Sacsahuamán

Le complexe forteresse-temple du Sacsahuamán (également Saksaywaman ou Saqsawaman, ce qui signifie "Aigle royal") se trouve à la limite nord de l'ancienne capitale inca, Cuzco. Construit sous le règne de Pachacútec (r. de 1438 à 1471) et de ses successeurs, ses immenses murs bien construits restent aujourd'hui un témoignage non seulement de la puissance inca, mais aussi des compétences des architectes incas et de leur approche consistant à intégrer harmonieusement leurs structures monumentales dans le paysage naturel. Le Sacsahuamán est encore utilisé aujourd'hui pour des reconstitutions de cérémonies d'inspiration inca.

El complejo fortaleza-templo de Sacsayhuamán (también Saksaywaman o Saqsawaman, que significa "águila real") se encuentra en el extremo norte de la antigua capital inca de Cuzco. Construido durante el reinado de Pachacútec (1438-1471) y sus sucesores, sus murallas enormes y bien construidas hoy en día siguen siendo un testimonio no solo del poderío inca, sino también de las habilidades de los arquitectos incas y de su enfoque para integrar las estructuras monumentales en el paisaje natural de forma armoniosa. El Sacsayhuamán se sigue utilizando hoy en día para la recreación de ceremonias de inspiración inca.
