2gether The Series aka Because We Belong Together
Taking back old school for this one to 2020, when we were all in lockdown and consuming content like it was our job. This one came out then and let me tell you it still holds up. I recently rewatched it and remembered why I loved this genre! 2gether has all the the elements of a series that you want! Romance, internal conflict, comedy, all the marks are hit!
Bright and Win really set the standard for chemistry! There are times that I feel like I am truly there with the struggle because they did such an effortless job acting these parts! I mean to spawn a second mini season and a movie, followed by a current concert series shows why this show is truly one of the pillars of the BL genre.
I loved the plot! Of course as a drama fan I love a fake relationship trope, but this one just put a little sprinkle on it because of the deep connection Sarawat had with Tine the whole time. It had just the right amount of episodes at 13 total. I was left wanting more and filled that with the special season!
The soundtrack is FIRE! As an American my exposure to music from other countries is limited to the western hemisphere if I am not watching dramas or anime and that is half the reason I love these shows because I am exposed to music I would never find on my own! SCRUBB is an amazing band. Having both Sarawat and Tine play guitar on the show is a special treat as well!
Clearly the rewatch value is here for me. I like the actors a lot and love them together in this show. This gets a solid 8/10 for me! BrightWin for life!
