The Silm Headcanon no. 2:

THE GREAT HOUSE OF OLUE (CAVA OLUE)—This is either Headcanon or Non-canon Lore from The Silm.

This is the family tree char I draw in which one of the few generations of Olwë survived major conflicts even in post-Alqualondë Kinslaying. And I also included the kiddos of Aiaruen (Telerin ver. of Eärwen) and Finarfin in this tree. Then, I followed the second picture especially the rules/legend of this family tree.

Note: I just determined the few Telerin equivalents of their names as much as I can, because I learned a little to familiarized the undeveloped Elvish language.

Ex. Aiaruen = Eärwen, Arfinue = Finarfin, Aiarindile = Eärindil; Aiarlote = Eärlótë, Aiarmīro = Aearmir, Teleprīan(ne) or Telperīan(ne) = Celebrian, Athēolue = Asëolwë, etc.

some maormer headcanons

they weave spells into their sea shanties

the bond between mer and sea serpent is sacred. a bond can be so deep that they feel each other’s emotions and thoughts

there is a sub-race of maormer that’s equivalent to mermaids, but they’re rarely seen since they stay under the ocean

adding on to the maormermaids, they have vast cities deep underwater

they can use conch shells to communicate over long distances

they don’t do well in the heat and will get dehydrated quicker than others

some may resemble/inherit different traits from different sea creatures. like some could have teeth like a shark, hardened skin like a sea turtle’s shell, claws that sting, etc.

gender isn’t a big deal to them. some may identify with the binary genders but a lot of maormer are non-binary or genderfluid

additionally, aquatic themed pronouns are pretty common amongst the maormer!

the way wardens in eso can manipulate vines is an ability maormer have as well, only it’s for ocean plant life such as kelp and sea grass

lots of salty cuisine

they see better underwater than on land

they have webbing on their hands and feet

Elder Scrolls Online | ☆ Making a Maormer ☆ Currently, there are two ways in which you can make a Maormer in Elder Scrolls Online. Sadly, the race is not playable in-game, but there are ways to create your characters to have a Maormer appearance.

🐚 Method I: Dunmer If you want a more blue skin tone colour for your Maormer, then using the Dunmer model is the best option. All you need is to equip the following:

• Arctic Rime Skin (from Dragonscale Crown Crates)

• Oracle Eyes (from Cosmetic Pack: Adornments)

🌊 Method II: Altmer

If you want a more pale skin tone colour for your Maormer, then using the Altmer model is the best option. All you need is to equip the following:

• Vampirism (Ask Players for Vampire bite in Riften, Reapers March or Bangkorai)

• Oracle Eyes (from Cosmetic Pack: Adornments)

I do like the Dungeons and Dragons take on sea elves, because it inverses the “eleven are better”

The sea elves are heavily outmatched by other aquatic races far better adapted to an amphibious existence. Their competition is mostly faster, stronger, and smarter than them/

Their greatest champions are actually members the species of one their greatest enemies who with a rare mutation/curse that makes them physically identical to a sea elf and so they often seek to infiltrate and gain power in sea elf sociteies where they can be a big fish in a small pond

And it feels…right. Take a humanoid form and give it gills and without a bunch of other superpowers, will pale against all theshark people and Lovecraftian ripoffs
