Plant of the Day
Saturday 4 February 2023
In the Cactus House of Inverness Botanic Gardens are some beautiful specimens of Agave victoriae-reginae (royal agave, Queen Victoria century plant). This evergreen perennial forms a rosette of spine-tipped leaves. Each of these have attractive white markings which are impressions made by leaves on one another as they develop.

txt taking care of their sick s/o
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
# — pairing: Bf!txt x you
# — genre: fluff only fluff
# — warnings: being sick (but taken care of)
Tumblr media
This was requested with such a sweet message, thank you again for your kind words, i really appreciate it <3 i hope you like this!! I wrote the reverse situation some time ago and you can find it here if interested! Now have fun <3
Tumblr media
Soobin — Very gentle care, gentle foreheadkisses, gentle knocking at the door for check ups, gentle scents from teas and soups, him literally suffering with you when you have to take a bitter medicine. You‘re always his priority but when sick !! You‘re his first number one priority. Comes to bring you food to the bed and sits next to you with his plate so you (and he) dont have to eat alone <3
Yeonjun — He‘s definitely the type of bf to take a whole day off/ work from home so he can take care of you. He cooks comfort meals (tries it at least), makes tea, probably and very possibly babies you to no end. He has to!! Its his royal duty to live out his inner unlicensed nurse to the fullest. If he can‘t take a day off, he will make sure to have his phone close and notifications on so he can be of help if you need any.
Beomgyu — Violent care. He is ADAMANT to get you back up on your feet asap. Sometimes, when he thinks you‘re asleep you can hear him cuss out whatever sickness got to you, just quietly under his breath. If you want to he will get his guitar and play a bit for you and he will put honey into your tea for your throat (if you‘re vegan read: agave syrup). He cares a lot, he hopes you can see that even if his attempts may be a bit clumsy sometimes. Beomgyu is a good boy(friend)
Taehyun — He has a medicine cabinet and a brain, he will know a way how to ease any pains and discomforts you might be feeling. And if he can‘t, then he will try his best to help you through it. There‘s cuddles, theres cute little notes when you wake up, there‘s carefully helping you get dressed or put your hair into a protective hairstyle (if needed) so you can lay comfortably.
Hueningkai — He (and others…🧸) probably calls his mum for tips first and then resorts to bringing comfort through teas and quality time. If you don‘t like tea, syrup. Cola. Whatever he can find. He insists on spending time with you because thats what gets him fit the fastest: cuddling (scientifically approved). He will of course offer you every single one of his plushies for mental support and makes sure your waterbottle is always filled up when he has to leave and there are snacks (probably poprocks and gummy worms but hey he tried) available for you

Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead: When his beloved beagle is destroyed after a rabid rampage, CB is plunged into such a depression that a literal raincloud starts to follow him around. Suddenly introspective, he is no longer satisfied with his high school status as a good-looking bully. Writing to a childhood pen pal who has never written back, CB describes his daily interactions with his community: his angst-ridden sister, aggressive Matt, mean girls Marcy and Tricia, and stoned philosopher Van. When he unexpectedly connects with Beethoven, a childhood friend, CB thinks he’s found both a relationship and a means to rebel against his predictable, doormat persona… but he may have to lose everything to gain peace of mind.
The Bacchae: The tragedy is based on the Greek myth of King Pentheus of Thebes and his mother Agave, and their punishment by the god Dionysus (who is Pentheus's cousin). The god Dionysus appears at the beginning of the play and proclaims that he has arrived in Thebes to avenge the slander, which has been repeated by his aunts, that he is not the son of Zeus. In response, he intends to introduce Dionysian rites into the city, and he intends to demonstrate to the king, Pentheus, and to Thebes that he was indeed born a god.
Propaganda under the cut!
Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead:
i just think it would be really funny if it were in this tournament
The Bacchae:
the og play for boys with mommy issues sorry..... but also we've got cross-dressing & repression & discovery of sexuality, we've got divine madness, we've got the child paying for the sins of his parents...... what more could you WANT!!! and yes i know everyone recommends anne carson but they're right about it her version is so so good

How about that forecast, Site-φ! In honor of what’s probably going to be the last blizzard of the spring (don’t hold me to that, I’m no meteorologist! :D) Site Security will be hosting a bonfire at the campground the evening of March 28th. Come get cozy before the storm hits! BYOTTB (Bring Your Own Things* To Burn). *Adhering to all regulations re: flammable substances and safe use of the communal campground, found under Hazardous Materials (Reg. F-451) and Outdoor Recreation (Regs. C-10 through -14) in the Personnel Handbook.

Following several hospitalizations linked to the most recent serving of Frankie’s Famous Fish last month, all waivers have been destroyed and future shipments of “fish” scratched from the order. Anyone who sees or smells “fish” should report this to Site Security. Site Administration would like to stress and remind personnel not to try Frankie’s Famous Fish at the cafeteria; do not believe the rumors the dish gives you powers if you survive. If anyone has seen Frankie, inform him that the HR Department and Director Osterholz desires a meeting. Immediately.

The Security Department will continue to offer self-defense and weapons handling classes. Additionally, Op. 𝐷𝑌𝐼𝑁𝐺 𝐵𝑅𝐸𝐸𝐷 has been ordered to conduct combat readiness assessments on all members of MTF Chi-00. When asked for comment, he replied: “That so?” and stated that they should “Be on time.” Requests for elaboration were met with a smile, precisely one nod, and what may have been a laugh. Additional, remedial seminars can be arranged with Captain Kato in advance of your assessment.

Lab spaces may still be booked through the Head of Research at Site-φ. Please let them know what you intend to research, and be advised that lab space is in slightly shorter than usual supply due to “a Newt-related incident.” Newt, who is a good dog, does not understand what this could be referring to. Neither does anyone else who was in the lab at the alleged time of the incident. Head of research insists that Newt “knows what he did.”
SUBMIT A REQUEST! →
📍 players are welcome to request a lab space for their researchers by contacting rp mgmt. please note that requesting a space as a themis member would immediately jump the line of the other scientists at the site. some themis researchers, depending on their prestige, may be given a full team of lab assistants to aid in their noble pursuit to secure, contain, and protect.

The Walking Club, a group of highly-intelligent pack of dogs, is looking for new members! remember — DON’T WALK ALONE. That is a formal directive, not a request. Joining the Walking Club is especially critical given the WEATHER WARNING soon to be in effect; any personnel who need to move between site buildings while the WARNING is active must contact the Walking Club. The correct way to contact the Walking Club is to step through the nearest door, close it behind you,* and whistle as loud as possible. If you are not a good whistler, that is okay! There is no such thing as a bad whistle if you put your heart into it! The Walking Club will still hear you and arrive shortly. *If Newt has chosen you as his walking buddy, you are advised to brace yourself against the door before whistling, to prevent injury.

by DIRECTOR B. Osterholz
Good evening. It has been brought to my attention that our new additions here at Site-φ may be in need of a reminder as to the appropriateness of fraternization among personnel at this highly clandestine installation. To reiterate what was stated during onboarding and in the welcome brochure: “making eyes,” “canoodling,” and/or “partaking in the horizontal tango” with fellow staff members is not allowed at Site-φ. As you all know, the nature of our work demands absolute dedication and focus. Surely any rumors of anyone engaging in such acts on-site are, indeed, no more than crass rumors to razz the newcomers.

Madam is so overexposed I know more about her cooking/dietary habits than I could ever want to by u/Training-Jello7600
Madam is so overexposed I know more about her cooking/dietary habits than I could ever want to Wannabe foodie Meghan is my favorite of all her eras. It was right before Harry; she was desperately looking for her third (fourth? fifth?) act and sleeping her way into the Toronto food scene and writing some of the most godawful prose ever committed to page on that blog. I enjoy seeing someone so basic and cringe attempt to pivot from a lackluster acting career into an even more lackluster career as a foodie guru influencer.(As a side note, it’s telling and ironic that the most successful and uplifting content of her life was the “Together” cookbook, made when she was a working royal. Looks like the Palace knows what they are doing after all!)In honor of foodie Meghan, and in anticipation of whatever she’s about to unleash on us on her Instagram if it ever does indeed launch, I’ve compiled a perfect day of eating for the Meg.Breakfast:- For madam: After barking at her maids to clean up the broken crockery from the night before, she tucks into “A cup of hot water and a slice of lemon, followed by her favourite breakfast of steel-cut oats (usually made with almond or soy milk) with bananas and agave syrup for sweetness” (a line from the Pulitzer-winning “Finding Freedom”)For the three children (Todger Cream included): First a serving of inspirational bananas with messages such as “stay strong” (they’re gonna need it in that household!) on the peel. Then organic waffles on the Queen’s waffle maker. It’s shocking we don’t know the brand and that it hasn’t been merched yet, but there’s always time.Lunch:- A “mean bolognese” (Megain’s words), most likely Chef Corey’s recipe but repurposed for ensnaring Harry, who was impressed with her apparently amazing use of spicesFor the kids: In-N-Out milkshakes because she’s a cool relatable young mother of littlesSnack:- For the kids: Quesadillas served in a poverty backpack for the unhousedFor the man child: Vegetables from the garden and try-hard jam with Etsy labels that they haven’t been able to foist onto more unfortunate journos For Madam: A Clevr SuperLatte with a foam of trace lead and other earth metalsDinner:- Sushi appetizer for her while Harry sulks that there isn’t a steak option. He whines so much that she whips up her signature invisi-tacos a la Michelle Obama and puts Nando’s Peri-Peri sauce on them to remind him of the time she ate a three course meal while also on an epidural/bouncing on an exercise ball at the same timeAn engagement roast chicken for the main; Ina still hasn’t called but she’s holding out hope for a collabSome plant-based/pretentious sides with the latest pseudoscientific healthy merchable ingredients That f*cking lemon olive oil cake made with lemons from her trees (that if I hear about one more time I’m going to explode)Several bottles of Tignanello, our Saint’s ambrosia of enlightenment Late Night Snack:- Ozempic a la modeThere you have it! Let me know if I missed any of our Saint’s favorites. post link: https://ift.tt/mFKz8Ms author: Training-Jello7600 submitted: January 12, 2024 at 09:24PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

What color is your aura?
Siris:
Tumblr media
Sage
herb clippings, macha, bullet journals, mini backpacks, needlefelts, pistachio, laptop stickers. your essence is sage: you are introspective and retreating. everything is organized and planned ahead; you are meticulous, stacking up a card tower you can't let fall. it is difficult for you to untwist your tongue and tell others you need them. you are the observer. you are the writer gone off alone. you find kinship in like-minded individuals of green, forest, honeysuckle, and seafoam, who share your guarded nature. you are also drawn to the self-expressive sky and apricot, who will help you grow and embolden you to say what you need. however, you may struggle to get along with the overly-emotional personalities of rose and cream who ask you to be too vulnerable.
Hugo:
Tumblr media
Seafoam
clear water, milkshakes, crystals, agave, candy dishes, converse, seashells. your essence is seafoam: you lose yourself in dreams and drift away from reality. happiness is easier when alone; your sensitivity has borne you too many scars to risk honesty again. your imagination and intuition help you dive deep into introspection, at the cost of truly unfurling. you are the dreamer. you are the wallflower. you find kinship in like-minded individuals of teal, jade, sky, and sage, who similarly value their authenticity. you are also drawn to the diligent honeysuckle and coral, who will help you grow and turn your thoughts to reality. however, you may struggle to get along with the stubborn personalities of pearl and tawny who have no room for contradiction.
Lionell:
Tumblr media
Purple
geodes, club lights, ferris wheels, sunglasses, hummingbirds, eyeshadow, outer space. your essence is purple: you are gracious and thriving, and that is all you want anyone to see. you become a social chameleon to be exactly what they desire; your ambition adapts, pursuing whatever will come with recognition. you are a leader -- burning bright and never shy to speak. you are the star. you are the demonstrator. you find kinship in like-minded individuals of lilac, royal, mauve, and orchid, who share your decorum and aspirations. you are also drawn to the determined grey and red, who will help you grow and let go of your image to accept your flaws. however, you may struggle to get along with the free-floating personalities of yellow and brown who don't understand your far-reaching ambitions.

In Seneca's Oedipus Rex, Jocasta dominates over a weak husband-son, attracted to the atavistic excesses of her ancestor Agave, another mythological queen who dismembered her own son while possessed by dionysian fury. DISMEMBERMENT (σπαραγμός) and INCEST, meaning "underestimation" and "overestimation" of one's own blood link with the son: they are the two main aspects of the theban cycle, symbolizing the dangers hidden in royal dynasties.

Jonathan Drori’s interest in plants stems back to his childhood growing up in southwest London. His family lived within walking distance of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, home to one of the most prestigious and diverse collections of botanicals in the world. His parents would take him and his brother on frequent trips to the gardens, exploring the grounds and discovering new plant species from around the world.
“My father was trained in botany but spent his career as an engineer, while my mother was interested in the aesthetics of plants,” he says. “She would carry a magnifying glass in her purse, and we’d go to Kew every week to look at the individual plants.”
Fast forward several decades and now Drori is a botany expert in his own right, even serving as a trustee at Kew for a stint. He’s built a career as an educator, focusing on conservation, the environment and technology, and is also a prolific author. His 2021 book, Around the World in 80 Plants, follows on the heels of his bestseller, Around the World in 80 Trees, and serves as an illustrative compendium that explains the historical and cultural significance of different plant species, from amaranth to wormwood. Using a map as his guide, he selected a range of plants from around the world, each with an interesting backstory that focuses on the cultural significance and botanical structure of each species.
While Drori's latest book takes a more leisurely pace, for our purposes, here is a quick spin around the globe, through eight standout plants—some of which might be growing in your own backyard.
Kelp (Scotland and the United States)
Tumblr media
Sunlight streams through a forest of giant kelp. Douglas Klug via Getty Images
With its long tangles of sinuous leaves that bend and sway with the ocean waves, kelp (genus Laminaria) is a common sight along the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and is especially prolific in the cold waters lapping up against the Scottish and American coastlines. Kelp forests not only provide ample habitat and nutrition for invertebrates and fish, such as rockfish, crabs and jellyfish, but they also offer a number of important ingredients for us land dwellers, too. Beginning in the 18th century, kelp ash, a residue that’s the result of drying and burning kelp leaves, was used by glassmakers as soda, an ingredient that forces sand to melt at a lower temperature. “Kelp was also a prized source during World War I, and the acetone extracted from it was used to make explosives,” Drori says. Nowadays, kelp is harvested for a much sweeter reason: its alginates (part of the cell walls of brown algae) are one of the key components used to make ice cream.
Wormwood (France)
Tumblr media

Wormwood (genus Artemisia), an aromatic herb with silvery leaves and bright yellow buds, is native to Europe and can be found growing in fields throughout the continent, but particularly in France, where it’s used as one of the main ingredients in making absinthe. Although there are different thoughts on who actually invented absinthe, according to one story it's believed that the first person to use wormwood to make absinthe was a woman in Switzerland by the name of Madame Henriod. Called the “green fairy,” absinthe is a liquor that’s been immortalized in pop culture for its supposed psychedelic properties, which have led imbibers to “go mad," Drori says. (Case in point: Artist Vincent Van Gogh lopped off his ear after allegedly partaking in a few too many rounds of the potent tipple.)
Papyrus (Egypt)
Tumblr media

During antiquity, wild papyrus (Cyperus papyrus) grew prolifically throughout Egypt, sprouting up along the Nile River and other large bodies of water, reaching heights of 16 feet. The Egyptians were so drawn to the towering plant, with its splayed-out tufts of leaves, that they began harvesting it to eat. “Papyrus swamps were the larder of the day, they were teaming with life,” Drori says. “They didn’t have refrigeration back then, so it was a fantastic source of fresh food.” The Egyptians soon discovered that by drying the soft white pith running through the plant’s thick reeds and weaving them together, they could make paper. Word of this new commodity spread to Europe, and the rest is, well, history.
Vanilla (Madagascar)
Tumblr media
Green vanilla pods. miniloc via Getty Images
Native to Mexico, but now grown predominately in Madagascar, vanilla (Vanilla planifolia) is one of the most expensive spices in the world, fetching $50 or more per pound. And yet there’s good reason behind the hefty markup: Vanilla is also one of the most difficult plants to cultivate. Since it doesn’t self-pollinate, vanilla’s flowering blooms must be pollinated by hand in order for them to produce pods. What’s more, the horn-shaped flowers only bloom for one day, forcing vanilla growers to search plants regularly for new flowers. Once a bloom is found, growers use a pollination technique that’s 200 years old, which involves piercing the hermaphroditic plant’s membrane separating the male and female parts of the flower and squeezing them together to transfer the pollen in what’s called “consummating the marriage.” The steep price tag for the beans has resulted in a black market. However, growers have found a way to thwart thieves. “To prevent people from stealing their beans, farmers will incise a code that identifies themselves and their farm on each pod, similar to ranchers branding their cattle,” Drori says.
Lotus (India)

Designated as the national flower of India, the lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) has been a sacred symbol of the country for thousands of years. These aquatic plants, whose magnificent blooms come in shades of pink, yellow and white, are often seen floating languidly on the surface of ponds, marshes and other slow-moving bodies of water. The lotus is a commonly depicted motif in art as well, in particular amongst Hindus who believe that Brahma, the creator of the universe, emerged from the navel of Lord Vishnu while seated on top of a lotus flower. Not only is the stunning plant cherished for its beauty, but the lotus root is recognized as an important food staple across Indian, Japanese and Chinese cuisines, calling to mind the mild vegetal flavor of artichokes, but with a much more satisfying crunch.
Chrysanthemum (Japan)

Similar in appearance to a cheerleader’s pom poms, chrysanthemums (Chrysanthemums spp.) are some of the showiest plants found in nature. The blooms come in a variety of colors and forms, with some cultivars displaying single or double layers, while others burst with spherical petals. In the United States, chrysanthemums (or simply mums) are most commonly seen during the cooler, autumn months, decorating porches alongside pumpkins and stalks of corn; however, in the Far East, where they originated, they’re a common emblem and can be seen blooming in gardens in the autumnas well as in traditional paintings. These perennials are particularly revered in Japanese culture. “The chrysanthemum is associated with perfection and nobility,” he says. “The Imperial Seal of Japan is a chrysanthemum. It’s also regarded as one of the four ‘noble species’ alongside plum, orchid and bamboo.”
Amaranth (Peru)

Amaranth falls into the category of forgotten grains, since it’s often overshadowed by more readily available whole grains like oats and rye. However, it has gained popularity in recent years thanks to being highly nutritious and a good source of amino acids. In fact, prior to the Spanish Conquest in 1519, amaranth was a staple foodstuff of the Inca and Aztec empires. The Aztecs used the seeds of the scruffy garnet plant for ceremonial purposes, mixing amaranth flour with agave syrup and molding the mixture into figures representing important deities within their culture, such as Tlaloc, the god of rain. Upon seeing this, Spanish conquistadors banned the crop, believing “the practice to be the work of the devil,” Drori says. In modern-day Peru, a popular street snack called turrones is made by popping the seeds—similar to popcorn—and mixing it with agave syrup or molasses in a nod to the Aztecs.
Blue Agave (Mexico)

Blue agave (Agave tequilana) can be found in parts of the southern United States and Central America, but it’s most frequently grown in a sunny swath of rolling hills in Jalisco, a state in the western portion of Mexico. It’s there, in a town called Tequila, where the world’s top distillers make tequila using the piñas (hearts) found at the center of the spiky blue succulents. While the leaves of the blue agave are covered in barbs and inedible, the flowers of the plant are the source of agave syrup, a clear, sticky liquid similar to honey often used to sweeten up margaritas and other drinks. Once fermented, it turns into pulque, a milky alcoholic drink similar to low-octane beer that was originally used by the Aztecs during religious ceremonies. “Drawings of the goddess of fertility, Mayahuel, can be seen in the Aztec culture depicting the deity as a being with 400 breasts dripping with pulque,” Drori says. Today pulquerias serving the drink can be found in cities across Mexico.

Nicknames- Tris by her close friends and family
Age- 18
Location- Atlantis, Underwater Kingdom
Personality- Tris is a very studious girl. She's fiercely passionate and dedicated about things that are important to her- like family. She marches to the beat of her own drum & is not afraid of opening her mind/worldview to new things. She's got a sharp tongue and has a hard time keeping her opinions to herself sometimes. She's single.
She’s a nereid nymph. Her tail has teal & dark blue scales. Twice a week she rubs on a homemade recipe (her mom’s) of kelp and jellyfish to keep from flaking.
She's currently a freshman, staying on campus in a fabulous dorm attending Atlantis University. She hopes to get a degree in political science, with a minor in aquatic history. Tris is also a writer for her college's newspaper- The Atlantis Courier, writing for the politics section. She has a very good friend at school, a mermaid named Chloe. Lately, she's been flirting a bit with a merguy named Cyano who's in her Oceanic Histories class.
Tris grew up in a sprawling mansion (nicknamed The Silver Palace) in a very large family, probably the biggest family in all the seas. Her parents have fifty-one children in total! She has fifty other sisters & one brother named Nerites (nicknamed Neri). She also has quite the number of nieces and nephews from her eldest siblings.
Growing up she was classically trained to sing by her mother Doris who used to sing opera. Tris received many compliments on her voice. She also grew up taking lessons to play the piano, the flute, and the harp. Her and all of her other sisters took lessons on hula dancing & ballet. A fond memory of hers is when Tris and her mom would go to the opera, snacking on the coconut mini cakes they'd snuck in. It's been a while since they hung out together.
She remembers every instance of when someone remarked that she should sing professionally. Tris often fantasizes about being a "master vocalist/political bad-ass."
Even though she loves all her sisters, Tris is closer to Lala (Galatea), Sam (Psamathe), Maera, & Thetis- since they're close enough in age. They all would hang out often, "surfacing" up to Olympius- specifically the state of Naxos where they'd flirt with sailors, sunbathe, shop at the nearby flea markets, and drink countless fruit slushies. They'd all end up at a seaside hotel where they'd all hula dance & sing karaoke. Tris hasn't personally hung out with Thetis since she decided to live in Olympius full time for her modeling career- and also having a bit of a fallout after a “major disagreement.” Her brother Neri does stop by her dorm from time to time, annoying Tris, but mostly to flirt with Chloe.
Her go-to drink is an aqua pearl cocktail (a drink made with gin, pineapple juice, lemon juice, simple syrup, blue curacao, & angostura). She also likes electric lemonade (a drink made with blue curacao, lemonade, lemon-lime soda, and vodka), lychee bubble tea, and New Olympus Iced Teas.
Tris is a HUGE basketball fan! Her and her father once sat courtside at the Phykios Stadium where they watched the championship featuring their favorite team- the Atlantis Sea Snakes!
Her freshman survival pack includes dried guava gummies, saltwater taffy, salt & vinegar seaweed chips, lychee licorice twists, and saltwater infused cola.
Two of Tris' favorite animals are dolphins and sea turtles!
Her favorite breakfast is a stack of pineapple pancakes‐ drowned in coconut agave syrup and topped with whipped cream! Her dad makes the best.
Tris' fav musical artist to listen to is Eurydice. She's a major super fan- having all her albums & a HUGE poster of her on the wall in her dorm. Her & 20 of her sisters once went to see her perform at the Royal Pearl Concert Hall. Her favorite album of hers to listen to on a continuous loop, is her debut, Cinnamon.
For her long dark wavy hair, she loves using the Glory's Crown kelp & mint volumizing shampoo and conditioner as well as the sea salt texturizing spray.
Tris adores her father Nereus. She always wears the necklace given to her by him when she was born- a gold chain with a white seashell & pearl charm. She also loves the stories he used to tell her when she was younger, of epic oceanic legends.
As a piece offering, Thetis gave her a Diamond Ave. dolphin shaped jeweled clutch. Tris keeps it in the back of her closet at home.
Tris had her first kiss when she was 11. It was with a neighbor- a merboy named Kai who went to the same school as her. Her first real relationship was with a merguy named Wade. They were each other's first love, they dated all through high school, he was Tris' date to the prom, & they had sex for the first time with each other. They broke up mutually before starting university since they were going to different schools. They sometimes keep in touch through Fatestagram.
Her favorite meal is tako poke- diced octopus, kimchi, sesame seed oil, crushed chilis, and sea salt. Her mother usually brings it by for Tris when she's not in the mood to eat junk food. She can also make her "special" grilled cheese‐ made with sweet bread, grilled pineapple slices, provolone, & mozzarella cheese.
Tris' favorite frozen treat is a sundae made with coconut and blue moon ice cream topped with shaved coconut!
In her free time (when she’s not in school), Tris loves spending time with her family, singing, watching historical documentaries, solve crossword puzzles, embroidery, listening to music, & hanging out with friends.
"Much like the sea, I don't like to be restrained!"

2, 14, 19 and 26 for the asks if you’re still doing them!
2.  Do you drink tea or coffee? How do you take it?
I don't drink much of either but I drink coffee more often than tea- and I'm very particular about the tea I drink (I found that I've really only liked hibiscus-based teas for some reason). Anyways, With my coffee, I usually use about 2-3 TBSP of creamer in it. For tea, I use about 4 TBSP of honey or Agave nectar (but I prefer honey).
14. What’s your favorite color?
See here's the thing about favorites for me...lol. I have a hard time picking one, and I have a few distinct colors that I like above all else: Cerulean Blue, Sage Green, Steel Blue, Royal Blue, Plum Purple, Pine Green, Black, and Vermillion Red. I do have a favorite color combination though, and that's Cerulean Blue and Tiger Orange!
19. Do you have a best friend? How long have you been friends?
I have a handful of very, very close friends that I talk to regularly, and I think there's two in particular that I would classify as "best" friends, though I don't like dichotomizing that way if I can avoid it because it's all relative lol. Anyways, I've known one of them for 8 years, and the other for 7 years, and I've lived with both of them (one you might all be familiar with- they're handle is @offscreen-demon-flirting)
26. What are some seemingly childish things you like?
Lmao like 75% of my interests are seemingly "childish" but I don't give a shit and like them anyway. I love stuffed animals, stickers, fidget toys, and a variety of children's TV/Movies (some favorites are Bluey, Spongebob, Summer Camp Island, Winnie the Pooh, The Fox and the Hound, Adventure Time, The Muppets- specifically the Muppet Treasure Island movie, Bambi, Robin Hood - the one with the animated fox). I also have a collection of figures/toys/posters/plushies from various things like Godzilla, Star Wars, the DC Comic universe, and Pokémon. So yeah- a lot of my life surrounding childish things lol.
ask me stuff
note: Idk why tumblr refused to let me answer these until today bc I tried 7 times over my 4-day weekend but here we are lol.
