Sexiest Human Bracket: Spin-off edition R1

So from a comercial perspective, do you think either of the two "likely"(it would not shock me if the Rey movie geta canned down the road like so many other SW projects) star wars movies are likely to be successes?

No doubt the sequel to rise of skywalker is Dead on arrival, but I think the mandalorian movie might be able to.

Honestly i was shocked when Ahsoka(which i wasn't a particular big fan of) wasn't a smash hit with viewers just looking at the numbers. I guess apathy really has set in at this point.

But what do you, a guy who actually likes disney star wars think? Can the mandalorian movie beat the overall apathy, or will it be a bomb?

Well, let's all note that I'm terrible at predicting commercial success. I wouldn't have expected that keeping Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield out of the advertising would have resulted in the highest grossing Spider-Man movie of all time.

But I think both of these Star Wars movies have the chance of succeeding.

However, I think the Rey movie is a big gamble. The character and actress were well-received initially, and I honestly don't have a solid idea of how much of a failure 'Rise of Skywalker' was as far as general audiences go. Yeah, it didn't make the money that was expected of it and less than the previous sequel movies, but it still was an overall success financially. And the prequels demonstrated the phenomenon where the movies are accepted blindly by kids who grow up to tout them as artistic tour de forces. By the time this movie comes out, the 12-year-olds who ate up the loudness of RoS might be college students looking to reclaim something from their childhood.

On the other hand, RoS has become the face of Disney's hubris (even though 'Solo: ASWS' is more emblematic of the bland, sloppily written stuff we're getting these days and it came out first) and the cultural narrative around it casts it as an inarguable disaster. (I agree with that narrative, as a reminder. I think it's one of the worst movies I've ever seen.) And even before it's come out, this new Rey movie is landing in the crosshairs of the bigot-fueled culture wars stuff that's dominating youtube and utterly exhausting the sane half of the fandom. It's possible most people who might otherwise be enthusiastic will just not want to think about the movie with that kind of cloud around it.

So there's potential there for great gain, but also potential for great loss. Perhaps it will average out, a middling success that no one talks about afterward, the Star Wars equivalent of Ant-Man 2.

But there's no doubt in my mind that the Mando movie is going to be a big hit unless something goes very wrong (although I doubt that Grogu's name will still be in the final version of the title). People love Baby Yoda. They always have and they always will. It doesn't matter that Mando Season 3 got a mixed reaction; the main dynamic of the title characters is still beloved, the series provides a perfect formula for a blockbuster movie (specifically: pick a Kurosawa movie and remake it in space -- my vote is for 'Yojimbo'/'A Fistful of Dollars,' but 'The Hidden Fortress' would be a hilarious pick), and Pedro Pascal is currently pretty popular. This movie is as close to a guaranteed hit as is possible in movie-making.

My overall perspective is that people aren't tired of or apathetic to Star Wars. They're just bored of the typical Disney+ formula of a weakly-scripted miniseries that requires 200 hours of TV-watching homework in order to understand it and is mainly relying on a mix of nostalgia and good-for-TV special effects to sell itself. That reaction is hitting Marvel as well- and entertainment in general, given the performance of the entire movie industry this year. The initial success of 'The Mandalorian' is proof of that: when it was an episodic Space Western with a cute sidekick, people loved it, but when it tried to do real narrative stuff and positioned itself as a partial sequel to Clone Wars and Rebels, people cooled on it. And its big successful start was amidst both Solo and RoS underwhelming, so it bucked that trend very easily.

Basically, I see people proving themselves as discerning. They have their tastes and peculiarities, but it's becoming less and less about the brand. Even good actor performances aren't enough to save them if the actor has nothing solid to do.

I just wish I knew what brought this on!

Because 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' is a weakly-scripted mess of a movie that coasts on brand-recognition and gives great actors nothing much to do besides play the hits. And people loved that!

Basically, I might just know nothing.

It would be nice if these movies are good, though.

Seer would be a boba fan, I think. especially strawberry. besides that, her favorite drink is simple black tea with sugar.

Rory doesn’t like boba for the same reason as me, the texture. I feel like a chocolate malt would be their absolute favorite drink, or maybe a coke float. something with ice cream in it.

Liam/Lily probably enjoys an occasional boba. lychee or taro or whatever weird flavor blend the boba bar has on the menu. they mostly drink “coffee” (I use the term very loosely. we’re talking brewing espresso and using it as the water to brew a second pot of espresso)

Gavin doesn’t like boba. he’s a grumpy old man who doesn’t enjoy fun. except I think he’d be really into peppermint hot chocolate (not that he’d let anyone know that, of course). Malcolm/Mallory likes peach and blueberry boba best. their favorite drink is sweet iced tea

Gwyn has never had boba. They don’t really do the interacting-with-humanity thing. Sounds like something you might should introduce them to ;) pretty much the only non-alcoholic drink they have available where they’re from (besides water) is tea or fruit juice, but they’re very fond of apple cider.

Silas/Silvia likes chocolate or jasmine tea boba. favorite drink is either macha tea (prepared the traditional way), or a macha and white chocolate latte (decidedly less traditional, still tasty)

Seventy-five years ago today, on 19 May 1944, USS ENGLAND (DE-635) sank Japanese submarine I-16, the first of six submarines ENGLAND would destroy in May.

She honored John Charles England, born in Harris, Missouri, on 11 December 1920. He enlisted in the Naval Reserve on 6 September 1940, and was commissioned an ensign on 6 June 1941. On 3 September 1941, he reported for duty aboard the Battleship USS OKLAHOMA (BB-37). Ensign England was killed in action during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941, when OKLAHOMA was torpedoed and capsized.

His namesake, USS ENGLAND, was launched on 26 September 1943, by Bethlehem Steel Company in San Francisco, California. She was sponsored by Mrs. H. B. England, the mother of Ensign England. The ship was commissioned on 10 December 1943, with Cdr. William B. Pendleton in command.

ENGLAND arrived at Espiritu Santo on 12 March 1944, from San Francisco, Pearl Harbor, Funafuti, and Guadalcanal. She took up escort duty between Espiritu Santo and Guadalcanal, occasionally sailing to Noumea, and once to the Marshalls.

On 18 May 1944, with two other destroyer escorts, RABY and GEORGE, ENGLAND cleared Port Purvis on a hunt for Japanese submarines during a passage to Bougainville. Thanks, in part, to Executive Officer John Williamson’s previous duty teaching ASW tactics at Miami, during the next 8 days, she was to set an impressive record in antisubmarine warfare, unmatched by any other American ship.

She hunted down and sank 1-16 on 19 May, RO-106 on 22 May, RO-104 on 23 May, RO-116 on 24 May, and RO-108 on 26 May. In three of these cases, the other destroyers were in on the beginning of the actions, but the kill in every case was ENGLAND's alone. Quickly replenishing depth charges at Manus, ENGLAND was back in action on 31 May, to join with four other ships in sinking RO-105.

This superlative performance won for ENGLAND a Presidential Unit Citation, and the assurance from the Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral E. J. King, "There'll always be an ENGLAND in the United States Navy." His pledge was fulfilled 6 October 1960, when DLG-22 was assigned the name ENGLAND. Sadly, the promise has not been kept today.

Through the summer of 1944, ENGLAND sailed throughout the northern Solomons, providing the escort services necessary for the building up of bases.   She also continued to provide escort services that aided the preparations for the renewed assaults on Japanese territories to the north, and the provision of supplies to garrison forces on the islands of the southwest Pacific.

In August, she underwent repairs at Manus, and between 24 September and 15 October, voyaged from the Treasury Islands to Sydney, Australia. From the Treasuries she sailed, guarding a convoy to Hollandia, where she arrived on 18 October.  Then, on the 26th, she got underway on the first of two voyages to escort reinforcement convoys to newly invaded Leyte. She returned to Manus and local escort duty on 2 December.

From 2 January 1945, ENGLAND escorted convoys between Manus and Ulithi, the major base for operations of the carrier task forces, and later to be the staging point for the assaults on Iwo Jima and Okinawa. The escort vessel sailed to Kossol Roads in February, bringing in a convoy later routed on to the Philippines, and then resumed her duty on the Manus-Ulithi sea lanes. She sailed from Ulithi on 23 March for the pre-invasion bombardment of Okinawa.  

Then she returned to Ulithi to join the screen of two cruisers, guarding them back to Okinawa to join the 5th Fleet just after the initial assault on 1 April. Between 6 and 17 April, she voyaged to Saipan, screening empty transports. Next, she took up a screening and patrol station north of the Kerama Retto.

On 9 May 1945, while on station, ENGLAND was attacked by three Japanese dive-bombers. Gunfire from the ship blew off one wing of the first suicider, but failed to deflect the kamikaze from its one-way mission. The plane crashed into ENGLAND’s starboard side, at the main deck, below the bridge. A heavy explosion soon followed, and a burst of smoke and flame engulfed the destroyer escort's pilothouse and bridge. ENGLAND raced along out of control.

The minesweeper, VIGILANCE (AM-324), rang up full ahead and went to ENGLAND’s assistance. ENGLAND was brought under control and stopped, about four miles east of where she had been kamikazed. At 1920, VIGILANCE pulled alongside the burning destroyer escort.   VIGILANCE found heavy fires blazing from the forward mess hall, up through the wardroom, forward 20-millimeter clipping room, radio room, pilothouse, and flying bridge. Afterwards, when ENGLAND’s fires were under control, VIGILANCE took the destroyer escort under tow.

Underway for the northern entrance of Kerama Retto at 2135, the two ships arrived at their destination two hours later. ENGLAND’s total casualties were horrific, with 37 of her men killed or missing, and 25 wounded. When ready for sea, ENGLAND sailed on to Leyte, where she received temporary repairs, putting her in shape for the long voyage home. On 16 July 1945, she arrived in Philadelphia for permanent repairs and conversion to a high-speed transport.

The end of the war, however, halted this work. She was decommissioned on 15 October 1945, and sold for scrap on 26 November 1946. This was the end of one of the great destroyer escorts.

Rotel RSX-1550 – Receiver “Đa Nhiệm”

HFVN – Rotel RSX-1550 là một trong không nhiều receiver có thể đáp ứng tốt nhu cầu nghe nhạc và xem phim. Bên cạnh ưu thế về chất lượng linh kiện và thiết kế sang trọng, RSX-1550 còn cho phép người dùng dễ dàng nâng cấp từ cấu hình 5.1 thành 7.1 kênh, tạo nên hệ thống “receiver+power” rất được ưa chuộng trên thế giới.

KẾT CẤU KỸ THUẬT 

RSX-1550 thuộc dòng Series 15. Receiver này có nhiều cải tiến về kỹ thuật và kiểu dáng bên ngoài trong khi giá bán khá hợp lý. Do đó, model này đã giúp Ro-tel tạo “hit” cho dòng sản phẩm hometheater như re-ciever, pre processor, poweramp đa kênh của hãng.

Thừa hưởng từ triết lý “Balance Design Concept” nổi tiếng, RSX-1550 tạo ấn tượng với người dùng bằng thiết kế sang trọng. Vỏ máy chắc chắn với nhôm dày được phay xước. Cạnh máy bo tròn mềm mại. Mặt trước có thiết kế đơn giản hơn. Máy sở hữu màn hình hiển thị nhỏ nằm ở giữa cùng núm chỉnh âm lượng. Thay vì dùng cửa lật, RSX-1550 để lộ toàn bộ 32 nút bấm tròn nhỏ được gia công tinh tế chia thành 4 hàng trải đều hai bên.

Như thiết bị hai kênh cao cấp, RSX-1550 trang bị công tắc nguồn ở phía sau cùng 6 cổng trigger cho phép “kích” nguồn cùng lúc các thiết bị kết nối. Với 5 ngõ HDMI version 1.3 (gồm 4in/1out), RSX-1550 đáp ứng khá đủ nhu cầu kết nối cùng lúc nhiều thiết bị HD. Một cổng kết nối RJ-45 8 chân có tên Computer I/O dành cho điều khiển và cài đặt chức năng của RSX-1550 bằng máy tính thông qua phần mềm do Rotel cung cấp, RSX-1550 hỗ trợ kết nối đa vùng, trang bị ngõ pre-out với 8 kênh theo setup 7.1. Năm cọc loa binding-post được bố trí theo khoảng cách nhất định, thuận tiện khi bắt dây loa, đặc biệt là các cáp có đầu càng cua lớn. Thay vì sử dụng cọc kim loại tương đồng với thiết kế của vỏ máy, Rotel chỉ trang bị cho RSX-1550 loại cọc nhựa thông thường.

RSX-1550 được đặt tên là receiver 7.1 nhưng thực chất ampli chỉ sở hữu phần công suất dành cho 5 kênh, mỗi kênh đạt tối đa 100W chạy class AB. Khi phần khuếch đại của 5 kênh cùng hoạt động, mỗi kênh sẽ hoạt động công suất tối đa 75W/kênh. Ưu điểm lớn nhất của RSX-1550 là trang bị giải mã âm thanh pre-processor 7.1 kênh bên trong, chỉ cần bổ sung thêm một powe-ampli 2 kênh là có thể nâng cấp thành dàn 7.1 hoàn chỉnh.

Quan sát phần ruột máy, linh kiện được sắp xếp khá gọn và khoa học. Bộ 5 cặp sò Sanken (2SA 1368/2SC 3519) đặt trên tản nhiệt riêng bố trí phía sau mặt máy vừa có nhiệm vụ tản nhiệt, vừa tạo khoảng cách giúp chống nhiễu giữa màn hình LED phía trước và bo xử lý hình ảnh/âm thanh. Hệ thống tụ lọc gồm hai tụ 15.000uF và biến thế nguồn cũng được lắp tản nhiệt, đảm bảo hoạt động ổn định trong thời gian dài.

RSX-1550 hỗ trợ hoàn chỉnh các giải mã âm thanh surround mới nhất, bao gồm Dolby True HD, DTS HD Master Audio, Dolby Digi-tal Plus và DTS HD Audio. Đặc biệt, Rotel còn mang đến chuẩn giải mã riêng eXtra Sur-roung (SX) cho phép mở rộng các định dạng surround 5.1 cũ thành 7.1 bằng cách giả lập thêm hai kênh center back. Tín hiệu digital từ bộ vi xử lý âm thanh hay từ các ngõ vào khác sẽ được giải mã qua 4 chip D/A của Bur-rBrown DSD 1791. Với vi xử lý hình ảnh, RSX-1550 có ưu thế hơn các receiver khác nhờ trang bị chip của hãng Faroudja danh tiếng, cho phép upscale hình ảnh lên đến mức tối đa 1080p/60Hz.

PHỐI GHÉP VÀ TRÌNH DIỄN 

Dường như được thiết kế riêng cho dân chơi chuyên nghiệp, các audiophile khó tính và những người muốn tinh chỉnh hệ thống âm thanh theo nhu cầu riêng, RSX-1550 không trang bị microphone đi kèm cùng phần mềm tự hiệu chỉnh và set-up âm học phòng nghe như các receiver khác. Để hiệu chỉnh các thông số như: loại loa, tần số cắt, delay (khoảng cách từ vị trí người nghe đến các loa), âm lượng… chúng tôi phải chỉnh tay từ menu on-screen và kiểm tra hiệu quả âm thanh bằng tai.

Chúng tôi chọn dòng loa B&W CM series với các model: CM7(front), CM1 (surround), Cm Center (center) và loa subwoofer ASW10CM kết hợp với đầu Blu-ray Pioneer LX-71 và dây dẫn Nordost dòng Blue Heaven. Việc kết nối diễn ra nhanh chóng, tiếp đến là hiệu chỉnh các thông số về loa, đặt tần số cắt, đo khoảng cách chỉnh delay … Chỉ với 5 kênh công suất 72W chạy class AB, liệu RSX-1550 có khả năng thể hiện sống động và mạnh mẽ những pha hành động trong phòng nghe 38m2?

Chúng tôi chọn hai đĩa Blu-ray Eagle Eye và Tranformer – Revenge of he Fallen. Hai phím nặng ký, chuyên trị những bài test đòi hỏi độ động cao và khả năng tái tạo các hiệu ứng của âm thanh đa kênh. Trong đó, Eagle Eye là xuất phẩm nổi tiếng với những pha hành động nghẹt thở của Dreamwoorks. Với những pha rượt đuổi trên chiếc Porsche Cayenne, các pha va đập giữa các xe, tiếng vỡ kính được RSX-1550 thể hiện rất “sống”. Đặc biệt, độ chi tiết và không gian, âm thanh sắc bén, mạnh mẽ, có chiều sâu khiến chúng tôi cảm nhận rất rõ hướng âm thanh từ các phía. Ấn tượng nhất là pha “Mắt đại bàng” giải thoát cho nhân vật nam chính bằng cách dùng cần cẩu đâm thẳng vào tòa nhà. Tiếng vỡ của bê tong tái hiện rất thật, với âm trầm sâu, tạo độ rền mạnh.

Transformer-Revenge of the Fallen là đĩa thử hoàn hảo về độ động của các kênh. Reveiver phải có khả năng cung cấp công suất tốt đều và ổn định cho các kênh mới thể hiện thành công những pha hành động trong phim này. Đạo diễn Micheal Bay đã thành công khi chọn Kim Tự Tháo Ai Cập là nơi diễn ra cuộc hỗn chiến giữa binh lính và các siêu người máy. Nhóm hiệu ứng âm thanh đã tạo nên âm trầm đặc biệt khi những quả tên lửa đâm xuống sa mạc cát trước khi nổ tung. RSX-1550 trình diễn rất tốt những hiệu quả âm thanh đặc biệt này. Nó cũng tái tạo được các hướng không gian âm thanh tốt với độ chi tiết cao. Cả một không gian hỗn tạp trong màn ảnh với đủ loại tiếng động từ mọi phía được tái hiện đầy đủ.

7.1 VÀ 2.0 ĐIỀU TỐT 

Sau khi nhận thấy nhac nền của hai bộ phim được trình diễn rất hay, chúng tôi quyết định tang thêm hai kênh cho RSX-1550 để thử nghiệm trọn vẹn chuẩn 7.1. Power Rotel RB-1562 được dùng để “đẩy” hai loa front (powe-eramp 2 kênh này chạy class D, công suất 100W/kênh). Về set-up loa, chúng tôi trang bị thêm đôi B&W CM1 và thay loa front thành Dynaudio Contour S3.4. Để thiết lập hệ thống 7.1, người chơi cần đến hướng dẫn sử dụng để kết nối “Redirect”. Chức năng Redirect được chọn trong menu Default, cần chuyển ngõ ra Front sang Center Back channel. Hiệu chỉnh này cho phép đổi tín hiệu hai loa cen-ter back trái/phải đến cọc lọc front (chức năng Redirect còn cho phép chuyển đổi tín hiệu loa front thành tín hiệu âm thanh dành cho kết nối đa phòng). Dynaudio Contour S3.4 sẽ đóng vai trò làm loa fron, với nguồn tín hiệu lấy từ ngõ Pre out Front qua kết nối power Rotel RB-1562, vị trí loa cũn được sắp xếp lại. Hai loa surround đặt ở ngang tầm người nghe. Hai loa center back left và right đặt ở tường sau và treo cao hơn loa surround khoảng 30cm.

Vẫn với ai đĩa Blu-ray Golden Eye và Transformer – Revenge of the Fallen, nhưng lần này hệ thống trở nên mạnh mẽ hơn nhiều. Sự góp mặt của cặp loa Contour S3.4 khiến phần nền trở nên sống động và chi tiết. Hiệu ứng surround lên rõ rệt về không gian, đặc biệt là các hiệu ứng theo chiều thẳng đứng như: đường bay của tên lửa từ trên xuống… không  gian như giãn nở thêm ở chiều dọc.

Ngoài hiệu ứng surround sống động, điều mà chúng tôi mong đợi nhất ở hệ thống này là khả năng trình diễn âm thanh 2 kênh. Bởi việc xây dựng hệ thống đáp ứng tốt nhu cầu thưởng thức đa kênh lẫn stereo sẽ góp phần giảm chi phí đầu tư thiết bị và không gian set-up. Chúng tôi bố trí thêm một đầu đọc 2 kênh Moon CD.5 của Sim Audio (Canada), đóng vai trò phát tín hiệu CD. Như vậy, set-up 2.0 lúc này sẽ gồm đầu phát Moon CD.5, tiền khuếch đại tận dụng phần preamp của RSX-1550, poweramp RB-1562 và loa Dynaudio Contour S3.4

Với track Home trong CD It’s Tome của giọng nam Michael Bublé, bộ dàn stereo này truyền đặt rất chuẩn chất giọng ấm áp và ngọt với ca từ đơn giản thể hiện mong ước đơn giản I Wanna Come Home trên nền guitar rõ ràng và chi tiết.

Với lối trình diễn ngầu hứng trên nền jazz đương đại được thu âm với chất lượng cao, các CD của Fourplay luôn được tìm thấy trên kệ đĩa của các audiophiles. Album The Best of Fourplay được chọn làm đĩa test tiếp theo. Max-O-Man, track hay nhất trong album có lối trình diễn “bốc lửa” phối hợp với nhiều nhạc cụ như: contra bass, guitar điện, pi-ano… được hệ thống thể hiện khá mạnh mẽ, độ động cao và âm hình tái hiện rất tốt. Dù không thể so sánh với các hệ thống thuần stereo, nhưng những gì mà bộ dàn trình diễn sẽ khiến các audiophile khó tính và những gnười cho rằng không thể dung hòa 2 kênh và đa kênh phải ngạc nhiên.

Nên tảng triết lý thiết kế Balance Design cùng hệ thống linh kiện cao cấp được chọn lựa kỹ lưỡng từ nguồn, tụ, bán dẫn, chip xử lý DSP, xử lý hình ảnh, âm thanh đã giúp Rotel RSX-1550 có thể đóng tốt cả hai “vai”: receiver đa kênh à preamp stereo chất lượng tốt. Khai thác, ưu điểm này, người dùng có thể tạo nên một set-up đa nhiệm tiện lợi với chi phí hợp lý.

“Rebels” is to “Rogue One” as “The Clone Wars” is to the Prequels

Guys, I just realized that Rebels mirrors Rogue One (or is it vise-versa since Rebels came first?) in the same way The Clone Wars mirrors the movies.

Think about it.

The Clone Wars starts out like a typical (if abridged) Star Wars movie, with the Star Wars title and the announcer acting similarly to the typical title scroll. The Clone Wars also still follows the main Star Wars prequel characters and keeps their lives and struggles as the main focus.

Meanwhile, Rebels starts out with an opening scene, to give viewers a feel for the episode to come, and the title comes after. It doesn’t have a crawl because it’s not Star Wars but A Star Wars Story. This is exemplified by it not being as involved in the main stories of the movies, focusing instead on a small band of Rebels, with main and side characters from the movies acting as side characters or cameos in the overall story. This is also supported by the fact that Rogue One is the first Star Wars movie to reference Rebels in any way.

Hiệu chỉnh này cho phép đổi tín hiệu hai loa cen-ter back trái/phải đến cọc lọc front (chức năng Redirect còn cho phép chuyển đổi tín hiệu loa front thành tín hiệu âm thanh dành cho kết nối đa phòng). Dynaudio Contour S3.4 sẽ đóng vai trò làm loa fron, với nguồn tín hiệu lấy từ ngõ Pre out Front qua kết nối power Rotel RB-1562, vị trí loa cũn được sắp xếp lại. Hai loa surround đặt ở ngang tầm người nghe. Hai loa center back left và right đặt ở tường sau và treo cao hơn loa surround khoảng 30cm.

Vẫn với ai đĩa Blu-ray Golden Eye và Transformer – Revenge of the Fallen, nhưng lần này hệ thống trở nên mạnh mẽ hơn nhiều. Sự góp mặt của cặp loa Contour S3.4 khiến phần nền trở nên sống động và chi tiết. Hiệu ứng surround lên rõ rệt về không gian, đặc biệt là các hiệu ứng theo chiều thẳng đứng như: đường bay của tên lửa từ trên xuống… không  gian như giãn nở thêm ở chiều dọc.

Ngoài hiệu ứng surround sống động, điều mà chúng tôi mong đợi nhất ở hệ thống này là khả năng trình diễn âm thanh 2 kênh. Bởi việc xây dựng hệ thống đáp ứng tốt nhu cầu thưởng thức đa kênh lẫn stereo sẽ góp phần giảm chi phí đầu tư thiết bị và không gian set-up. Chúng tôi bố trí thêm một đầu đọc 2 kênh Moon CD.5 của Sim Audio (Canada), đóng vai trò phát tín hiệu CD. Như vậy, set-up 2.0 lúc này sẽ gồm đầu phát Moon CD.5, tiền khuếch đại tận dụng phần preamp của RSX-1550, poweramp RB-1562 và loa Dynaudio Contour S3.4

Với track Home trong CD It’s Tome của giọng nam Michael Bublé, bộ dàn stereo này truyền đặt rất chuẩn chất giọng ấm áp và ngọt với ca từ đơn giản thể hiện mong ước đơn giản I Wanna Come Home trên nền guitar rõ ràng và chi tiết.

Với lối trình diễn ngầu hứng trên nền jazz đương đại được thu âm với chất lượng cao, các CD của Fourplay luôn được tìm thấy trên kệ đĩa của các audiophiles. Album The Best of Fourplay được chọn làm đĩa test tiếp theo. Max-O-Man, track hay nhất trong album có lối trình diễn “bốc lửa” phối hợp với nhiều nhạc cụ như: contra bass, guitar điện, pi-ano… được hệ thống thể hiện khá mạnh mẽ, độ động cao và âm hình tái hiện rất tốt. Dù không thể so sánh với các hệ thống thuần stereo, nhưng những gì mà bộ dàn trình diễn sẽ khiến các audiophile khó tính và những gnười cho rằng không thể dung hòa 2 kênh và đa kênh phải ngạc nhiên.

Nên tảng triết lý thiết kế Balance Design cùng hệ thống linh kiện cao cấp được chọn lựa kỹ lưỡng từ nguồn, tụ, bán dẫn, chip xử lý DSP, xử lý hình ảnh, âm thanh đã giúp Rotel RSX-1550 có thể đóng tốt cả hai “vai”: receiver đa kênh à preamp stereo chất lượng tốt. Khai thác, ưu điểm này, người dùng có thể tạo nên một set-up đa nhiệm tiện lợi với chi phí hợp lý.
