Hispano-Suiza H6B Dubonnet Xenia (1938)
The history of the Hispano-Suiza marque begins in 1898, with Spanish artillery captain Emilio de la Cuadra starting electric car production in Barcelona under the name ‘La Cuadra’. Along the way he met Swiss engineer Marc Birkigt and hired him to work for the company in Spain, before they ultimately got bought out by José María Castro Fernández in 1902 and were renamed ‘Fábrica Hispano-Suiza de Automóviles’ (Spanish-Swiss Automobile Factory). A bankruptcy followed, but a 1904 restructuring saw them return as ‘La Hispano-Suiza Fábrica de Automóviles’, introducing four new engines over the next two years: a 3.8-litre; a 7.4-litre four-cylinder; and two large six-cylinder units. During World War I, Hispano-Suiza designed and produced aircraft engines under Birkigt’s direction, and is credited with the first practical ‘cast-block’ aero engine, and the first V8 aero engine.
Hispano-Suiza introduced the Marc Birkigt-designed H6 at the 1919 Paris Motor Show. It used a straight-six engine inspired by Birkigt’s aero efforts, but essentially half of his aero V12 design with a new overhead camshaft mechanism that made 160 bhp with a 6.6-litre displacement. It also excelled in the form of braking, using alloy drums all-round with the first power assist the industry had seen – under deceleration, the car would use its own momentum to provide braking power. This technology was later licensed to various other manufacturers, including Rolls-Royce.
This car is completely unique. The car you are looking at is a Hispano-Suiza H6B (a later model, with slightly more power) by clothed in a bespoke body by Saoutchik. The story starts with André Dubonnet, an inventor, racing driver and World War I fighter pilot who made fortunes from his engineering brilliance. To showcase a new independent suspension system he had developed for cars, he purchased a Hispano-Suiza H6 chassis and engine (slightly upgraded to H6C specs) and collaborated with Jean Andreau on its exterior design. The ‘Xenia’ (named after his deceased wife) was fitted with ‘Hyperflex’ suspension of his own design, with him claiming it had “the suppleness of a cat”, hence the Dubonnet logo. This technology was leaps and bounds ahead of the competition and was later used by General Motors with their Cadillac, Buick and Oldsmobile brands. The Xenia was also the first car to use curved windows, of which moved in a ‘gullwing’ fashion (as the doors hinged back rather than out).
The Xenia was Dubonnet’s personal car and was hidden during World War II, until the opening of the Saint Cloud tunnel in June 1946, where Xenia led the parade.

Even when he’s living like the trash panda he is at heart, Zhao Yunlan keeps his window nook far more clutter-free than I would if left to my own devices. The fact that it’s not piled high with dirty clothes is already testament to his incredible restraint.
Of note:
The license plates. I’ve lived in or near Pennsylvania for a while, so I recognize that one on sight - but that appears to be one of the only real ones. The red “FI1929″ ones with the Ferrari logo are decorative, as are the “BUS1956″ black one from London and the “RR1929″ Rolls Royce one. The crown jewel of the collection, though, appears to be one from AMERICA in general, with the number “FBI 007″ on it (which sounds more like a joint US-UK venture, but what do I know?).
Da Qing’s tire bed. Now, we all know that Da Qing actually sleeps sprawled out and taking up as much of Zhao Yunlan’s bed as possible, as all cats would do if they were gifted with human bodies, but I guess on nights he’s being polite, he’s got his little spot.
Dangly toys. I feel like those are Da Qing’s own decor choices, complete with little bells at the bottom for maximum possible noise.
The little summoning table. It’s also his laptop charging station, which I think technically makes this whole nook his home office. At least the incense probably smells better than sending an email does.
Motorcycle art. It appears to be an identical piece to the one on his bedroom wall. Two possibilities come to mind. The first is that they’re gifts from those relatives who know, like, one thing about you (he likes motorcycles!), and every gift you get for the rest of your life is themed on that one piece of knowledge. The second is that he saw it, liked it, bought it, and then immediately forgot he’d done this until after he’d done the same thing a second time.
The swing. ...No, I can’t; the swing is going to need its own post.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Weight
The Meteor Lake CPU in Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 reduced size and improved performance.
The Rolls Royce of productivity laptops, Lenovo’s X1 Carbon offers a lightweight design, an industry-leading keyboard, exceptional battery life, and all the necessary ports. The X1 Carbon Gen 12 has downsized and dropped 0.08 pounds while adding an Intel Core Ultra CPU, its first consumer chip with an NPU for AI.
Lenovo’s keyboard and Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 performance were fantastic in tests. Meteor Lake handled local AI admirably. Battery life was bad on 2880 x 1800 OLED panel demonstration unit. The $2,263 variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is pricey compared to the X1 Carbon (Gen 11). If pricing drops or you don’t mind paying for the latest and greatest components, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 is great for portable productivity.
Lenovo ThinKpad X1 Carbon Touch Screen
To compete with ultrabooks, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 has a boxy, raven-black body with vivid red logo, status light, and TrackPoint pointing stick. Some find this shape and colour iconic, while others think it conservative.
The Carbon has been Lenovo’s flagship ThinkPad for years, with a sleek design, tiny, lightweight frame, huge screen, and many ports.
Communications bar with webcam, IR sensor, and privacy shutter protrudes above screen in thin bezel. It opens the laptop from the lid.

They examined Lenovo’s highest-end Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12, which includes an OLED panel with 2880 x 1800 resolution, HDR, and 120 Hz (double the standard 60 Hz for non-gaming laptops).
As expected, this screen boasts bright, sharp images and great viewing angles, although productivity users may not need its features.

The 1920 x 1200 monitor and 15-watt Intel Core i7 U series processor from last year’s 13-hour-45-minute edition were present.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 Software and Warranty
Like other ThinkPads, the X1 Carbon has Commercial Vantage. The programme upgrades drivers and BIOS and customises speaker, microphone, and camera settings. This programme also lets you set the F12 key, whether the computer turns on when you open the lid, and if the USB port stays on for charging when the machine is off.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Specs
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 has been available in restricted configurations at premium prices since December. They expect Gen 12 options to increase and costs to decrease as the company sells more prior-gen machines and increases manufacturing. The US offers few, pricey options.
The leading U.S. laptop seller, Lenovo.com, offers six options from $2,263 to $3,047.
They all have 1920 x 1200 touch or non-touch displays, not evaluation configuration’s 2880 x 1800 OLED.
Lenovo 2880 x 1800 screen, Core Ultra 7 155U CPU, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD configuration cost $2,800 when it was on sale a few months ago.
They recommend the 1920 x 1200 panel for power efficiency and battery life.
The cheapest model is a Core Ultra 5 125U CPU, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD for $2,263.
Lenovo recommended $3,039.20 model has a Core Ultra 7 165U CPU, 1920 x 1200 touch screen, 32GB RAM, and 1TB.
Conclusion
Light and sturdy, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 has industry-leading typing and navigation, a great webcam, and many ports. From video conferencing backdrop blurring to image production and chatbotting, the Intel Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” processor will process AI locally.
The processor’s increased TDP (28 watts, 20 watts as configured) or the 120 Hz OLED display reduce battery life in tests on the X1 Carbon Gen 12.
Current X1 Carbon Gen 12 prices are excessively much for what you receive. After a few months, new ThinkPad costs drop, but you can’t purchase a base machine with inferior features for under $2,200 or my specs for under $3,000.
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 11) from last year is still available in more configurations, starting at $1,439 and with 32GB of RAM for $1,710. Although less powerful and a few tenths of an inch larger, the Gen 11 device offers much of the current model’s benefits at a reduced cost.
The ThinkPad is durable and has a fantastic typing experience, while the Asus Zenbook OLED 14 and HP Spectre x360 have longer battery life, cost hundreds or $1,000 less, and have Core Ultra CPUs

My object is an original Lego creation inspired by a 1950s Rolls Royce Ghost. It is minfigure scale and features an interior fitted with seats, a steering wheel, a dashboard, tan carpet flooring with red wool mats, and storage space. It also has functional doors, a detachable roof for convertible mode, and is drivable.
This object reveals my creative side. I have loved playing with Legos since I was a child, but I never stopped unlike most. To me, Lego is a form of art like drawing or painting. Over the years I've created all sorts of things, like Star Wars dioramas and the Pixar logo, but this is the creation that I'm the most proud of because of the difficulty in nailing the shape and functionality.

We sold about 300 million rolls royces an hour for two days and through the night and jeez it is the cruiser version and it's going well there are huge numbers of people ordering them they're ordering them all day and night we cannot tell you how many it's just a huge number and yeah it's in the billions there are some areas that are selling 2 to 10 times more than others in Los Angeles we sold about 1 billion and it's going on that way and it is increasing not decreasing in New York City there's a sales about 2 billion and yeah they're sales are going up there and they're probably about half a trillion of this particular model the other models are about a quarter of a trillion and growing because they are the actual rolls royces they are priced properly and not to sell fast they're probably ranging for from 4 to 8 million and we do put a lot of conveniences in them that are appropriate and functional we're not putting crappy ones in at all everything is top quality it's actually top quality brand names like Bosch and things like that. Blapunk stereos. And boes. We use Viking refrigerators mostly and there's a whole bunch of other things that we're using CD players we like the Panasonic now we're using high quality equipment.
It's a big number and it's going up the regular rolls royces are picking up and they're not kits and people are wondering where they're coming from and mostly the max and they're not doing anything about it they are trying to collect them and just make them a little mad but they don't care they say we're occupied making cars
Other vehicles that are taking off and we started making the kits for the Chrysler and we switched and are making the real thing it was absurd the kids are almost as much as the car the car starts at about $200,000 and it goes up to about $250,000 and it's not much considering what it is it's a supercar it's not like the Corvette which is 170,000 no that's a super car too but we'll be in different version we have tons of kids out there huge numbers and they're not building the regular Corvette and they're insisting we don't it is coming up though that we will start doing that shortly there is a window coming up that we might be able to and we're going to make our version of the Corvette which is much better there are several other things happening and we will notify people shortly of what they are we're going to do it when he's more comfortable
