Toony! Like the old cartoons; presumably inspired by Bendy and Cuphead (from what I’ve seen, we’ve been mutuals for a while and I’ve seen ya grow), but you have your own spin on it, it’s softer and cuter. Bubbly, if I do say so.
We’ve been mutuals since the old funamu days, yeah xD And thank you! Some people have told me my style is a mixture of rubberhose and soft cartoon-y, I can see it xD

My Review: Another quick read, but a good one! Going into this, I was anticipating density. Something pseudo-academic; much like the watered down textbooks I’ve read on other wildlife. That is not at all what I got. There were facts and figures thrown in, certainly, but there was also incredible flavor, humor, and quality writing. It’s amazing how, in less than 250 pages, Farley Mowat makes you feel like his best friend.
The more somber component woven into this memoir-esque research study is the fact that we humans are pretty awful and we demolish a whole lot of important and sacred stuff (our environment, for instance) just for the hell of it. And in cases such as that of Arctic wolves, we blame innocent creatures for our own malice and destruction, thus conveniently providing ourselves another target.
As a bit of a side note, I can’t help but feel profound sadness at the recent White House (#notmypresident) decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement. This is an awful reflection of our culture’s complete and utter disregard for life. And the most ironic part? We will ultimately kill ourselves for the sake of “business” or “fun” or whatever you want to call poisoning the planet and nailing the carcasses of everything that lives on it to our living room walls.
Blah. Back to business.
Somehow this book isn’t overwhelmingly depressing, despite the underlying message it conveys. Essentially, we meet an eccentric man who studies (and finds himself making friends with) the dreaded Arctic wolf, and who has an excellent sense of humor that manifests beautifully in his writing on the subject. Turns out, wolves aren’t so mean. Nor are they the environmental problem we make them out to be given the fact that they are an essential part of maintaining healthy herds of caribou and such. As usual, it’s humans who are the true plague on this Earth.
All in all, a great little book.
