He's so beautiful and you'd think as the Heron Tribe they'd be gentle and timid creatures BUT Reyson is full of RAGE. He's a Hawk programed into Heron skin. Even so, he'd get sick trying to eat meat to toughen up and breaks his own bones punching a sicko creeper who tried to objectify him. Also his singing voice is beautiful and heals forests.

I love him and he should win. He's got such an unexpected character gap, the dissonance between the traditional Heron demeanor and his fiery brazen nature that you wouldn't expect from such a graceful clan.

was thinking about reyson (my beloved) again, and then an epiphany hit me.

alfred & reyson are very similar, character concept wise.

while their personalities are quite different, they are similar in a few things... [spoilers ahead]

homeland's association with 'green' nature. IDK really how to word it, but how firene is full of lush fields and such, and herons resided in serenes forest. both homelands were associated with peace, and would eventually go aflame.

desire to overcome their physical nature. this one was the key thing that made me think about their similarities. reyson's 'issue' comes from his own physicality/biology of being a heron laguz. heron laguz are pretty fragile. reyson simply punching oliver that didn't give serious damage to the latter, resulted in reyson fracturing the bones in his hand. even bad vibes can make him sick... alfred on the other hand is held back by his illness that he's had ever since he was a child. both characters wish to overcome this, and both have a similar 'ideal' they desire to achieve...muscles. alfred is allllll about muscles and training. most of his supports are about this fact. reyson is a bit more lowkey about it, but it's clear he thinks of tibarn as his ideal. "I wanted so much to be like Tibarn. Big body, strong wings…" (from feh, but i know the 'big body strong wings' is a thing from the actual duology somewhere, i just can't remember where). reyson even tries eating like tibarn, which almost gets him killed. both reyson & alfred cannot achieve their desired state because of their 'physical nature', but they do try.

related to the last point kinda, but both are noted to act atypical of their expected decorum (side note i really like the word decorum idk why). reyson is noted to not act typical of herons. wanting revenge & violence at first at those who burned his home down, acting more aggressive. it makes sense when you consider who he lived with after the serenes massacre... it's also noted how rafiel acts like what's expected of herons, which is contrasted by how reyson acts...well not. for alfred, he is described as 'a barbarian in prince's clothing' by céline. his diamant c support also had diamant doing prince™ things, and alfred's all like "what's your fav muscle 😁."

their designs are also very (very) pretty & on the more feminine side, but their ideals lay more 'typically masculine'. reyson has an androgynous appearance, while alfred has flower motifs + frills and such. these contrasts with reyson's more 'fiery' & 'aggressive' personality, and alfred's thing with muscles (both things are typically associated with masculinity.)

and uhhh yeah. mini analysis over! i've always loved reyson, and alfred just got better the more i got to know him. like i said, they do differ in personality in a lot of ways, but it's cool how two characters with similar setups can be so distinctive.

My favs of my work let's go

Okay this might be weird but while I'm so busy with other projects and sort of letting my writing battery recharge (getting small things done here and there but not stressing about it overly), I wanted to reshare some of my personal favs of my own work, just to like, idk... hype myself up and congratulate myself for once lmao. We creatives need to be a bit self-indulgent from time to time.

So yeah, if you're bored while I get my shit together and write again, maybe take a peak at these, or wander around my masterlists in my pinned post for something I might have done in the past for a fav of yours.

FE3H

Lorenz & Ignatz & Reader threesome - starting with what I suspect will be a trend with these because I'm a contrarian at heart, so when I realize a character I love isn't popular, I double and triple down and become determined to write them the hot, hot smut they deserve

Claude - Arranged Marriage - I really enjoyed doing an AU, and I'd def love to do more of them in the future. Plus Claude is the most fun and interesting of the main lords fight me about it.

Lorenz - Arranged Marriage - okay last Lorenz one but........ I'm just saying, he's a good boy y'all just can't acknowledge a glow-up when you see one.

Felix & Sylvain & Reader threesome - this is a short one but I just love the vibe and the dynamic between these lads it was so fun to write.

Seteth - Guilty Masturbation - I'm just such a sucker for repressed men dealing with their persistent lusts sorry not sorry

Seteth - Reader gets Aphrodesiac'd - okay I'm happy with this piece but also it holds a special place in my heart because for some reason, the porn bots are CONSTANTLY liking this thing specifically and I have no earthly idea why, they're just drawn to it.

Okay just one more Seteth thing it's the Priest x Succubus one - which I'm super happy with and I still sometimes think about writing a continuation for it because priest kink goes brrrrrrrrr

Things other than FE3H

Volke (FE 9/10) messy hookup - Volke is such an absolute man and it was such a joy to have an excuse to write him. Fandoms as a whole need to thirst for more sexy grown ass adults.

Reyson (FE 9/10) in heat - though this is kind of tied with the in heat one I did about Tibarn, which I also love. Bird men in heat..... that's what's up.

Kaeya (Genshin) w/ praise kink - Kaeya def remains my Genshin fav, and no amount of "Hoyo finally figuring out how to model an adult male body years into the game's run" will change that.

Luxord (Kingdom Heart) consensual non-con - it's just so rare that I get to write for my Org XIII lovelies and it's just so fun to write sex dialogue for such a resolutely sexless series lmao

Kurama (YYH) giving oral - I've written quite a lot for Kurama at this point (on here, mostly shorter drabbles and headcanons) and it's still always a pleasure, and I'm particularly fond of the subtle playfulness in this piece.

OCs! Shaeliegh and Terry - angsty hookup - I had SO much fun writing OC stuff for once and it's totally fine that others aren't as inclined to be into it, but I personally think it's some of my best work and enjoy rereading it frequently~

PoR JP/EN script differences overview: (Part 6) ch #16 - ch #17

The Oliver and herons show.

Chapter 16

1) Oliver appears prominently. There is nothing much about him except one detail: as we start to notice in the chapter before this one, the localisation liberally sprinkles "fat" and its synonyms into speech of every other character as a means to insult Oliver. The original script doesn't have it even once.

2) Sanaki debriefing Ike/Tormod. There is a small detail that wouldn't be noticed if the translation choice wasn't tonally dissonant.

Ike: You want to expose the depravity of the inner circles of power. But you don't want the general public to know that the majority of the senate is involved in slavery. Sanaki: I thought you were as untutored as a wild monkey. You're actually quite bright.

EN!Ike: I didn't figure it all out by myself. I have companions whom I trust with my life. They helped.

"Trust with my life"? It was a simple consultation, not a life and death situation.

JP!Ike: ……I'm not thinking about it alone, you know. I have companion(s) to rely on.

What makes the original choice notable is 頼りになる ("reliable"), because Ike uses it again in Epilogue vs Sephiran:

JP!Ike: I've always had people by my side that I could rely on. That's why… it was possible to do it.

And, to lesser extent, it's the qualifier that Soren uses in his A support with Ike instead of saying "I have no friends".

JP!Soren: I have… only you to rely on.

I'm not sure if it's the same "reliable" as in "Likes: Reliable people" in Soren's official profile, but — it's likely. All in all, it seems somewhat significant for the game.

3) Muarim☆. Personally, I dislike it when Tellius translation dances around the word "love" when it should have used it, because it's a major motif in FE9/10.

EN!Ike: I know I don't know everything that's going on, but you shouldn't be trying to push Tormod away. He's dedicated to you […]

JP!Ike: I don't know what your reasons are, but don't force Tormod, who adores you so much, away from you.

Lesser detail from the same base convo points out once again how polite Muarim was trained to be. He is the only person we recruit who uses the standard "Nice to meet you" phrase and Ike replies with a standard polite phrase as well.

EN!Muarim: "May our friendship be true and enduring." JP!Muarim: "From now on, I'm looking forward to working with you."

4) Titania goes sneaking around Oliver's mansion with Mist for a reason.

EN!Titania: If we get stopped, we can talk our way out of it. JP!Titania: If something happens, women can talk their way out of anything…

5) Devdan has recruitment dialogue that is largely repeated. The only thing to note is that Soren is visibly pissed off (with ellipses) when Devdan calls him a kid twice. Sothe uses the impolite "you" on him, while Soren uses the polite "you", Rolf and Mist use "uncle" and Tormod uses "old man" plus the same "you" as Sothe. Devdan alternately calls himself a man of honor, an ally of justice (twice), an ally of kids, and once he says he will do his best.

6) Oliver says "shit" (just before Ike and co discover Reyson). It's official.

Chapter 17

1) The original script tells us that Oliver is somehow the dead last of senators.

JP!Soren: Duke Tanas is still a senator, even if the last/most junior in position… He must still have a large number of private troops with him. Surprisingly, he's a tricky opponent…

2) EN script uses "seid magic" to describe singing of herons. That is a decent choice, because JP script says "herons are galdrar, meaning singers of galdr", which is complete bullshit. "Galdrar" is the plural form of "galdr" — thankfully the localisers knew as much.

3) Unfortunately, FE10 didn't happen yet.

EN!Nasir: Herons are highly attuned to the forces of balance. JP!Nasir: They are a race that is as close to "Order" as possible.

And later.

EN!Tibarn: You must not let yourself be ruled by despair! Each member of the heron tribe is an embodiment of balance! Do this, and you warp your very existence! JP!Tibarn: Don't let your feeling of hatred take over! You heron people belong to Order… and if you violate that, your existence will be distorted!

4) Speaking of Reyson, he is getting murdery.

EN!Reyson: With permission or without, I do what I must! It is retribution for genocide! Retribution for this forest! JP!Reyson: Even if I don't get your permission, I will do it! It's my clan's revenge…! The forest surely wants it too!

6) Still speaking of herons, after they sing the revival galdr the translation says "heart of the forest has returned", but the original calls it "lords of the forest have returned".

7) Boyd making fun of Mist (about Leanne's weight) and getting a well-deserved kick is even more deserved originally.

EN!Boyd: Did you know you're two times heavier than she is!? I'm glad I don't have to carry you around! It'd be like wearing an extra suit of armor! JP!Boyd: You're "twice" as heavy as that white girl. From what I can see, your hips and thighs are suspiciously…
