Kyiv this morning (January the 2nd) was mass shelled by russia with drones and ballistic missiles. I spent all the morning in a storage room that serves as a shelter in my house. Some of the missiles were flying over my head to Kyiv. My friends are saying it was really loud and in some cases debris fell not so far from their homes. There are injured people.

Kharkiv also were under a brutal attack, there are injured and dead.

Happy New Year from a fucking russia.

Ukrainian Hero

Kane Te Kai, the volunteer soldier from New Zealand who went viral a few weeks ago when a video was released of him saving a Ukrainian friend held captive by the Russians, was buried in Auckland today.

Kane was killed in battle against the Russian Army on March 20th.

Rest in peace Kane. Ukraine will never forget you’re sacrifice!

If you support the deaths of *any* civillians, no matter who they are or who you are, you're a horrible person. That's the end all and be all. The amount of celebrating the deaths of innocnents I've seen since the Ukraine war started has been disgusting itself, but its reached new levels now that the occupation of Gaza is happening.

This morning 3 russian missiles hit the center of Chernihiv, one of the oldest cities in Ukraine and Europe. At least 11 people were killed and 22 injured, the rescue mission is still going, so the numbers will rise.

Communism was SO MUCH worse, it was literally the worst that any russian neighbor had experienced. Communism did unite people - but only against itself. Isn't it ironic, how people call nazi literally any country next to russia, but not russia itself?

The tone-deaf International Olympic Committee (IOC) is considering letting Russians participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Russia was banned from the World Cup and deserves the same treatment for the Olympics.

If the IOC refuses to change its stand, the French government should hint that it would refuse entry to Russian athletes next year for the games.

Russia, Belarus, North Korea, and Iran can hold their own totalitarian games elsewhere if they wish.

The IOC has had fascism issues dating back to the 1930s.

Who can forget the Hitler Olympics?

Juan Antonio Samaranch was head of the IOC from 1980 to 2001. But before that he was a loyal follower of Spain’s fascist dictator Francisco Franco. He even served as Franco’s Minister of Sports from 1967 to 1971. As late as 1974 he could be seen in public giving fascist salutes.

^^^ Samaranch had the most Hitlerian style in that crowd. Some of the other people there were more flaccid and even more kept their hands down totally. It’s not like he was obliged to do that.

The IOC needs to make a clean break with its fashie past. It can start by not caving to Putin.
