actually??? if i made a motorcity tf au it would be REAL EASY since all the burner cars have animal themes - everyone’s except chuck’s at least, which can be worked with!

so they’d all be beastformers!!! and possibly junkions!!! and they’d all breathe fire, hence “burners”

Mike - Mutt - a wolfdog, real versatile and territorial, super protective of her own kind, etc... found Mike badly injured after he quit Kane’s cadet corps in the rubble of the demolished apartment block and brought him to Jacob for emergency treatment.

Chuck - Blonde Thunder - a bird (like the thunderbird) with a jaunty gold “blonde” crest, really flighty and scarce, prefers to remain in root mode and do code projects back at HQ, they’re overtalkative to a fault but keep their own secrets hidden too well; was in an “egglike” stasis pod for the first few episodes so they’ve got some catching up to do.

Julie - 9 Lives - a real nasty big cat, very moody, aloof, the complete opposite of his driver’s persona, both of them had a hard time bonding due to the fact that he was a duoformer but lost his twin during the war, but now they’re completely inseperable; uses multiple holoforms to knock things off of shelves and sit on things they shouldn’t sit on (y’know. like a cat.)

Dutch - Whiptail - a scorpion, doesn’t or can’t speak earth english so Dutch has installed a translator like Bumblebee’s radio speech and has learned simplified cybertronian to communicate in his free time; easily the most curious of the bunch, has far less phobias than ROTH, and often ends up frustratingly tangled in odd places but makes up for it by cracking a joke or referencing a relevant meme.

Texas - Stronghorn - literally a rhinoshark - a sort of creature that doesn’t really translate from cybertron taxonomy to Earth, the largest of the cybertronians in Motorcity, would honestly rather read Shakespeare or play the cybertronian equivalent of Chess because he was in service of the Decepticons for a lot of the war and finally escaped from their captivity, but Texas helped him grow back into his own strength again

Jacob - Sasquatch - not a beastformer or a junkion, but sadly a victim of empurata who has been working with Jacob to see if there’s ways to restore his face and hands with Earth technology during their free time; doesn’t like to be out of vehicle mode much, tries to make human food but umm humans can’t eat motor oil and rustcakes sweetie it’s okay :/

Abraham Kane secretly has a number of cybertronians in his possession, which he has dissected for the advanced scientific knowledge that allowed him to create Detroit Deluxe. Both the Burners and their Cybertronian team know this, and are trying to find out if anyone is still ALIVE. That’s difficult because the giant barrier that is the foundation of Deluxe is specifically built to contain and block any Cybertronian comm and homing signal. He is in league with multiple baddies on all sides including Autobots, Decepticons, and more and he has just as sinister an agenda as they do.
