Psst, you there! Are you a fan of Repo! the Genetic Opera? Or, perhaps, The Devil's Carnival? Are you looking for a place to be able to discuss these horrible wonderful films? A place to testify, or mark it up, or chase the morning, or steal/rob graves? Good news!

The Genetic Opera is an 18+ Discord server for fans of Repo! the Genetic Opera and both The Devil's Carnival films.

It is run by myself, @captainspaulding , and @otisbdriftwood - aka, @thegeneticopera (so you can expect a lot of behind the scenes talk)!

We have a verification system (all you need is your age and any sort of social media, which only the mods will see!), art channels, bots, movie-specific sections, and more.

Please remember this server is 18+ due to the nature of these films. Anyone underage will be kicked, so please just wait until you're old enough to buy a ticket! R!TGO and TDC both have very sensitive and dark subject matters, all of which are fine to be discussed here. There is no blacklist. If you are sensitive to these materials, or don't wish to discuss the darker aspects of the canon lore, this server is likely not a good fit for you.

Two random Repo! The Genetic Opera headcanons I have

So y'all know the barcodes on the organs, right?

What if, once you get an organ replacement, they tattoo a barcode right next to your surgery scar or where it would be if you get it covered up (if I can remember correctly, in the universe, you can get scars covered up. I'm just now starting to rewatch the movie, cut me some slack) this is how the Repo men identify their victims without the use of an image on a patient paper and the victim's face if not possible or a name

In my personal headcanon, and first iterations of posdible Canon from "The Necromerchant's Debt", Graverobber had his heart replaced due to a lethal heart condition and therefore, got the barcode. He's very ashamed of it, especially because he's still trying to pay off his debts, so covers it up with makeup along with the scar he couldn't cover up

And another one relating to these barcodes. Geneco see themselves as owning the Repo men, like henchmen to do their work, therefore, they barcode them and have them in a sort of system that'll send out what they need to do n shit (I'm bullshitting at this point don't look at me weird I'm tired). Repo men can choose to have this barcode on their chest or back as to not reveal who they are for wearing something like a tanktop (I don't think swimming shirtless on in a bikini would be a problem bc I dont think there's too many clean bodies of water for them to swim in besides the Largos)

Nathan had his on his chest, and would hate looking at it as it reminded him of the monster he had become.
