The face is an abstract representation, made up of overlapping and intertwining lines and spots of black ink. There is nothing realistic about this image, there are only shapes that vaguely suggest facial features.

The lines are fast and biting, made with a decisive and spontaneous gesture. They are sometimes interrupted or blurred, creating a sense of dynamism and movement.

There is no precise order in these shapes, they emerge from my instinct, trying to capture the essence of the face in a fresh and immediate way. The result is a vibrant and powerful image that evokes emotions and sensations without the need for precise detail.

Ultimately, this abstract face invites the viewer to let go of instinct and the sign, to explore the beauty of immediacy and spontaneity.

« Ramón, the garden keeper » Sketches of Spain, pencil on paper, 14.8x21 cm I was watching the garden keeper responsible for the upkeep of a large, private garden near the centre of Salou town in Spain. But as a couple of weeks passed by, one thing was bothering me. The garden keeper couldn't stop cutting grass. It inspired me to this plot and I decided to call the garden keeper Ramon ,and to draw him, my way. In his sleepless nights, Ramón sees visions of the garden so green and perfect, the grass cut to perfection by his hands. He can't stop imagining how great it would be if he was already at work. Every Sunday morning, when everyone else is still sleeping, Ramón starts cutting grass. This drawing is about perfectionism, first as a good thing and as it can help us to achieve success. Yet, it can also prevent us from taking risks and make us feel guilty of not doing enough. Ultimately, Ramon lives fearing failure, and that fear prevents him from trying new things. 𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧… Six months ago I embarked in the idea of being a part of an art show that made sense for me. @theotherartfair is a place for artists, not for show off, not for competition, not for only collectors or fancy shmancy. It’s a place for art lovers, and people who believe in us artists as innovators, mind set changers and believers of pure magic. It’s a place to dream big, to show yourself as who you are and not have someone else say or make you who you are to please others. It made sense! I applied and got accepted from over 300 artists that applied. Then won the spot to represent the fair with the @hoxtonhotel family in my neighborhood of williamsburg!!! Set out to understand my art as an entity, as my career for a living, as the place where I want to be. I opened my company, open my business account and started in the venture of understanding organization, strategy and lots of LOVE for myself and who I came to this world to be. I want people to have my work on their walls, to smile when they see it, to wake up and contemplate it in their space. I want to live off what I most love. Being an artist or anything you do in life isn’t easy, but if you love it… it’s a blast! And that is the best job ever! Years ago, when I was living in southern California, I was commissioned to paint a large canvas for the office of an executive of a corporation. This man, I soon learned, was wrestling with a troubled soul. He was suffering the after-effects of a divorce from his wife of many years and estrangement from their two young daughters. Worse, he was being constantly tormented by threats of legal action from the cause of that divorce, his male ex-lover.

Usually, those who commission paintings for offices expect a work that is primarily decorative, like the kind of work you encounter in the lobbies of their corporation headquarters. In this man’s case, I felt he deserved something deeper. So I decided to paint a vision that was so far above his troubles that he could perhaps be free of them, if only for the moments he was able to quietly contemplate the painting.

Meanwhile, if you have time for only the abbreviated version, here it is: The executive was thrilled to the point of tears by my vision above the clouds, with the Pacific ocean on the left and the Mojave desert on the right, with clouds obscuring miles of landscape in between. I spoke with him briefly a few weeks after the painting was installed in his office. The news was not good. He had been fired, he told me. As for the painting, “I really miss it, but it belongs to the company. It put me next to heaven and now I can never see it again.”
