So I was on pinterest looking at weird stock photos, as you do, and I came across this image and IS THIS NOT SHORTY THURMOND???

He is asked to prep the vegetables for that evening's meal. A burly man with a startling number of teardrop tattoos on his neck sets down a crate full of mushy peppers and still-green beefsteak tomatoes.

"These aren't ripe!" He says.

The man gives him a long look and walks away, and only in that moment is true justice finally served.

it looks like someone had uploaded the app file to the internet archive! which is exciting! but actually playing it? i'm stumped.

touchHLE seems to be a dead end so far- p sure shadow ranch is too recent to run on it. i can add the files but when i try opening the app the program crashes. best I've been able to get is a split second of the opening screen

that's on windows 8.1, couldn't figure out how to run touchHLE at all on windows 11 fucking windows 11 i swear - not that I think it matters, I'm p sure touchHLE just isn't compatible

but ahhh I want to play the thing! let me have the thing!!

normally in nancy drew games I like to do all the things I'm not supposed to and see if I get any fun reactions or second chances, but I just couldn't leave poor Bob all saddled up in the stable. I put that saddle away every single time, just like Tex told me.

I did however, leave the cinch loose on purpose

My controversial opinion is that the vegetable picking puzzle is really not that difficult. It's easy to pick overripe beans, but that doesn't make a difference anyway, and the underripe vegetables are kind of obvious

I'm playing SHA and I just got a super cute piece of dialogue I've never gotten before! Right before the end, you can call the Rawleys and ask if Bet sent Dave out to do an errand the night before. She says no, but Ed says he did but refuses to say why (he keeps saying "You don't want to know, Bet!"). Bet keeps pushing him to say it, but Nancy figures out that he's trying to surprise her with something and gets her to drop it. It turns out her birthday is coming up and he was having Dave pick up a present for her! Idk I just thought it was cute lol
