a good time. Or Alistair with literally anyone.
A relationship you loved but went bad: AGAIN DARIEN. My love. Why must we be separated. Also need I say Yuri from Doki Doki?
A relationship you weren’t sure of but loved: Honestly, when I started Mass Effect I wasn’t sure about Liara. Like I started with a thing with Kaidan but grew to dislike him and when I tried a second save I thought ok I’ll try Liara. Never looked back.
A character you wish you COULD romance: OK I’m not a furry buuuut Razum-dar. Let me romance that cat. Smolder Scrolls just made me want to romance him even more. Why do you tease me ESO.

Shoutout to a random NPC: To that random merchant just happening to walk by a dungeon in Skyrim as I finished looting it and decided to carry fucking everything out- I love you. You know how long it woulda taken me to get back to a city to fucking sell that shit? You saved my life sir.
A game you love watching playthroughs for and want to play: Right now it’s Predator Hunting Grounds
Love watching playthroughs but won’t ever play: Dead by Daylight. I used to love the game but after some toxic hell I don’t play anymore. Still fun to watch though.
Online gaming or solo?: Solo unless it’s specifically with friends. I’m not fond of MMOs or playing with strangers.
Why do you play video games?: Because it’s fun. I get to be whoever and get to explore without consequence.

Restarted again, this time to spend more time with an outfit. Which is a perfectly normal thing to do.
Related Brynn Facts:
Her best friend is Ser Gilmore. Neither has any romantic interest in the other; it would be like incest to them.
She and Dairren are frequent lovers but as neither has any interest in marriage, they keep their affair secret. Fergus knows, but says nothing.
She’s an atheist but always accepts blessings when offered, and will happily say them for others.
As desperate as she is to get out there and fight Darkspawn, she doesn’t want to be a Grey Warden; she’s very much a conscript, not a recruit.
She never forgives Duncan for conscripting her instead of recruiting Ser Gilmore, and she never forgives him for (immediately) going back on his promise to save her mother (if he can take her against her will, he can take Eleanor). As far as she is concerned, he is as much responsible for their deaths as Arl Howe.
She never forgives Duncan for, as she sees it, exploiting the massacre of her family to get his first choice.
Duncan has to drag her kicking and screaming away from Highever.
By the time they reach Ostagar, she’s willing to put her feelings aside for the sake of stopping the Blight. Or perhaps she’s too numb to hate. She isn’t sure.
She is NOT impressed with Cailan.

sooo.... tell me about Saphira! who did she romance? who are her friends? who are her ride or dies? what's her doggo's name? who did she side with throughout the game? tell me everything ahhhh
ooh of course 😺 she’s romancing Alistair, and that has never changed the many times I’ve played her lmao. her bffs are Morrigan, Leliana (Alistair ofc) and Sten. Sten and Leliana are new friends though, I didnt used to care for them much?? but I’ve managed to pick all the good dialogue options for them on this run without trying and I cant believe how much I adore them. Surprisingly, she’s been very neutral with wynne and zevran. whereas before, saphira would flirt with zevran until asked to stop lmao, and I would imagine that she didnt take wynnes questioning too personally. (she does now and keeps her at arms length because of it.)
The doggo’s name is Popcorn and that hasn’t changed since I first created her either lol. I’ve always wondered if there was popcorn in Thedas? but I can’t imagine myself naming the pup anything else now.
I’m still not finished with her PT, but currently she has sided with the mages, and got the circle to help save connor. I’m doing the Dalish mission now because I didnt want to go for the Urn immediately and get whooped by that dragon… lol
And hmm some other stuff about her, she and ser gilmore were in love and she was considering running away with him before the attack on castle cousland. they got caught caboodling (or about to) and received several talks before she was sent to a bunch of matchmaking events & him as far away as possible at every opportunity. ser gilmore didn’t want to disrespect the couslands by continuing their thing after he returned from his “trips” for a good while, but saphira pushed it and they agreed to be a lot more careful. eleanor and bryce kind of understood their infatuation but wanted saphira to realize she couldn’t marry him. so she was a little upset with them, and deciding whether she wanted to stay with her family or abandon everything for ser gilmore. but then ofc, howe attacks and none of that matters lol.
I recently decided that while she was a decent fighter before becoming a grey warden, she’s not as good as she thinks she is and ends up getting hurt a lot in the first chunk of the game. (this is mostly because everyone beats the shit out of her in game and I play as alistair 50% of the time lmao. I can’t wait to beef her up ;~; ) fergus and eleanor made sure that her “training” was just a hobby and not too intensive. it was also to keep her away from ser gilmore since their fighting/training was what got them interested in each other in the first place 👀
other than that, I’m still adding stuff to her character as I go! its so weird noticing new stuff about origins because Im playing it again for the ___th time almost a decade later. I guess maybe Im just paying closer attention now. and I’m actually roleplaying now instead of just trying to appease all the npcs.

Honestly some good Dragon Age Origins mods are
General mods
Extra Dog Slot- Lets you take Barkspawn alongside three other companions without taking up a slot. All the dialogue triggers work as well.
Dragon Age Redesigned- Redesigns the game to be prettier and has both an “aesthetic” and a “lore-friendly” version
Skip Fade- Lets you skip one of the most obnoxiously designed areas in Origins and still get the codex and attribute points (though I do recommend going through it at least once for the novelty).
Improved Atmosphere- It does exactly as it implies. It adds new NPC ambient routines, redoes items, etc. and everything can be installed in parts so you can decide what you want and don’t want.
Qwinn’s Ultimate DAO fixpack- fixes a majority of the bugs that plague the vanilla game.
Pineapppletree’s Vibrant Colors- Adds a lot more colors to the character creator.
More Hairstyles- Adds more attractive hairstyles to the character creator. If used with Vibrant Colors, get the compatibility mod as well.
Character Respecialization- Adds ravens to every major location and camp so you can respec your character if you find out you wanna try a different build.
No Helmets- Hides the ugly helmets from the character models.
Lock Bash- Lets you bash open chests if your character isn’t a rogue or doesn’t meet lock requirements.
CC Extra Tint and Tones- Adds more skin tones, tattoo tones, etc. and some hairstyles to the character creator.
Alley of Murders- An entire mini fan-campaign that you can do during the main quest, and it doesn’t conflict anything.
Universal Dye Kit- Lets you customize your armor and acts as a portable enchantment kit.
Ser Gilmore Companion- Fully voiced, romance paths, etc. for Ser Gilmore. He’s basically a companion with this mod.
Morrigan Restoration Patch- Restores dialogue for Morrigan, and there’s epilogue slide fixes with it.
More “niche” mods
ZevranASAP- Lets you meet Zevran earlier instead of his vanilla game recruitment time.
Courage of Zevran- Zevran specific custom armor..
Zevring- Gives Zevran’s ring actual stats based on your class and lets you obtain it when he offers it a second time.
Armor of the Black Fox- Decent Rogue armor that looks good and fairly good for RP purposes.
Dalish Mage - Origins - Lets a Dalish Origin be a mage.
Devout Armor- Leliana specific custom armor (and comes with a second more “generic” set).
Armor of the Sten- Sten specific custom armor.
Forced Deathblows- exactly what it describes.
Zevran Romance Scenes- Extends Zevran’s scenes.
TW Zevran Wedding- It only works for a Dalish player, but it ties up everything fairly neatly if you take his route.

You know, my favorite thing about the Ser Gilmore mod is that it exists. That someone saw this random npc with like, three lines, and decided to put the time and effort into creating entire dialogues, histories, a personality, and even voice acting, and then put it out into the world for anyone to enjoy. I just love that kind of creativity and appreciation for minor characters.

“怎么样？打听到你朋友的消息了？”泽弗兰(Zevran)审视着奥根(Oghren)——他明显有些失落……
“哎，她在家照顾生病的老妈。好久没来了。”奥根抬抬眼睛说。
“没关系，她总会回来的。我们过段时间再来看看。”艾瑞卡(Erika)安慰道。
“我想也是。”奥根的眼中多了些希望。
从法环返回红崖(Redcliffe)之前，大家陪着奥根去了趟卡兰哈德湖码头(Lake Calenhad Docks)的“被宠坏的公主”旅店，他想要找一个在地表的老朋友。
“这些可怜的人……”温妮(Wynne)叹息着看了看旅店大厅中买醉的人们，显然瘟潮和内战让他们陷入了绝望。
“你听说了吗？关于洛甘国主(Teyrn Loghain)的人在永高(Highever)遭到袭击。”旁边一个男人对他同桌的朋友说。
艾瑞卡立刻转身看着他们，注意力完全被吸引了……
“当然，是奥斯温(Oswin)的一群猎人，瓦德瑞克男爵(Bann Valdric)的手下。”他的朋友回应道。
“我是说后来，你知道洛甘国主是怎么报复他们的吗？太惨了。”第一个客人又说。他的朋友摇摇头，示意他继续……“他下令把他们都吊在刑柱上，不给他们食物和水，让他们祈求怜悯……”
“为什么洛甘要对他们做这样的事？”艾瑞卡走上去问道。
那两个客人被她激烈的语气稍稍惊到，上下打量着她……
“你都不知道吗？”第一个客人奇怪地看着她，“那可是前段时间的大新闻。”
“我们一直在南方。”蕾莉亚娜(Leliana)接道，“你们知道那儿现在变得有些……封闭。”
“南方？”那两个客人更惊讶了，“这时候你们年轻女士还敢在那儿……”
“不是任何人都像洛甘一样被暗裔(Darkspawn)追着跑。”艾瑞卡冷冷地讽刺道，“为什么他要对那些猎人这样残忍。”
“我很抱歉打扰了你们。”蕾莉亚娜礼貌地冲两个客人笑笑，“介意我们坐在这儿？”
“不不！当然不，请便。”那两个男人欣喜地挪了挪，空出各自长凳的一半。
“噢，谢谢，你们真好心。”泽弗兰一屁股坐到其中一个客人身边，冲他咧嘴笑着。
“哎，那我就不客气了。”奥根也坐到另外一个人身边。
那两个客人向他们讲述了最近发生的一些事情：几个月前洛甘的军队进驻了永高，宣称那儿将爆发叛乱。起初他的借口是调查库斯兰(Cousland)一家被杀，但所有人都看得出实际上他是去帮助兰登•豪尔(Rendon Howe)镇压当地质疑他篡权的贵族们。终于，一个月前，他的一队士兵在城外宿营时遭到袭击——他们在深夜被人用火箭点燃了帐篷，死了20多人。洛甘很快展开了调查和抓捕，接着就是残酷的报复。
但更残酷的是他的人闯到格瑞恩女爵(Bann Grainne)的庄园里谋杀了她，因为她拒绝给洛甘的军队纳粮而放火烧了自己的农田，烧死了他的三个部下。而且这样的悲剧正在许多地方上演。洛甘用各种残酷，甚至卑劣的手段打压着反对他的贵族们……
“我不知道你们费罗登(Ferelden)还有在议和的谈判桌上杀死对手的传统。”泽弗兰有些惊讶地眨着眼睛。
“谈判桌？”艾瑞卡发出嗤笑，“洛甘曾经在教堂里做过这样的事。”
“哦……那……”泽弗兰更惊讶了，“那非常……亵渎啊，真的……”
“那你们说怎么还会有人蠢到和他谈判呢？”奥根大笑着，“那个……呃，叫什么男爵？”他看看那两个客人。
“布若纳克男爵(Bann Bronach)。”其中一人答道。
“因为那时候他的对手是投降了奥莱人(Orlesian)的叛国贼。”艾瑞卡解释说，“为了报复他们先在谈判中杀害莫伊拉(Moira)女王，而且据说这是玛瑞克(Maric)国王的主意。”
温妮留意到阿历斯特(Alistair)立刻阴沉下去的表情，揉了揉他的肩膀。
泽弗兰叹息着摇摇头，“要我说，只要有一次就会有第二次，那个布若纳克男爵也太不小心了。”
“哈，你说的让我想到赛奥利克男爵(Bann Ceorlic)。”一个客人看着艾瑞卡笑道。
“你是说那个砍下莫伊拉女王的头献给篡位者的叛徒，还是他儿子？”艾瑞卡冷冷地问。
“呃……他儿子。”那人被她不友好的回应泼了盆冷水……
“他宣布支持安诺拉(Anora)王后的统治。”他的朋友接过话茬，“其实他是怕洛甘报复他，因为他的领地挨着洛甘的地盘。”
蕾莉亚娜在桌子下轻轻握住艾瑞卡因为愤怒而攥紧的拳头，担心地注视着她——她看起来像是恨不得立刻掐死什么人一样……
但艾瑞卡竟然“噗哧”一声笑了出来……“有其父必有其子。”
“那是什么意思？”一个客人问，奇怪地看着她。
“赛奥利克，豪尔……”艾瑞卡狠狠念着后一个名字……
“都是叛徒的儿子。”阿历斯特也冷冷地说，“看看洛甘的身边都是些什么人。”
“但洛甘国主的父亲是位爱国者。”一个客人接到，“他为了保护玛瑞克国王而死……”
“而他的儿子背叛了凯兰(Cailan)国王和灰色守望者(Grey Warden)，把他们丢给了暗裔！”阿历斯特愤愤地喊道。
那两个客人又惊又怕地看了看周围……“小心点儿，朋友，你会给我们惹来麻烦。”其中一人压低声音说。
“我倒是希望洛甘有胆量面对我们。”艾瑞卡轻蔑地冷笑道。
“你们……是谁？”那两个客人疑惑地打量着他们……
“把他从王宫里拖出来的人。”艾瑞卡冷冷地答道。

离开被宠坏的公主，大家乘船南下，返回红崖。临走时艾瑞卡买下了那儿仅剩的两瓶蜜酒和一些朗姆酒，而蕾莉亚娜怀疑她打算在到达红崖之前把它们喝完……
“哦……糟透了……”艾瑞卡喝了一口朗姆酒，抱怨地嘟囔着。
蕾莉亚娜走过来，举起瓶子闻了闻那酒的气味……
“恶～你确定还要喝它？”她被熏了一鼻子酒精气，嫌弃地把酒瓶放到一边。
“他们没有白兰地，而且这是最后剩下的蜜酒……”艾瑞卡指了指旁边放着的俩空瓶子……“而且他们的麦酒和葡萄酒都是掺水的，而且奥根和温妮不愿意给我他们从法环带的酒。”她抱怨着，又灌了自己一杯朗姆酒。
蕾莉亚娜疑惑地打量着她，怀疑她已经有些醉了……
“你以前喝过朗姆酒吗？”她坐到艾瑞卡身旁问道。
“没有，我父母说那对‘年轻女士’来说太烈了。”艾瑞卡笑着摇摇头，凑近到蕾莉亚娜耳边……“但我舅舅偷偷告诉我，我母亲从小就爱喝朗姆酒。我猜这就是我父亲打不过她的原因。”她悄悄说完，又灌下一杯酒。
“我猜你母亲喝的不是‘这样的’朗姆酒。”蕾莉亚娜皱了皱眉头——她看见酒里还有酒渣……
“店老板说能喝到这个就不错了。”艾瑞卡的笑容中有些傻气。“你看到那些人都是用什么换酒？任何值钱的东西……”她的手挥了个圆，“只要能把他们自己灌醉。但我想在酒馆里只能让他们更烦恼……”
“太多坏消息了，是吗？”蕾莉亚娜低声说，给自己倒了半杯朗姆酒，浅嘬了一点点。
“你像这样喝的话，在你喝完这些之前我就会把剩下的都喝了哦……”艾瑞卡看着她傻笑道。
“我不和你争，继续。”蕾莉亚娜挥挥手。
“你怕喝醉？”艾瑞卡可爱地稍稍歪着头，“我会照顾你，直到一周后你在红崖醒来只穿着你的鞋子和……”她急忙打住，尴尬地别开视线。
“呃，我保证不会……”蕾莉亚娜眨着眼睛，思索着如何摆脱尴尬……
“但是你很快就会像醉酒的猴子了。”她狡猾地挑了挑嘴角，“你知道你喝醉了吗？”
“我知道……”艾瑞卡又挥挥手，感受着自己已经失控的力度……
“很好，你还没有醉到失去理智。”蕾莉亚娜笑道。
“如果我想，我早就试着用头走路了。”艾瑞卡又倒了一杯，把空瓶轻轻放到一边。“醉酒是很丢人的，我不想再让任何人嘲笑我。”她轻轻地说，“所以我……不会醉。”她呆呆地望着蕾莉亚娜。
“你只是……”蕾莉亚娜惊讶地眨眨眼睛，“哦……小可怜。”
悲伤渐渐占据了艾瑞卡的脸，她皱着眉头钻进了蕾莉亚娜的怀里……“你永远不会嘲笑我，是吗？”她小声说。
“也许……��得看你做了什么。”蕾莉亚娜揉着她的后背，“我不会因为你灌醉自己而嘲笑你。”
艾瑞卡点点头，又搂得更紧些。
“但是，如果你想要谈谈，我就在这里。”蕾莉亚娜又柔声说。
艾瑞卡抬头看看她，在她怀里安静地趴了一会儿，才坐起身注视着她的眼睛……
“我知道我们谈过这个，但是……”她按了按眼角，藏起快掉下来的泪水……“在知道发生在永高的那些事情后，我怎么还能留在这里？我的家族发誓会保护那里的人民，我应该在那儿。现在我们有军队去面对暗裔，但在大恶魔死之前，洛甘会杀了所有敢于反抗他的人，他能做到……”
“他会吗？”蕾莉亚娜严峻地皱着眉头。
“我毫不怀疑……”艾瑞卡脆弱地说，“这个时候需要一个强大的声音让人们团结起来，而不是留着那些反对的杂音。”
“那么他更应该联合所有人，而不是……杀光反对他的人。”蕾莉亚娜有些不可思议地眨眨眼睛。
“我想他已经疯了……”艾瑞卡揉了揉双眼，接着把脸藏在交叉撑在桌上的双手后，“我觉得在奥斯塔伽(Ostagar)，他不像我曾经认识的那个人。但我当时甚至没有留意这些。”
“他曾经是什么样的？”蕾莉亚娜好奇地问。在她自己曾经听过的那些奥莱人的传说中，洛甘无非是天才指挥官或是恐怖的恶魔两种形象。
“我上次见到他是在永高，我家……他在那儿等待我父亲和凯兰国王从奥莱返回。”艾瑞卡低声说，“那时候安拉夫(Anlaf)只有这么大……”她用双手示意出大约两英尺，“一天晚上洛甘偷偷喂他零食，还给他讲故事。”
“我……觉得很难想象。”蕾莉亚娜眨巴着眼睛说……
* * *
一年前
“妹妹……莉萨(Lissa)……”
艾瑞卡听到一个温柔的声音呼唤着她，感觉到她怀里抱着的小小的身躯……
“让我来……起床了，小狗(Pup)！”
另一个大嗓门吵醒了她，她睁开眼睛，看到弗格斯(Fergus)得意地坏笑着，手捂着睡在她怀里的奥伦(Oren)的耳朵。
“做的好，我的丈夫。”奥瑞亚娜(Oriana)责备地斜了他一眼，弗格斯立刻收起了笑容，装出一脸无辜的样子。
“天黑了，妹妹，你应该回房间去睡。”奥瑞亚娜温柔地对艾瑞卡说。
“哦。”艾瑞卡放下手中的童话书。
奥伦在她怀里揉了揉身体，他也被弗格斯吵醒了……
“嗨……妈妈。”他看着奥瑞亚娜小声说，还没完全睁开眼睛，看起来可爱极了。
“嗨，奥伦，我们回房间吧。”奥瑞亚娜轻轻从艾瑞卡怀里抱起他。
“嗯……”奥伦回头看看还坐在椅子上的艾瑞卡，冲她抓抓小手……“拜拜，姑姑。”
“拜拜，奥伦。”艾瑞卡站起来，握着他的手，亲了亲他的额头。
“怎么样？”弗格斯看着她，“要不要我把你也这样抱回房间。”他又咧嘴笑了。
“不需要。”艾瑞卡皱起眉头，恼怒地看着他……她小时候经常在书房睡着，父亲或是哥哥会把她抱回房间。
“她不是12岁了。”奥瑞亚娜笑着说，“你今晚喝了太多白兰地，妹妹，早些休息吧。”
“没错，在你像个醉酒的猴子之前，快回去吧。”弗格斯又说。艾瑞卡越发恼怒地瞪着他。
“别再欺负莉萨了，弗格斯。”奥瑞亚娜有些严厉地说。
“我没有欺负她，那是事实。”弗格斯假装出无辜的表情。
“晚安，姐姐。”艾瑞卡没有理他，和奥瑞亚娜轻轻拥抱了对方。
“晚安……福吉(Ferki)。”她又斜了哥哥一眼，先一步离开了书房。
艾瑞卡没有往卧室走。她知道安拉夫趁她睡着的时候溜出了书房，而且她知道在哪儿能找到他……而且她最好赶在楠(Nan)发现他之前。
“这里……一些烤肉，还有奶酪皮。”还没走到厨房，她就听到不远处一个男人的声音，还有安拉夫撒娇的哼唧声……“我从晚餐里留下的。哈！对你有好处。”男人笑道，安拉夫发出兴奋的鸣叫声。
“嘘……别让其他人发现了。”男人压低声音说，安拉夫立刻停止了鸣叫。
艾瑞卡听出是洛甘国主的声音，那让她有些吃惊。她向着那个墙角走过去，虽然并不是刻意而为，但她柔软的鞋底还是没有发出明显的声音……
“我看到了，你的女士对你太严厉了，对吗？”洛甘又说，安拉夫发出一阵压低的抱怨声。“严厉并不是什么坏事，尤其对于一个战士而言。你想成为一个战士保护她吗？”
艾瑞卡从楼梯顶上看清了他们——穿着费罗登(Ferelden)礼服长袍的洛甘坐在台阶上，安拉夫冲他殷切地点着头。
“很好。”洛甘温柔地拍拍他，看着安拉夫低头继续吃他给的零食。
“我曾经有一只玛巴瑞(Mabari)。爱达拉(Adalla)——那是她的名字……”过了片刻，洛甘轻轻地说，安拉夫抬起头，舔舔嘴唇歪头看着他，期待他的故事……
“一天晚上我们在木棚下发现了她。她那时候还是一只小狗，就像你这么大……”洛甘低头看看安拉夫，“我们从来没有想通，她是从哪儿来的。我的母亲管她叫‘创造者的礼物’。哼～而她是，她真的是。”他笑了笑，声音里充满温暖……“她很美。有一身可爱的栗色毛皮。最聪明，最善解人意的眼神。你会喜欢她的。”洛甘又低头看着安拉夫，而安拉夫咧嘴笑着，欢快地摇晃着小尾巴。
“我们一起长大。她从来没有离开过我身边，一次都没有。”洛甘继续说，“她和我们在一起十年……直到她被带走。”他的声音里的温暖一下子消失了，变得冷酷……安拉夫歪头望着他，焦急地等待着接下来的故事，而洛甘似乎正望着远处发呆……
“也许下一次。”过了片刻，他才回过神来，“吃完你的零食。”他指了指安拉夫面前的食物，又轻轻抚摸他。
艾瑞卡站在楼梯顶上，思索着洛甘的故事……她想知道结局，但她又不好问……
远处传来巡视的卫兵身上锁甲的碰撞声和脚步声，艾瑞卡急忙退后一些，接着故意发出声响。
“哦，晚上好，我的女士。”吉尔莫爵士转过弯看清她，立刻停在原地向她行礼。
“晚上好，吉尔莫爵士。”艾瑞卡也对颔首回礼。
洛甘站起身的动静吸引了吉尔莫的注意，他警觉地望向那边，同时将艾瑞卡掩到身后，右手搭在了剑柄上。
“是我，洛甘。”洛甘立刻说，语气没有刚才对安拉夫的温柔和轻松，听起来威严却又难以亲近。
“噢……洛甘国主！”吉尔莫激动地声音都在颤抖，立刻站了个笔挺的军姿，下巴抬得高高的。
艾瑞卡抬手挡住了自己的笑容，偷偷瞥向安拉夫刚才的位置——他已经藏到了她看不见的地方……
“晚上好，库斯兰(Cousland)小姐。”洛甘走到他们身边，先冲艾瑞卡点点头，艾瑞卡向他行了个优雅的屈膝礼。
“晚上好，士兵。”洛甘似乎对吉尔莫的仪态感到满意，脸上稍稍柔和了些。“你叫什么名字？”
“罗……罗兰德……”吉尔莫结结巴巴地说，“罗兰德•吉尔莫爵士(Ser Roland Gilmore)，大人。”他又站得更挺拔了一些……
“吉尔莫……”洛甘思索了一下，“你和吉尔莫男爵有亲戚关系吗？”
“他……他是我的父……父亲。我是布莱斯(Bryce)国主的侍从……大人！”吉尔莫的脸都快羞红了。
“啊，能为布莱斯服务你一定很自豪吧？那是个荣誉。”洛甘点点头。
“是的，我感到非常自豪。大人。”吉尔莫的紧张稍稍褪去一些。
“布莱斯是个好人，一个爱国者。埃莉诺夫人(Teyrna Eleanor)也是。他们都在独立战争中证明了自己对费罗登的价值。你非常幸运，年轻人。”洛甘拍拍他的肩膀。
“是的，国主大人……”吉尔莫的声音又在发抖了。
“很好。”洛甘又满意地打量了他一眼，“那么回到你的岗位上吧，吉尔莫爵士。”
“是！”吉尔莫高声应道，先后对艾瑞卡和洛甘恭敬地行礼，快步返回了他的巡视岗位。
“那么你呢？库斯兰小姐。”洛甘又看着艾瑞卡，“天色已经不早了，是吗？”他抬头看看天空。
“是的……”艾瑞卡轻轻应道，稍稍思索了一下……
“我在找安拉夫——我的玛巴瑞战犬。洛甘国主，您看到他了吗？”她假装天真无辜的样子。
“不，我没看见你的‘小狗’。”洛甘轻松地答道，在说到“小狗”时稍稍抬了抬嘴角。
艾瑞卡移开了视线……她确信洛甘是故意的——他知道她不喜欢别人喊她的小名。
“那么我最好看看他在不在我的房间。”她冲洛甘礼貌地笑笑，又行了个屈膝礼，转身准备离开。
“我听说了你去年冬天的事迹，库斯兰小姐。非常令人印象深刻。”洛甘又轻描淡写地说，艾瑞卡停下脚步，回头看着他……“我正好也要返回客房，可否与你同行一段？”他平静地问。
“当然，洛甘国主。”艾瑞卡点点头，怀疑他是在给安拉夫制造逃回房间的机会。
他们俩并肩走着。不像其他贵族大人，洛甘并不会邀请女士挽着他的手臂。他只顾自己背着手慢慢走路，这反而让艾瑞卡感到自在些。
“那么，你一夜间亲手杀了20多个掠夺者？”洛甘看着她问。
“是您自己省去了关键的部分，还是这就是您听说的全部？”艾瑞卡看着他反问。
“哈！好问题。”洛甘笑了，“这是我听到的第一个版本，我可以这样回答你。”
“那么想必您已经听说过完整的故事了。”艾瑞卡也笑笑。
“我只是想说，能够消灭敌人总是好的，无论是从正面还是背后。”洛甘轻松地说。
“我也这样认为。”艾瑞卡发出一声有些懊恼的鼻息声。
“你父母似乎并不这样认为。”洛甘又低头看着只到他肩膀的艾瑞卡。
艾瑞卡抬头看着他，露出一个天真的笑容。“而您似乎在暗示，建议我不要听从我父母的教导。”
“哈哈～我可没有那样说！”洛甘放松地大笑道，没有了刚才的难以亲近，看起来甚至有些顽皮……
“你让我想起安诺拉在你这个年纪的时候。”他眯起眼睛看着艾瑞卡，“她小时候喜欢练习剑术。考瑟琳爵士(Ser Cauthrien)是她的导师。”
艾瑞卡微笑着转回头，没有让洛甘看见她眼里的不快……但她同时觉得自己对安诺拉的反感多少让她对洛甘有些偏见。
“那是我的荣幸，洛甘国主。我母亲经常赞美安诺拉王后。尤其是关于她和凯兰国王当年在西山的英勇事迹。”她礼貌地说。
“啊……那是在他们18岁的时候。那么你有没有听说他们在酒窖中与食人魔军队战斗的‘英勇事迹’？”洛甘笑着问，逗乐地看着艾瑞卡，期待着她的追问。
“没有。”艾瑞卡平静地答道，“他们那时候一定非常年幼。”
“是的……”洛甘的表情显然有些小小的失望，“那时候他们大约七岁。总之那就是他们对所有碎瓶子的解释，哈！”他又笑了，“我猜你那么大的时候不会做这样的事情吧。”
“我希望自己可以那么勇敢。”艾瑞卡轻轻地说，没有看他。
她的心里满是不服气——在母亲的描述中，安诺拉就是全世界最完美的淑女，而她做了这么多叛逆的事情……艾瑞卡自己可从来没有这样！除了去年那次……
“啊，我的房间到了。”洛甘停下脚步看着艾瑞卡，“很感谢你陪我这个老头走这段路，库斯兰小姐。”
他慈祥地微笑着，但艾瑞卡却怎么也无法将他和“老头”联系在一起——她知道洛甘比她父亲还稍年长些，但他看起来比实际年龄年轻十多岁。
“我的荣幸，洛甘国主。”艾瑞卡又行了屈膝礼，“晚安。”
“祝你早些找到你的战犬。”洛甘稍稍欠了欠身，“晚安，库斯兰小姐。”
艾瑞卡对他笑笑，转身向自己的房间走去，听着身后洛甘开关房门的声音……
当她进入自己的房间，发现安拉夫已经睡在他的小帐篷里，而艾瑞卡怀疑他在装睡……
“晚安，孩子。”她轻轻摸了摸他的头，安拉夫不自觉地摇了摇尾巴。
艾瑞卡脱掉她的天鹅绒礼服长裙，换上睡衣。刚躺到她的大床上，就突然想起忘了对洛甘说一件重要的事情——一个感谢，为他第一次见到她时说的一句话……
* * *
“我们到红崖了！”泽弗兰边喊边拉开了艾瑞卡和蕾莉亚娜所在的船舱门，奥根也和他一起，坏笑着伸进脑袋……
“哦。”蕾莉亚娜从桌子前站起身，推了推已经在小床上睡着的艾瑞卡。
“叭！真无趣。”奥根沮丧地喊道，转身离开了船舱。
“下次记得敲门，泽弗。”蕾莉亚娜走到他身前，狡猾地挑了挑嘴角。
“我……会的，很抱歉。”泽弗兰灰溜溜地逃开了。
蕾莉亚娜无奈地翻翻白眼，回头发现艾瑞卡还没醒……
“艾瑞卡，我们到了。”她又轻轻推推艾瑞卡的肩膀。
“海狼的女儿……”艾瑞卡迷迷糊糊地说。
“什么？”蕾莉亚娜有些惊讶——她还从没听过艾瑞卡说梦话。
“只会是小狼崽。”艾瑞卡又咕哝道。

Gilmore在游戏中只有姓氏，没有名字。据我所知Ser Gilmore companion NPC中他的名字是Roland，昵称Rory。但我没玩过该MOD。
