Boys not being shown in horse cartoon promos is getting real bad by now
So, this is Unicorn Academy on Netflix. This particular piece of promo art shows the magical unicorns, their riders, the CGI, the flower, all looks well…
Except for conspicuously missing one guy. Yes. A guy.
This is Rory. Easily the best character in the entire show by comfortable margin. Yes, even more so than the fairy. He's c00l, and he's got a true entrepreneur spirit in him. I am sure he will grow up to become a multi-millionaire, through whatever profession he wants.
Yet there's at least several pieces of promo material and posters where he has simply been airbrushed out, 1930s Soviet Union-style.
Considering the exact same thing has happened in one other recent horse cartoon, with Hitch Trailblazer, both before and after Hitch changed from a brave constable to a total wimp who was scared of everything, I am officially coining the term "Male erasure" in regards to recent CGI cartoons.
Surely all these toy-and-media companies should and do know better than this?

Poll Results
at this time, I've gotten an overwhelming 309 responses to the poll! I'm going to keep it open so folks can continue answering at their leisure, but here are the results so far:
Witch Route vs Detective Route is an exact 50/50 split! However, the Witch's Chaos Crew (65%) and Detective's Distraction Team (87%) have run away with the votes. I may have underestimated y'all's love of chaos, and I'll be keeping this in mind going forward
56% of you had a childhood crush on Li! An additional 42.4% were their best friend, and less than 2% of you chose to be mere acquaintances.
A whopping 94% of you drank the coffee. I admire your lack of self-preservation instincts.
The Jeep has stolen the show as favorite car, taking almost 30% of the vote:
this is so interesting to me, because the jeep wasn't part of the original car lineup. it was added for my bestie, so y'all can thank her for that 💙
Sebastian is by far the most popular partner in the Carmichael fight, with 46% of the vote. Li is right behind him with 43.8%. Azalea and Kana trail behind with only 6.2% and 3.9% respectively.
The fight results are pretty close, with 54% of you getting Carmichael to change back on his own, and 46% having to knock him out.
92% of you chose to ride with Li and Sebastian back from Cammore.
86% of you decided to listen to the little girl and wear the necklace Anya gave you. 14% put it in your pocket instead, and at this time no one has voted to leave it in your room!
the routes heading into Chapter 4 are currently a 75/25 split, in favor of Team Shapeshifter!
92% of you chose to check in on Sebastian after learning about his dad, with 6% of you choosing to give him space, 1.6% staying mad about it, and 0.4% choosing to just ignore the situation entirely for now.
And then finally, to my surprise the Bas/Li poly route is currently the most popular:
considering there was a time that I was on the fence about including it, this is very interesting to me. I'm not surprised that Li and Sebastian's individual routes are popular as well. I'm curious how the numbers might change once we start getting to know Rory and Kana better 😉
lastly, I wanted to comment really quick on some of the suggestions y'all have made! these are anonymous and I don't know who they're from, but there are a few things that I saw mentioned a lot and I just wanted to take a moment to address some of them. putting it under a read more, to save this already long post from getting longer:
a lot of you asked about picking a clothing style and things like tattoos/scars/body hair and other body features. this is something I'm already planning for, and will be coming up later in chapter 4!
I've gotten some great suggestions for things to add to the cc and room styles in chapter 3, and I'll work on implementing those as well. some of them will be easier to code in than others, but I'll try and get to as many as I can (and add others in the future, if I can't get them all this month)
I also got quite a few requests for more car customization, and this is something coming up in chapter 4 as well. on the Siren route, it'll come up before you hit the road again. on the Shapeshifter route, it'll be a Rory bonding experience 😁
and I don't want to call anyone out individually, but I don't know how else to respond to this: for the person who requested an arcade-ish room, there's already an option (pick black walls, then "but the rest of the furniture is brightly colored") that is described in-game as looking like an arcade from the 90's! it specifically mentions a busy carpet pattern 💙

Rory’s gonna have the Hive up and running by the time we get together again, so you won’t all be crammed in my house.... Okay get out I want to take my shirt off and wear my comfy pants and I can’t do that with you loitering. Begone, lesser vampires! Shoo!” It’s with a roll of eyes and a chorus of laughter that October ushers his clan out the front door of his house, watching with careful blue eyes as they make their way back to cars or toward home on foot. It’s when Atlas goes to leave, however, that he catches the younger vampire by the shoulder. “Not you, Carmichael, not yet.”
October and Atlas had come to some form of... peace, in the time since the forming of the Rex Vespidae. He’s not sure if it was Sloane or Atlas himself who suggested their joining, but he was more than willing to welcome them under either merit- There was no use in in-fighting, not when they were all trapped under the reign of the royal bitch, so despite their differences, and October’s well-known temper, they’d made nice. Which meant the older vampire was concerned. “You... eating right, Carmichael? I don’t usually bother myself with the feeding habits of the rest of the clan, but I at least hear from the feeders, you don’t have to go black market anymore, killer.”

Nous allons commencer par le domaine où il y a eu le plus de projet est c'est sans surprise que nous commençons dans la catégorie acting. Victoria fait la couverture du magazine “Glamour” que vous pouvez retrouver juste ici elle a réalisé aussi une pub pour le nouveau parfum de versace.
Félicitations à Lilith Torres d'avoir défilé pour la fashion week pour la marque Jacquemus. Victoria a elle aussi poster cette vidéo de danse pour annoncer son retour dans ce domaine.

Hey :)) was just wondering how many chapters you expect there to be??
the short answer is: I have no idea
the long answer: I used to have a plan of around 15 chapters or so, but a lot of those chapters have ended up merging into strange mutant franken-chapters. chapter 1 was originally planned out as 2 chapters, and so was chapter 2. I've considered separating them back out into smaller chapters, but I'm still not sure if I want to or if I like my franken-chapters better
so it might end up being around 7 or 8 very long chapters instead of the initially-planned 15 normal-sized ones.
so yeah, I have no idea 😅 we'll have to wait and see
a little more information about that under the cut if y'all are interested about the details/ways things have changed
In my original outline, Chapter 1 ended at the choice on whether to call Nellie or Sebastian
Chapter 2 was split into two versions, the Witch Route and Detective Route, and ended where Chapter 1 does now
and then Chapter 3 was the road trip and arrival in Cammore, and ended when you find Rory and Carmichael
Chapter 4 was the fight, the post-fight check-ins at the B&B, and the vision at the beginning of what's now Chapter 3
Chapter 5 started at "You wake up five hours later, when [Seer] has another vision." and ended where Chapter 3 does now, with Anya
And then what's now the start of Chapter 4 was originally planned to be the beginning of Chapter 6, and 4 will probably encompass what was originally going to be chapters 6 and 7
so at the end of Chapter 4, we'll be at approximately the halfway point of the story, or at least getting close to it. I think
