(top.. 6?) criminally underrated ringo starr solo work songs
because it needs to be said!
i see a lot of people just automatically think of "photograph" or "it don't come easy" and while they are very good choices a lot of this other solo work is pushed to the side, and even not deemed as "very good" which, in all honesty, screw the critics bc these are some great tracks and albums
wrack my brain (stop and smell the roses, 1981)
this one is one of my favorites out of ringo's work and definitely my favorite on the album. its so upbeat and catchy i am constantly singing it to myself! dancing to this one is a great experience (10/10)
hopeless (old wave, 1983)
this album was one of the ones that was a critical failure, but i can't help but love it! i know even ringo himself doesn't like some of his later work but... i beg to differ! hopeless is one of his sadder ones lyric-wise but the music is so upbeat and fun, another great one to dance to
stardust (sentimental journey, 1970)
sentimental journey was a huge success but its not as well known now :o i really suggest you to listen to this whole album ESPECIALLY if you're a sinatra fan like i am. his voice is really meant for jazz and you can hear it
pure gold (ringo's rotogravure, 1976)
another album deemed a critical failure, and this was a pretty rough patch in his life, but i cant help but love this album regardless. this song is so slow and sweet and his voice sounds so smooth. other songs from this album i recommend are a dose of rock'n'roll and you don't know me at all.
six o'clock (ringo, 1973)
this was a song written by paul and you can definitely tell. ringo's voice sounds so sweet and wonderful here
love don't last long (beaucoups of blues, 1970)
if you love old/70s country music, you'll love this album. he goes full country but most of it are sad songs, including this one. this one is my favorite off of the album, the lyrics are sad especially if you really listen to some key verses. his voice does country very well, which isn't that surprising since he can rock act naturally
theres so many others i'd love to include, but i wanted to keep this list fairly short. a more well known one that is still underrated is the no-no song because honestly... who doesnt love the no-no song

 Printing Cylinder
Tumblr media
Gravure printing predominates in the high-volume printing of packaging, wallpaper and gift wrap. Although less common, it also works for printing magazines, greeting cards, and high- volume advertising pieces. In gravure printing, an image is acid-etched on the surface of a metal cylinder—one cylinder for each colour in a pattern of cells. The cells are recessed into the cylinder, unlike relief printing or letterpress where the printing image is raised or like offset printing, in which the image is level with the plate - rotogravure printing cylinder.
Our gravure proofing presses supply shafted and shaftless cylinder choices, permitting you to customize the press according to your operational wants. The gravure proofing press caters to your particular wants with numerous features and customisation choices. All our shoppers profit from our expertise and expertise, as we offer comprehensive help throughout the whole manufacturing journey. We produce tailored embossing rollers with the most recent laser, etching and knurling applied sciences and methods, effortlessly reproducing intricate particulars and patterns - printer cylinder.
Rotogravure printing, system of printing based on the transfer of fluid ink from depressions in a printing plate to the paper. It is an intaglio process, so-called because the design to be printed is etched or engraved below the surface of the printing plate. A gravure printing plate made of copper is then prepared to accept photomechanical transfer using a gravure screen; this is a grid of closely intersecting lines that create thousands of tiny squares on the plate, which will in turn react differentially to an etching bath after the plate has been exposed to light through the positive film.
Our online tools make the process as simple and clear as possible, and we’re working to enhance your expertise on a regular basis. Because cells of different depths can hold varying amounts of ink, the rotogravure process can print a rich, full range of tonal values, making it ideal for reproducing photographs and other continuous-tone copy in large quantities. In the printing process, the cylinder bearing the printing plates is usually arranged so that during its rotary movement it passes through a trough filled with a thin solution of fast-drying ink, or is sprayed with ink instead. The Art You've Wear
Fashion is an art that you wear, it is an expression of its uniqueness. Fashion is a vital indicator of what it is to be modern, and central to how we wish to be recognized as individuals in the world. These clothes were typically made from plants, animal skins and bone. Back then, the most basic pieces of female clothing were made-to-measure by dressmakers and seamstress dealing directly with the client. Most often, clothing was patterned, sewn and tailored in the household. The design of these clothes became increasing based on printed designs, especially from Paris, which were circulated around Europe, and eagerly anticipated in the provinces.
In the early 20th century, fashion magazines and, with rotogravure, newspapers, began to include photographs and became even more influential. Throughout the world these magazines were greatly sought-after and had a profound effect on public taste. There are a lot of types of fashion, but I can give you 8 of them. First, we have sporty, bohemian, grunge, preppy, punk, streetwear, classic and casual. Fashion can be appreciated both for how it looks and how it's made.
Remember that don' t let the clothes wear your mind, you wear the clothes. Confidence is the key, as what Rihanna said "Confidence is the most important thing. You can be the best dresser in the world, but if you don' t feel confident, it won't show."

1. What is illustration?
An illustration is a visualization that is made by an artist. The goal of each illustration is to explain information. It can be a drawing, a photograph, a collage, etc. It doesn’t matter. As long as it keeps its purpose – to visually represent facts and details.
There’s a difference between an illustration and a piece of art. While an illustration is there to explain something visually, art paintings have are not connected to any information. They are a subject of interpretation.
An illustration might either compliment a story (like a photograph in a newspaper) or completely remove the need to add text (like an infographic).
Tumblr media
2. Evolution of Illustrations
Illustrations have been here for a long time. To be precise, a very long time. According to IllustrationHistory, the first illustration dates back to 15,000 B.C. Ancient illustrations show us so much about the way people used to live back then. When the ancient Greeks and Romans were thriving, they left behind hundreds of reminders of their legacy. It is seen throughout the world, but perhaps most peculiar are the illustrations that have been left in certain places – depictions of battles, myths, and more.
And while illustrations have been part of people’s lives for a very long time, it wasn’t until the late 19th century that the Golden Age of illustrations really took off.  The world changed forever when the printing process called “halftone printing” was introduced in the mid-19th century. Images could be reproduced in newspapers, books, product literature, and other printed materials – even on tea. Meanwhile, advances in printing technologies like offset lithography and rotogravure helped make printing materials affordable to the masses.
Photography was present since 1826 but it wasn’t until about a century later that it started replacing illustrations in mass use – like newspapers and magazines. Photography is still current to this day, while illustrations have caught up with modern times, and nowadays, most of the newly made drawings are made in digital form. Today, woodcutting, lithography, and other “dated” illustration styles and techniques are considered exclusive, and illustrations made this way are usually highly priced.
Tumblr media
3. Illustration Types
Nowadays, illustrations are common. They find good utility in many areas of life. According to Thermopylae Science and Technology,
The human brain processes images 60,000 times faster than text, and 90 percent of information transmitted to the brain is visual.
Since the attention span of human beings has been significantly shrunk in the last less than two decades (just over 8 seconds), companies are trying to find a way to convey their message in a much shorter form and make it more accessible. Illustrations come to the rescue in this digital age. But let’s see which are the main illustration types companies use today:
3.1. Editorial Illustrations
3.2. Technical Illustrations
3.3. Infographics
3.4. Concept Art
3.5 Fashion Illustrations
3.7. Package Illustrations
3.8. 3D Illustrations
3.9. Niche Illustrations
4. What is the difference between Graphic Design and Illustration?
Graphic design and illustrations are different. The graphic designer is not necessarily an artist. Their job is to find text and create texts, set the background, add a Call-To-Action button, and work with illustrations and photos to suit their or their clients’ needs best. A graphic designer comes with the final product. Illustrations are about art and the illustrator’s job is to create a meaningful piece of work that can be utilized by the graphic designer (if permission is granted).
Conclusion
Illustrations have been an immutable part of our lives. Since ancient times, humans were giving drawings a specific meaning. And while the measures have evolved, the idea behind illustrations – to visualize something which could be written in text or said – has remained the same.

I hate when people act like Ringo’s entire solo career is shit. (Aka I’m pissed at a podcast Facebook group I’m in.) So here’s some of my fave Ringo solo songs to spread the Ringo love.
Disclaimer: These are my personal favorites. This has nothing to do with which ones I think are his “best,” these are just some that make me happy. Also, I’m leaving off some of the more well-known ones like Photograph and It Don’t Come Easy.
Loser’s Lounge (from Beaucoups of Blues)
I’m the Greatest (from Ringo)
Occapella (from Goodnight Vienna)
Snookeroo (from Goodnight Vienna)
Lady Gaye (from Ringo's Rotogravure)
I Don’t Believe You (from Time Takes Time)
Runaways (from Time Takes Time)
Literally every other song on Time Takes Time. I’m so obsessed with that album!!
In Liverpool (from Ringo 2012)
Grow Old With Me (from What’s My Name)
What’s My Name (from What’s My Name)
Here’s to the Nights (his new single!!!)

My local paper runs a column. It seems both biased and false. Could anyone help me draft a response to this? @korrasera your style of dismantling comes to mind.
This is a weekly column, and many people listen.
This is a very conservative read: proceed with caution.
(Cut and paste direct from the newspaper)
Nancy Pelosi tells us that the border wall is immoral. We must not build it because we, as a better nation, are than that. In the past, Democrats voted in favor of fencing, but now they have recognized the error of their ways. Now they cannot sanction something that shuts out innocent migrants.
I, however, am at a loss. Why did the wall suddenly become immoral? Who is it hurting? Apparently the illegal aliens. We are also told by Nancy and her ilk that these folks are only seeking a better life. They make a harrowing journey of thousands of miles just to help their children.
Someone should tell liberals that most crimes are committed in order to obtain a better life. People rob banks to get the money to do so. They also kill those who get in the way to improve their situation. Some even engage in rape to gain personal satisfaction.
Breaking the law is not excused by wanting a better life. Even if it improves their children’s circumstances, it over steps the bounds of civil society. This kind of justification pardons all manner of evil. As a result, it condones anarchy — which is immoral.
We are also told that a wall is medieval. It is old-fashioned and therefore outdated. In fact, walls go back at least ten thousand years. Why then did ancient cities have them? Because they worked. If something is old — like agriculture — that doesn’t mean it is ineffective.
Instead liberals like Pelosi want a virtual wall. They insist that technology is cheaper and more efficient than concrete or steel. All we need to do is put up drones to keep track of border crossers. This will keep them out.
The trouble with a virtual wall is that it is imaginary. Taking pictures of undocumented migrants without physically apprehending them is a farce. What are we going to do with those photographs? Spread them across the border as kind of rotogravure?
Given this inanity, Democrats are accused of wanting open borders. They, however, contend this isn’t so. They claim to understand that a nation is not a nation if it cannot control its frontiers. The difference between them and Trump is that they will be more effective.
But this too is an absurdity. I learned as far back as the first grade that you don’t just listen to what people say; you watch what they do. The reality is that liberals have defended open borders at every turn. They are not for law enforcement, but lawlessness.
From the institution of sanctuary cities to calls for abolishing ICE, they put up obstacles to maintaining our national integrity. They are not only willing to shut down the government to deny Trump a measly five billion dollars; they don’t want to spend anything on enhanced security.
Instead they say we must reimagine improved techniques. Nevertheless, when asked what these are, they are silent. Actually they are more likely to change the subject. The point is that they are lying. Their goal is to destroy Trump, while bringing in millions of potential Democratic voters.
So who, I ask, made Nancy and her teammates moral arbiters? What qualifies them to decide what is right or wrong? Their track record of perpetually lying would seem to eliminate them from contention. They can’t even provide a cogent explanation for their opinions.
Of course, when push comes to shove, they assert that they are uniquely compassionate. They care about the underdogs and are dedicated to helping them. Yet once again, I appeal to results not promises. If you care about the poor, you do things that actually help them.
Liberals like Pelosi specialize in posturing. Do you remember when she told us that congress would have to pass ObamaCare before we could know what was in it? Was this a democratic attitude? Didn’t it imply that she knew best and others needed to fall in line?
Because many Democrats believe they were anointed to save the world, they do not worry about little things like being moral. When they lie, these are noble lies. When they inflict injuries, it is to protect others. They are only breaking a few eggs so they can make an omelet.
In the recent electoral cycles, Democrats let the mask slip. Nowadays they are prepared to acknowledge their socialist proclivities. But they are not yet willing to admit tens of millions were slaughtered in the name of their ideal. I submit that people like this have no right to decide what is moral. They are neither nice nor wise!

Cellulose Esters And Ethers Market Size Worth $7.8 Billion By 2027
The global cellulose esters and ethers market size is anticipated to reach USD 7.8 billion by 2027, expanding at a revenue-based CAGR of 4.9%, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. The market is expected to be driven by growing demand for products in the cigarette filters, textiles and apparel, photographic films, and food and beverage industries, specifically in emerging economies of Asia Pacific.
Developed economies such as North America and Europe are projected to emerge as prominent markets. Lack of time and rising consumer purchasing power in these regions have resulted in an increased demand for baked food products and convenience foods. In addition, the growing number of product-specific bakeries is expected to foster emulsifier manufacturers to incorporate cellulose-based esters and ethers in their product line.
Cellulose esters and ethers are primarily employed in personal care products such as body lotions, shampoos, face creams, and cold creams owing to their excellent binding, thickening, stabilizing, and moisturizing properties. In addition, increasing product consumption in toothpaste for imparting a smooth texture, improving salt tolerance, and enhancing acid resistance is projected to drive the market.
Cellulose acetate is widely utilized in manufacturing cigarette filters. Key players are concentrating on flavored tobacco products, including flavored smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes, cigarillos, and hookah, due to their growing popularity across the globe. It also finds applications in numerous printing platforms, including rotogravure, offset, inkjet, and flexographic. Increasing demand for inks for packaging and printing products like newspapers, magazines, and books in China, India, and Vietnam is projected to bolster market growth.
Methylcellulose acts as a binder, film former, preservative, thickener, and retarder in addition to promoting air entrainment in various applications of the construction sector. It is used in building materials such as cement-based tile grouts, cement-based plasters, tile adhesives, and mortars for the skim coat. Rising infrastructural activity in economies such as Saudi Arabia, China, India, and Brazil is anticipated to drive product demand in the construction sector over the forecast period.
