Ask Game

in the trenches of snow forts, amidst a war of a snow fight! who will win?

It wasn't exactly a fair battle.

Galin had mastery over the ice and snow, while Decord could only make his water colder. The interstice growled when snow fell from above him, raining over him despite his total cover behind a snowbank.

"That's cheating, red!" The man yelled, shaking the snow from his silvery locks. He could only hear their giggling nearby, positive they only suggested this to humiliate him.

Decord lifted himself up, looking over the bank of snow to try and survey where Galin might be hiding- "Bah!" Decord made a face as the snow melted down his face. Galin's red hair stood out against the white snow and he was quick to throw the snowball with force at them.

The younger agent didn't really have time to duck, gasping as the snow hit them square in the face too. Galin fell on their ass from the force and Decord was quick to take advantage, throwing another snowball at them.

Galin shook their hair, pouting as they lifted their hand and closed their fist. More snow fell from an invisible cloud above Decord, burying him slightly. Galin fell onto their back in the snow, positive they'd won, a big grin across their brown lips.

They closed their eyes, breathing in the crisp winter air. They didn't have time to register the footsteps until it was too late, a massive ball of snow breaking over their head and torso.

Thoughts on colors and structures

Some Drakenier meta thoughts again. 

I made this so I don’t have to write an essay, hope it’s self-explanatory enough. 2 of the same type + 1 of the different gender basically. Red Boy N2 is from stage plays. I put Tokyo Tower for triangle because N2 is red and they have their own triangular tower. Bottom part is Song of the Ancients mural.

Black and White are at conflict and Red derives from that relationship. I used to think the three form a cycle but I think this representation is a bit more accurate. N2 facilitates / watches like the mastermind they are, but doesn’t directly participate.

From my interpretation in Drakenier context,  Red Triangle = aggressive maniacal insanity, White Orb = peaceful spiritual formless whole, Black Cube = structured regulation + restrictions. Dazai Osamu illustrates this dynamic pretty well imo:

Also, looking at this, Rubrum may have Watchers connections? Those red circular rings with angelic script + 3 eyes on the mural do resemble her filigree design to some extent. Actually, circles of angelic script = Grostequerie Queen’s song? Rubrum’s open mouth = Intoner screaming/singing? She was laughing in that cutscene too. Makes me wonder if Rubrum’s a Manah/N2 type character where she’s happy to watch Weiss and Noir fight.

Digimon Frontier Rewrite: Episode Forty-Nine

Episode Forty-Nine

Rhihimon, Ceruleamon, and Aethermon all charge into battle against Leopardmon. Nyaromon stands back, hiding from the carnage. Since nobody lives on Rubrum, there is no need to evacuate, and Nyaromon stays with the graves of the Legendary Warriors.

Now that Leopardmon is alone, he is far less challenging than he was the first time around, and the Warriors begin to give him a run for his money right off the bat. He refuses to give in though and uses whatever tactics he believes will aid his victory.

During the fight, Aethermon proves to be the largest challenge for Leopardmon, using her regular unpredictability against him. She does significant damage to him, though despite this, Leopardmon still manages to get in a few hits on the other two members of the group, weakening them but not taking them out of the fight permanently just yet.

After many blows are exchanged, Leopardmon manages to wipe out Ceruleamon and Rhihimon. On the way down, Ceruleamon hits Nyaromon, and the two Legendary Warriors revert back to their regular human forms, leaving only Aethermon in the fight.

Koichi grows suspicious once again, realizing that the Fractal Code of Hinoka and Nyaromon has appeared while he has no outward injuries and seems fine. He begins to wonder further if there is something odd about him in comparison to the other Warriors.

Aethermon doesn’t give up despite being the only one left, and she manages to get the last blow in on Leopardmon. Aethermon triumphantly scans his data, but the remainder of his code flies back to the Digital World rather than shooting away to the Village of Beginnings. Aethermon wonders what this could mean upon transforming back.

Mayumi approaches Hinoka and Nyaromon, trying to make sure that they are alright. Koichi watches on, dumbstruck and confused about what sets him apart from the rest of the group. A faint outline appears from behind him, and he runs off to see what it is.

Koichi finds himself face to face with the Legendary Warrior of Darkness from the original battle against Lucemon. The spirit of AncientSphinxmon claims he has an important message to relay to his human incarnation but he has little time to speak.

AncientSphinxmon tells Koichi that his spirit has been severed from his body. He has no physical form in the Digital World to hurt, meaning he has no Fractal Code, only loose data that was never properly translated. AncientSphinxmon says that this is also how Duskmon was able to come into existence since a lone soul is easier to manipulate than the soul along with the body it is connected to. It’s also why Duskmon is the only one of the Legendary Warriors to have been corrupted by the power of Cherubimon’s viruses.

Koichi asks what happened to his regular body, and AncientSphinxmon admits that he is unsure, just that something made the connection between the spiritual and physical break. Koichi admits that he did not come via Trailmon nor did he have a D-Tector, and he wonders if he even has a physical form back on Earth to return to after the quest.

AncientSphinxmon disappears, but not before creating a portal for the rest of the group to utilize. Mayumi appears with a weakened but recovered Hinoka and Nyaromon, and the quartet goes through the portal, but Koichi is clearly distant and nervous about what he learned from AncientSphinxmon, though he doesn’t speak a word of his anxieties to the other Legendary Warriors in an attempt to not burden them too much with his worry.

⚔️ *:･ﾟ✧┆HEADCANON : WATCHMEN OF FATE

       I haven’t written a headcanon in a HOT MINUTE, so here is one I’ve been COOKING UP for a while. Yozora’s ascension as the GOD of death and reincarnation was ORCHESTRATED by spectres known as the WATCHMEN OF FATE. Inspired by the new thematic motifs introduced by Nomura in the FF.7 REMAKE, I’ve decided to incorporate the WATCHMEN in Yozora’s meta. This post explains their ORIGINS, APPEARANCE, and OCCURRENCES in both Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy-- and how they consequently LINK to the Verum Rex meta I’ve written SO FAR. 

       ONE.  ┆ APPEARANCE & ABILITIES

The watchmen often manifest in dark, phantasmic forms: resembling the GRIM REAPERS of mortal folklore. They are hooded creatures, sometimes bearing cadaverous bodies, or being entirely amorphous. They occupy the spiritual realm, only visible to some on the physical realm. Whilst they do not speak, their mere presence sparks an air of foreboding, and serves as an OMEN of oncoming death.  

       TWO.  ┆ ORIGINS & MOTIVES

The feeling of someone “meeting their fate” is due to the actions of the watchmen, who serve as both spectators and “auditors” in the upkeep of the universe. Some maintain the BALANCE of the universe, ensuring that those who are worthy are rewarded, and those who have wronged are punished. Others are “tricksters” by nature, and purposely MANIPULATE the fate of certain beings to alter the wider course of destiny. The watchmen do not side with good nor evil, indiscriminate in their acts upon mankind.  

       THREE.  ┆ WATCHMEN OF FATE : FINAL FANTASY 7 

We get a deeper insight into the role of the WATCHMEN through the various FF7 remake trailers. Interestingly enough, the watchmen do not appear solely around Aerith (whose fate, as we know, is to die by Sephiroth’s blade). However, they are also present in another scene with Tifa and Cloud... Implying that the watchmen are following Cloud instead. 

We can see from THIS GIF that after touching Cloud’s hand, Aerith can see the watchmen-- she looks up in awe immediately after grabbing him. Like Cloud, only certain mortals-- those with a strong hold of their karma-- possess the ability to see the agents of fate in the physical realm. More on this later in the post. 

      FOUR.  ┆ THE LICH : KINGDOM HEARTS 3

Like the spectral beings debuted in the FF7 remake trailer, the LICH at the end of KH3 can be seen as another watchmen of fate. The name ‘lich’ is incredibly specific, and was used intentionally (as opposed to a simple ‘Heartless’). The definition of a lich is as follows:

“ Often such a creature is the result of a transformation, as a powerful magician skilled in necromancy or a KING striving for ETERNAL LIFE using spells or rituals to bind his intellect and soul to his "phylactery" and thereby achieving a form of IMMORTALITY. Liches are depicted as being clearly cadaverous, bodies desiccated or completely skeletal. Liches are often depicted as holding power over hordes of lesser undead creatures, using them as soldiers and servants. Unlike zombies, which are often depicted as mindless, a lich is SAPIENT, retaining independent thought and is as intelligent as it was prior to its TRANSFORMATION. “

As stated by YMX, the Lich exists "to usher hearts down into the depths of darkness" - aka DEATH. It purposely coaxes Sora to delve further into the sleeping worlds, leading him to his DEMISE.  

       FIVE.  ┆ FATE MEETS TRUTH : VERUM REX 

Whilst sharing similar goals, Yozora was not BORN a watchman of fate. He was a victim of the watchmen HIMSELF, once antagonising fate as he RESISTED his ascension to become king of humanity. But later, upon discovering the DISORDER wrought upon the universe, Yozora accepts his CROWN and new role as king of the UNDERWORLD -- and later, the god of death. 

He becomes the LICH we see near the end of KH3: imprisoning the HEARTS of the friends who had indeed PASSED AWAY: only for Sora to abuse the POWER OF WAKING to resurrect them. Yozora takes the form of the LICH when he is sleeping: his SOUL manifests into a NIGHT TERROR which fates the guilty to a permanent sleep. Those with a strong KARMA, like Sora and Cloud, are able to see the WATCHMEN and Yozora in his LICH FORM.  ( EDIT April 23rd: thinking of reworking this to make the Lich an avatar of the larger force of Fate, similar to the Whisper Rubrum / Croceo / Viridi attached to the Whisper Harbinger in FF7R. To edit this post later. )

Yozora now walks alongside the watchmen-- not against them. He is responsible for afflicting CONSEQUENCE upon departed souls: forcing them to serve PUNISHMENT for their transgressions in their recent life, and MOVING their souls onto the next life. The WATCHMEN lead the dead to Yozora, for him to enact DIVINE RETRIBUTION. Indeed, despite succumbing to his own FATE, Yozora still despises the CONCEPT of it. He much rather be in control of HIMSELF and others, than to allow higher powers to determine his FUTURE. 

v; WORLD OF BALANCE.

GEN. SUMMARY: Dissidia-esque. Time passes and both the world of rest and world B are no longer in conflict, merge and become one fleshed out world for itself where war and eternal conflict expire. The world is at peace, civilization becomes a thing. The world is ruled over by Spiritus and Materia, who’re resting unless trouble happens to rise again.

Thanks to the fact that the cycle lives have expired, the warriors of both Cosmos and Chaos are no longer required to be summoned here, however their crystals are scattered around this world and can be summoned under the condition that the bearer of their crystal believes they do exist. Their stories and tales are night time stories, story books, myths, they’re both legends/heroes and fabrications/not real to the people in this world.

Making of Homeopathic Triturations

In homeopathy, a trituration is a solution in lactose of a substance that is not water-soluble.
