next Yeah… I’m hyperfixating on this AU idea and I NEED to share it. It doesn’t actually mostly focus on Donnie, (mostly Leo and anther character >:) but this was the best opening I could think of. I’m a sucker for Good Dad Splinter ever since I watched TMNT ‘03. That rat was gifted sapience and his immediate instinct was kindness. I love that for him.

Rise Splinter lived a rollercoaster of a life, but as a Hollywood star he remembered the names of all his stunt guys and coworkers, and as a prisoner he cared for the rat that shared his cell. His sons are very close and physically affectionate, I think that says something about how he cares? That’s just how I like to headcanon him :)

It’s interesting to explore the idea that a seemingly monstrous transformation is what pushed him to be a kinder human

I will admit, it's a little embarrassing since you can easily see the patterns of what I've been listening to for the past year or two. I swear I listen to more than just videogame OSTs, these songs just jive well with the story and I often find lyrics distracting when brainstorming scenes. Regardless, the music I listen to is such an important part of my creative process and some of these songs really defined the scenes I now have locked in my head. So I figured it was only fair to give them the credit they're due.

I will continue to add to this playlist, and will note in comic updates when one of these songs is applicable!

Little sunset duo comic I really wanted to make because you know, Mikey deserves Raph's praise and recognition as much as Leo does (honestly, they all do). Given their relationship and Raph's habit of babying Mikey, I think he'd be proud of his little brother for what he accomplished on Staten Island.

(Also, I know Raph is a leftie, but for the sake of this comic let's all just pretend he's ambidextrous okay)

Donnie would absolutely blow a fuse if someone ruined their books with how sacred he was to that mint condition comic, and I’m sure Mikey thinks cooking is an art. Cross either of them and it’s hell to pay!

I read a lot of book series that had been handed down to me by my siblings, but you could really tell whose they were before based on their condition. One sibling left foodstains and dog ears, another left spine breaks and ripped paperbacks, and the final would threaten my life if I so much as dented a page. Such is life with shared things

I guess you could say those books were well loved, for better or for worse lol

Like in canon, in the AU Draxum decides to team up with the Foot Clan. His sons have some... worries about the whole thing, but as long as it benefits their greater mission they'll go along with it!

Once again, Leo is me, except I don’t bite people….even though I want to.
