making my school art projects durarara related again this time it's kasuka and ruri at an aquarium (assignment was "under-sea creatures with some evidence of perspective")

I will probably invest in better/different paints (maybe gouache?) because watercolors especially these cheap ones were not made for fine detail on faces and such (in this case kasuka's eyes 😐 i could not get them right)

What CAN'T Ruri Hijiribe do? Extremely successful idol. Can sing and dance and has charisma enough to be very popular. Bagged the hottest actor as a boyfriend. Talented practical effect/prosthetics artist to the point eventually SHE is the one making the practical effects and costumes for said boyfriend's newest movie. Can and will murder grown-ass people barehanded twelve different ways. Truly a queen of all trades.

Finished DRRR vol 4

My opinion of Kasuka and Ruri has risen, although only a bit. In the anime I found them boring to the point of annoying, and there are still some things about them that bug me. It's just quite hard to believe that they could be such famous and popular actors when they're so flat from what we see in the story. But, I do feel like I appreciated a little bit more where Narita is trying to go with them. I'll just have to see if they get any better from here.

Celty and Shinra definitely got a lot fluffier here, but honestly, I feel like that's earned. While the anime definitely suggested this, it's much more clear here just how much Shinra has helped Celty grow. I'm sure I've said this before and I'm sure I'll say it again but these books really make it a lot harder to try to argue that their relationship isn't healthy, despite the iffier elements. But hey again, that's Narita for you.

The one major complaint I did have of this one is that a lot of things were told out of order and that just got confusing. I get why this was done but it really was hard to follow here.
