its really tough to rehome a pet for so many reasons, im so sorry u have to go through that :(

i know it sounds kind of cynical but the thing i kept checking when we had to rehome one of our dogs(due to conflict with our older dog) was that the people we were considering werent parents of younger kids(under 16ish). it sounds kinda mean to not want him to go to them but i was so worried that he would become one of those dogs which kids beg for, love for a week, then ignore forever, yknow?

he ended up going to a really sweet older woman to be her walking buddy and she still sends us pictures, he looks so happy :)

Nahhh it’s understandable because when I volunteer at the shelter I’ve noticed people adopting pets on the weekend and returning them later the same week 🧍‍♂️ Myla got returned three times before we got her too
