For Easter, I thought it would be fitting to rate the sea bunny! These little guys are REALLY little, they’re less than an inch long- Since they’re nudibranchs, which by definition have no bones or shells, these squishy little fellas get maximum chunk. Sea bunnies are super recognizable and adorable with their little “ears” and “fur” (both are actually sensory organs), high funk. Nudibranchs are slimy little guys, and sea bunnies in specific are actually super slimy and poisonous, so of course they have maximum gunk.
Overall Rating: 10/10
They’re so cute, like- they’re SO cute- LOOK AT THEMMM!!!
Sorry for disappearing for a while again! Happy Easter (for those who celebrate) and happy pastel bunny day for all those who don’t!
I personally just enjoy Easter for all of the cute pastels and bunnies everywhere haha
i had been wanting to hold off on this one for a while because they're a personal favorite of mine but i needed the cuteness tonight. sea bunnies are... god i don't even know how to describe how adorable i find these things 😵💫
these tiny lil guys only grow up to be 2.5 cms at most and their diet consists mostly of sea sponges :3 these guys are also not just adorable, they're actually pretty dangerous against predators too! like most nudibranches, sea bunnies can steal the toxins and stinging cells of their food sources, making them potentially dangerous to handle for humans and even worse for whoever tries to eat them
tldr these things are literally the best thing this world has created and everyday i wake up so happy that i get to live in the same world as them 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
NUDIBUN (Nudibranch/Bunny) are small gastropod pokemon that inhabit small bodies of water. Similar to SHELLOS in Sinnoh, NUDIBUN has different forms depending on its location, with southern NUDIBUN being white and northern NUDIBUN being yellow, however, unlike SHELLOS, each NUDIBUN has its own evolution
NUDIBUN is based on Sea Bunnies (Jorunna Parva) a type of nudibranch that resembles a bunny
ELVUNISH (Elvish/Buny) is Southern NUDIBUN's evolution. S.NUDIBUN feeds only on live vegetation, and with time it has evolved to absorb the Clorophyl from plants and incorporate it to its own body, becoming part plant itself.
ELVUNISH are one with the flora from their homes, they can communicate with plants and act as their guardians, protecting them from outside forces, they have a large cape made of leaves that they use to camouflage amongs the trees, and they can use this leaves as blades for combat.
ELVUNISH is based on the Leaf Slug (Costasiella Usagi), mixed with an elf warrior and with its design leaning more to the Bunny aspect of the "Sea Bunny" rather than the mollusk
LANCELLUSK (Lancer/Lancelot/Mollusk) is Northern NUDIBUN evolution.
N. NUDIBUN's feed on soil and debree as their habitat doesnt have as much vegetation, but it is very rich in minerals and metals. With time, they have evolved to absorb this metals into their own bodies.
LANCELLUSK has covered its body in complex set of shells that resemble the armor of a knight. They are predators, hunting using their deadly spears that are strong enough to break even the armor of other LANCELLUSKs.
LANCELLUSK is based on the Assassin Snail (Anentome helena) mixed with knight, and with its design leaning more into the mollusk aspect of "Sean Bunnies" rather than the rabbit.
The idea behind ELVUNISH & LANCELLUSK is based on the medieval paintings of both Bunnies and Snails fighting with knights that can be foun on the margins of illuminated manuscripts, this illustration are called Drollery, and this particular theme of illustration is known as 'The world turned upside down" or "Topsy-Turvy"
ELVUNISH & LANCELLUSK are rivals, they dont often find each other, but if they do they will instantly attack each other, this is based on the usual behaviour of humans and elves in fantasy media and this particular illustration of a Rabbit fighting a Snail
Jorunna funebris, also known as the dotted nudibranch, is a species of sea slug's, particularly one of the multiple species known as sea bunnies. It is a gastropod mollusc in the family Discodorididae.
