5. Kaleel from Buck Rogers of the 25th Century

Jack Palance as a cult leader ....I dont need to say anymore

General Kessler from Tron Uprising

Lance Henriksen is a perfect fit for a Tron villain

Baltar from Battlestar Galctica

I love this compulsive liar and traitor

The Female Changeling from Star Trek Deep Space 9

Havent gotten far into Deep Space Nine but this villain really impressed me with her first appearence

The Master from Doctor Who

Specificallly the Anthony Ainley Master .He was a delight in Logopolis and terrifying in Survival

mostly sci-fi, horror, and coming of age but i watch all kind of movies! i love sci-fi because of the creativity it requires and the ~visuals~, horror bc i love spooky shit and coming of age movies because they make me feel really nostalgic and i watch them and i'm like "oh, me"

I don’t talk about this much, because, well, Mel Gibson…but the first and second Mad Max movies were absolutely formative for me and I honestly think they absolutely hold up as defining sf/fantasy on many levels. I mean yes, I saw them in the era, and yes, Young Mel was MY NUMBER ONE CRUSH (ugh) but I’ve watched them periodically and am never disappointed. Now go watch Flash Gordon and we’ll talk over the top!

Dude, Mel Gibson is absolutely gorgeous in this film, I totally get it and I can see how this would be formative. It’s clearly an important part of the sci-fi/fantasy tradition, I was more commenting on how different it is from mvoies that have come out recently, even movies BASED on this one that have come out recently. It was such a different time!

What may have been scary in 1970, is most likely not going to have a the same affect on millennials who have been flooded with CGI ghosts and a load of overpowered and obscene jump scares. Rules: answer all questions, add one question of your own and tag as many people as there are questions. tagged by @blackcanarydinah (i’m doing in this in an empty classroom right now, because i’m bored. also, don’t hate me fo rnot knowing what some of these are)

1. coke or pepsi: both? but i need to stay off the soda cos i can get in too deep (i blame my paretns for not letting my have soda, so now when i do, i’m an addict)

2. disney or dreamworks: dreamworks: the prince of egypt (i watched that every single day on vcr as a kid, and it’s the only biblical story i know) disney: 90s (little mermaid, beauty and the beast, aladdin) and 2010s (tangled, big hero 6, moana)

3. coffee or tea: hot chocolate and sometimes tea (is it stereotyping myself when i say i like tea cos all brown people are supposed to love tea?)

4. books or movies: if i separate movies from their book counterpart, i can like both, but the movies will never amount to the movie my imagination makes when reading

5. windows or mac: mac, always had windows pcs, but they never last long for me (i thought i was cursed at one point)

6. dc or marvel: both, i can’t choose, dceu is amazing (can’t wait for wonder woman to save 2017), dctv’s cool, and marvel netlfix is awesome, theri mvoies are nice too but i won’t delve into the problematic things (cough cough hydra cap)

7. x-box or playstation: i had an xbox for 3-4 years before i sold it, and my sister and i mainly used it for kinect games, (i’m not much of a video game person, althought he first time i played madden with my brother, i beat him and i hold that over him all the time)

8. dragon age or mass effect: don’t know this

9. night owl or early riser: early riser, i hate it but i’m always up early, even if i can’t help it (i’m cursed with insomnia or sleeping problems)

10. cards or chess: cards?

11. chocolate or vanilla: chocolate

12. vans or converse: converse

13. Lavellan, Trevelyan, Cadash, or Adaar: don’t know

14. fluff or angst: fluff, and angst when i feel like torturing myself

15. beach or forest: the one time i’ll choose the beach (even if i live 10 minutes away fromthe #1 beach in the continental USA)

16. dogs or cats: dogs???

17. clear skies or rain: clear skies (fun face: it was raining this mornign adn i almost wlaked ot class in flats before switching for better shoes)

18. cooking or eating out: i like cooking, and eating out can be pricey

19. spicy food or mild food: despite being brown, i can’t really handle all that spiciness, but i sure can handle it better than most americans do

20. halloween/samhain or solstice/yule/christmas: eid

21. would you rather forever be a little too cold or a little too hot: too cold (i can always take about how i can’t handle the florida heat despite being in flroida for 10 years, even if my genes make me adaptable to tropical weather, but i prefer the cold weather through and through. also, it’s like that tumblr post, if it’s too cold, you can always put on another layer, but if it’s too hot, what am i supposed to do, take off my skin suit?)

22. if you could have a superpower, what would it be: apparate like in harry potter cos then i wouldn’t need to get my driver’s license

23. animation or live action: depends on what i’m watching. (example: avatar:the last airbender the animated series is AMAZING, as for the live action move, WE DON’T TALK ABOUT THE LIVE ACTION MOVIE EVER)

24. paragon or renegade: don’t know what these are

25. baths or showers: baths all the way (next year’s apartment has a bath which i’m totally buying bath bobs for cos treat yo’ self 2017)

37: biggest pet peeve? currently people who stay out of politics or don’t want to be too political (this is me subtlely calling out my current roommate for voting for you-know-who) the only reason you have for not being political in the US right now if you’re fucking surrounded by privilege and politics doesn’t affect you. and me being political isn’t be political, it’s me saying i’m a decent human being and actually doing things that make me a decent human being. I PRACTICE WHAT I PREACH. you can’t call yourself a decent human being and then go and vote for an evil orange devil spawn. and for what? bc your family’s republican,anti-hillary you met the cheeto adn he was nice to you, i’d bet he be nice to me too if i was white like you, but no.
