kinda insane how penny dreadful season 3 was like “we women are tired of submitting to men” only for vanessa to do it at the end with dracula and worse than that how not only they killed off the character that had been fighting the darkness inside her since the very beginning but they basically made her commit suicide because that was the only way she would find peace and the world would be right like such a nice message to give to everyone lmaooooo

I am stuck on the “breathe, breathe”. I’ve been stuck on it and I just cannot stop thinking about it. how can anyone? no, because listen. tk just woke up from a honest to god coma. he doesn’t know anything. he’s probably tremendously confused, scared and in his fair share of pain. and yet his eyes fixate on carlos in 0.2 seconds. and what does he do right after? he notices he is not breathing, so paralyzed by fear and self-doubt that nothing of him is moving and tk sees it, because he's so aware of him it’s more reflex than conscious thought. carlos doesn’t have to utter word for him to understand what he’s thinking, where his mind is going, and how to fix it and pull him back. they are so unbelievably seen by one another, so attuned to each other’s presence. they love each other so much, and tk knows it before he knows anything else. he just regained conciousness, merely a brush away from death, and -- and. his hand is for him to touch, to take. his head is his to kiss, if he only were to come closer. and his first words are for him, ready and willing and almost desperate in offering the reassurance he so fiercely needs. the world just came back into focus and carlos is already at the center of it.

rewatching 2x02 and two things from that beginning kacy scene:

kate wanting to introduce lucy to her boss - cannot and will not get over that character trajectory for her

lucy deserves that sfm 😩 if only s1 lucy could see how far kate has come and all bc kate’s so fucking in love w her

the whole convo in general, it’s so short but you can see how much of a team they are within their relationship

anyways far be it for me to complain but the way they were in the first few eps of s2 was how i was expecting them to be in s3 and so far idt we’ve really gotten that

I hate the editors and writers for not making Jiara have a scene with dialogue after JJ helps his dad leave on a boat then it just cuts to a horrible FAR AWAY ASS angle of jiara walking together with their arms around each other on the dock like they could have made Kie ask JJ is he was okay or SOMETHING maybe even Kie saying to not worry about what Luke said to her about her mom etc and have a closer shot of them walking with their arms around each other I’m still salty😩😩 (my fantasy would have been Kie using her thumb to wipe away that tear drop on his face)

You’ve just opened a can of worms because I have a bone to pick with the director of that episode anyway (it’s Darnell for anyone wondering) because she has so many cuts away from things I wanted to see! I’m okay with the silent communication and support because it feels very Jiara, but I would have liked to have seen the hug on the dock. Keep the long shot in because it’s a great shot, but I KNOW she hugged him. A lot of people didn’t even realize his arm was around her at first because it was so far away. And there was also the clip of jj helping her up into the tree that we can’t see at all.

Also to stop holding my silence, she also filmed the part where JJ grabs Kie in front of the truck in 2x08 and that scene has always felt ooc to me and personally I blame the director. I know a lot of people love it for edits but it’s the one scene that felt off to me out of the rest of relative perfection of Jiara S2.
