So, with the new special coming up with Shadybug and Claw Noir, I’ve gotta ask, what are Scarlet Beetle, Ikati Black, Monarch, and Prince Paon’s alternate selves like?
Blood Beetle
Cold, calculated, greedy, and just a little bit flirty with his “Kitten.”
He works out so he’s stronger than his opponents and can easily snap them like twigs
This guy does NOT care about the lives of innocents, as long as he’s got the cash and jewels he stole, then he’s fine
Will not hesitate to put people in danger if it means getting his way, and makes people BEG him on their knees to use his Miracle Cure…
… Only to not use it
And quick thing to remember: Unless you have a death wish, never try to flirt with Ikati Bleak
When he’s not Blood Beetle, Kim is tormenting people at DuPont Dormitory For Wayward Teens for cash and breaking every PDA rule with Max
He was sent to DuPont for attacking just about anyone who looked at him funny
“Kitten~ Steal that gem for me, would you, baby?”
“Ugh! It’s not my fault this light weight can’t take a punch!”
“Come on… Beg me, and maybe I’ll fix your shit city.”
Ikati Bleak
Ikati Bleak is extremely smart and knows how to get in your head. Never trust him
He’s the brains behind every robbery committed by himself and his “Blood Bug.”
He can easily hack into the government and cause all sorts of mass destruction with the push of a button if civilians step out of line
Like Blood Beetle, he doesn’t care about the lives of other people, seeing them as only stepping stones in their path towards total domination
Whatever Blood Beetle desires, he is more than happy to do whatever it takes to make him happy
Enjoys using his cataclysm on famous landmarks and important artifacts
As Max, he’s deceitful, gets a thrill out of using his intellect against others, and uses his tech skills to torment the student body
Max was sent to DuPont for hacking into the grade books and ruining everyone’s GPAs just for the hell of it
“Whatever my Blood Bug wants, he gets.”
“Ruining lives is just no fun when they don’t cry.”
“One little button. That’s all it takes to see your city turn to dust.”
Emperor
One word… Insane
Emperor has no goal other than to cause mass chaos and make all who stand before him kneel at his feet
He turns people into Akumas against their will and uses psychological and/or emotional torture to make them comply
He forces them to steal, cause property damage, and attack a few people he doesn’t like
He only has a soft spot for Prince Pain and will drop everything to just kiss his hand
As Nathaniel, he’s just as unhinged as Emperor. People would say he has a Napoleon Complex, but the last person to say that mysteriously fell down the stairs
Note: Nathaniel hates it when people even imply that he’s inferior
Those at his last school were relieved when the School Tyrant finally left
“Princey, allow me torment this undesirable for you, darling.”
“Aw~ Why so serious? And here I thought we were having so much fun.”
“Oh, I have ways of making you comply, dear.”
Prince Pain
He’s every bit of crazy as Emperor, but braver. He’s jumped off the top of the Eiffel Tower and landed on the back of a winged Senticreature
This guy only has a soft spot for Emperor and his babies
He can’t bear to part with them, so he lets them run around Paris, destroying everything in sight on a weekly basis
He’d never send an Amok after a civilian, becuase then they can turn his Senticreature against him!
He’s got the personality of Evil!Spinel with a bit of Harley Quinn mixed in there, always clapping and laughing when someone gets hurt
He will follow Emperor to the ends of the earth for no reason other than to cause chaos with him
Marc was sent to DuPont because there was no mental facility that would take him
“Hear that, babies? Other daddy is proud of you, my little weapons of mass destruction!”
“Voices in my head say I’m perfectly normal like any other person.”

Drawing Bad AU
This was somehow inspired by the Scarlet Beetle and Ikati Black AU by @artzychic27, specifically with the idea of Nathaniel being the antagonist and Marc being his eventual sidekick. Nathaniel Kurtzberg is a mild-mannered artist making his way through the first year of high school at DuPont. His life takes a turn for the worst when he is diagnosed with lung cancer, right after being rejected by his longtime crush, Marinette Dupain-Cheng. He begins to look for a way to help pay for treatment. He gets invited to watch a raid from Kim and Ivan, his friends who work for the safety patrol at school. They’ve been investigating a candy smuggling unit, which apparently makes a lot of money. While watching them catch some kids selling unauthorized candy to classmates, he recognizes the one who gets away. It’s Marc, a writer from his old elementary school who hung out with Nathaniel before he moved. He follows Marc and gives him an ultimatum. Become his partner in selling candy, and he wouldn’t rat him out to the safety patrol. Marc reluctantly agrees, and the partnership forms. Marc knows how to sell the stuff, and Nathaniel knows how to improve the candy’s quality. They hangout in an abandoned RV, and create “Akuma”. It’s a butterfly shaped hard candy with enough sugar to get the customer addicted to the product. They use the codenames of “Monarch” and “Paon” in order to avoid getting caught. As their candy becomes spread throughout the school, they gain a reputation. This earns them the attention of Nino Lahiffe, the shifty captain of the debate club, who promises to keep them out of trouble as long as he gets a good cut of the money. There’s also Max Kante, a seemingly harmless and kind nerd, hiding a shrewd and calculating mind. He helps to ship out their candy to Parisians. They’ve also got enemies to worry about. Not only Kim, Ivan, and the other kids on the safety patrol, but also Alya Cesaire, a reporter for the school newspaper, hot on their trail and looking to uncover their identities. These candy dealing boyfriends have a lot of trouble to deal with.
It’ll be a miracle if they make it to sophomore year without getting caught and expelled. Nathaniel knows his reputation will be torched if people find out, but that’s just the price he’d be willing to get treatment. Even if it means... breaking bad.

Fanart for @artzychic27 'Miraculous: Tales of Scarlet Beetle & Ikati Black' fic. Character designs are based off the redesigns they originally created.
I would highly recommend this fic if you're a fan of kwami swap, Kimax & Marcnath.
Side characters are given the focus & screentime to be properly developed, OCs are as fleshed out as canon characters, Marinette isn't a stalker, Adrien isn't a doormat, Bustier is an actual reliable adult, serious topics are touched upon without being overly edgy, diversity is properly represented instead of being mere tokenism, and that's only the tip of the iceberg.
100/10, would reread x999 times and smash the kudos button.

Literally created a whole new butterfly/moth themed line just to spite said nightmare.

What is going to happen in Scarlet Beetle Glitch?
It’s descision time for the Ultimate Mecha Strike tournament!
Students who want to compete will go up against the school’s best players, Marinette and Max
No one’s beaten them yet. Adrien came close to winning against Max, but… He lost
And he’s the last one, so no it looks like Marinette and Max will- Oh, shit, Austin B’s here
Not many expect much since Austin B’s never showed an interest in video games, but he ends up beating both of their scores and becomes Max’s partner in the tournament since he beat Marinette’s high score by one point
And Marinette… Takes her loss with grace as best as she can, but then some guys from another class start spewing some misogynistic nonsense about girls sucking at video games, and she crushes a joypad in her hand and storms out of the room
Well, like hell Nathaniel was gonna let those guys get away with saying that bullshit… Oh, and Marinette may be the Akuma to get the Miraculous, so there’s that, too
Glitch has all sorts of video game powers at her disposal… Well, all the ones that Nathaniel could think of, at least
For example, she can summon a barrel and throw it like Donkey Kong, spew fire like Bowser, spin dash like Sonic, and turn people into eyes by biting them like PacMan when she eats a glowing dot
Scarlet Beetle: *His eyes float right back over to a horrified Ikati Black before his entire body reforms* … What the fuck was that?! She just, she bit me, and my eyes- Th-they, oh, God!
Ikati Black: Are you okay?
Scarlet Beetle: I am NOT okay!
Her Akuma form is her in a pink and black version of Chun Li’s outfit with the gold designs looking like circuit board patterns

Ooh can we get the headcanons and details on Felix and Kagami, how they were nice before being freed as sentimonters, and became evil?
Félix Graham De Vanily and Kagami Tsuguri were raised to be the perfect children of two influential families, a shining example to hopefully steer the students of DuPont in the right direction…
Oh, if only people knew
Félix and Kagami are actually Senticreatures created when the Peacock Miraculous was in the hands of their parents
Félix was modeled after Adrien when he was seven and shows… Certain unsettling tendencies. He was created to become a better politician than André and fix the broken city
Kagami was created around the same time as Félix and made the same age to not only follow Tomoe’s legacy, but to take over her tech company and make a few upgrades to DuPont to keep the students and past students still stuck in their own ways in line
When the Peacock Miraculous went missing, Amelie and Tomoe thought nothing of it and assured themselves that they can still keep Félix and Kagami under their control
Félix and Kagami, meanwhile, have always just felt this… This compulsion, but they aren’t sure what it is. All they know is that when they catch glimpses of Blood Beetle and Ikati Bleak in action, they can’t help but smirk
It’s only when Marc finds the Peacock Miraculous on the day he’s shipped to DuPont that he discovers, there are two active Senticreatures somewhere in Paris
And he can’t have that, now
He eventually hunts down their Amoks, easily snatches Amelie’s, pries it from Tomoe’s cold, dead hand, and frees Félix and Kagami
And in turn, they become evil and tear apart their respective homes in fits of rage after being forced to be good for so long
Prince Paon couldn’t be prouder of his children
