Roswell, New Mexico Femslash Exchange 2024
Save a horse, ride a cowgirl!
Join us as the weather heats up to celebrate pride with the women of Roswell, New Mexico. Get yourself a glass of lemonade and settle in as you sign up for the exchange and get ready to have a good time as we celebrate this show's unabashed queerness.
Details:
Each participant will be assigned to create a gift for someone, and will receive a gift in turn. Gifts may be fic (at least 2000 words), art (at least 1 drawing/edit), gifset (at least 3 gifs), fanmix (at least 8 songs), or fanvid (at least 2 minutes or a full length song).
Assignments will be anonymous - please have your ask box set to receive anonymous asks in case your gift creator has any questions for you!
Gifts may not be created using generative AI.
As this is a femslash exchange, all works must have as their main focus a romantic and/or sexual relationship between two or more of the women of Roswell, New Mexico.
Dates:
Signups close: Sunday April 21st (midnight Roswell time)

One month check in: Sunday May 12th

RNM Bingo Jan 14 - Feb 14, 2023: How To & Rules
How To Play Comment Bingo in 3 Easy Steps
Choose a bingo card: Your format options are Google Doc or PNG. Within those, you have 3 layout options that all have the same squares, just arranged differently (and each of those have three cute backgrounds, so pick your favorite!) ("there has to be three," as Max says).
Fill out your card: use your bingo card to track what RNM works you’ve read and commented on, including author and title. As you go, keep a list of the links to share as a rec post on Tumblr.
Post or submit on Tumblr: Use the tag #rnmbingo23 #rnmbingo and mention @rnmbingo on your own Tumblr or Submit a bingo card to us directly.
Everyone who submits a completed card in any (or all) of the 4 categories (see Rules) is eligible to win a prize! At the end of the month, the Mods will draw winners randomly from the list of total participants. See Prizes below for what you could win!

To be eligible to win a prize, bingo boards must be complete one of the following configurations:
Regular Bingo (a complete line in any direction)

All Comment Bingo participants who submit a board before February 14th, 2023 will be entered into a drawing to win one of several additional prizes:

For all winners of the drawing, the organizers will each leave a happy comment for the writer of the winner’s choice (you can choose yourself!). In case one of our prize-creators above needs to bow out, pinch prizes offered by @maeglinthebold (2k fic or cover art).

Limit one prize per person. Mods of the event are not eligible to win a prize (but prize creators who are not Mods are!). Winners will be announced no later than February 18th, 2023.
Rules
Comments must be posted between Jan 14th and February 14th, 2023 (inclusive) to count toward a winning bingo card and prize drawing eligibility. All bingo cards must be submitted by tagging this account before midnight (anywhere in the world) on February 14th.
Every square must have a different work. Multiple submissions of Bingo cards (for example, line and star) may include repeat works.
Individual users, not bingo boards, will be entered into the prize drawing, so multiple board submissions count as new/additional Recs but don't count as more entries into the drawing.
Comments must be on Roswell New Mexico, RNM RPF, OG Roswell or Roswell High works. Crossovers with any of these are eligible. The works you read may be on any platform (AO3, Tumblr, Fanfiction.net, etc.) Comment Bingo is not limited to text works only! Feel free to comment on art, gif sets, meta, etc.!

Looking for Remix events
A few years ago I participated in a Stucky Remix event (@stuckyremix) and I really enjoyed it. I like the idea of an event centred around existing works.
