top, left to right: tucker attacking temple (technically not non-canon but meant to be interpreted in the context of the evocation au), caboose consoling tucker as they grieve church (unspecified time period. they're always sad over it so it doesn't have to be recent--based on length of caboose's cheek fluff, it's implied to be much later), caboose looking at washington expectantly (with the context of s11 in mind)

middle, left to right: carolina outbursting at tucker in a disappointed rage over killing temple (evocation au), epsilon/church (the pose was just fun to draw lol. lyrics from dark red), donut (with the context of s16-17 in mind)

bottom, left to right: sarge (just sarging. vaguely thought of s8 when he does the codeword bit but not explicitly what i drew), dylan and sister (very specifically the scene from s15 in mind), flowers and vic (from s14), grimmons, and autism creature caboose

notes:

he gives his physical bandana to caboose before sacrificing himself in the s6 finale, but still appears with one as a hologram. it's the equivalent to his hoodie on his human design (unreleased). additionally, the reasoning for it is a headcanon - since caboose stuck around him so frequently, he wore it to help caboose remember they were blue team better and then it kind of just grew on him, so he kept it around after caboose was familiar with blue team.

on epsilon, the wing is typically on the right. it can alternate but would mainly only do this for "making drawings look better" purposes.

the ears are pointed/bent upward, meant to resemble "horns" in a way. like church being angry all the time being associated with looking like the imp emoji or something. it's silly.

epsilon can have two wings at once (for epic art purposes) but the second wing is very glitched out in that case (potential ref could be added with that?).

no collar outside of physical form (yeah the collar represents their armor but i think it looks better without it).

@rvbcatified is doing the Lord’s work and making cat versions of our good good space men, and as someone who has also drawn RvB cats and hosted a whole dang MAP about them, I couldn’t be happier. Your designs are so!! Good and aesthetic I love them!! And I couldn’t resist drawing my garbage boy Temple, so there he is in all his edgy glory.

I also threw in my Temple vs. their Temple just for fun. Whaaa cats

finally back on my grindset for a little bit between college! i wasnt going to give caboose a redesign at first, but once i decided he needed more white in his face and big fangs it was all over.

anyways! to answer your question: i come up with designs mostly just through imagining kittycats while i listen to/watch rvb. a lot of it is through vibe, but usually colors will unintentionally source from their armor color or the color i hc their hair to be. most finer details and better marking placements are banged out as i try to fill empty space and balance the designs. breeds usually involve a mix of vibe and what cat breeds have similar coloration and/or markings to the finished design. i also look for breeds thatll explain traits that i'd like to carry over from human to kitty (such as caboose's big size being a maine coon trait, sarge's mustache being a persian trait, simmons being an abyssinian bc of their jumpy/hyperactive nature, etc). i honestly have been waiting for someone to ask me about this, so im happy to finally be able to explain my process!!

this ask is literally old as time but i've wanted to design her for a while and finally felt like it, so here!

it was fun designing her alongside grif! a lot of her markings are just a bit different :)

Do you have any specific in universe headcannons for the sake of them being. Yknow. Cats? How do any of the battles work? Is it warrior cats style where they just beat the crap out of each other? Or is there cool cat guns. Cats should have guns and tanks i think it would be cool

so you will be surprised to know that in the 3 years i've run this blog i've never had a good definitive answer for this warrior cats style DEFINITELY can be a part of it, especially during fights such as the infamous "tex beats the shit out of everyone" fight and other more desperate fights/fights where weapons arent as easily available. there's also weapons compatible with cats' paws (as they have opposable thumbs in this for obvious reasons) and sometimes mouths. this is the case with tucker's sword, all knives, and some gun models. other gun models attach to the side of the collar. im not sure how exactly they're fired- maybe having some sort of mechanism in the collar or even being compatible with ai ports.
