hello! i’ve been trying to find a drarry fic. what i can remember is that it is set in 8th year and drarry are roommates. it’s post war and draco is always cold as a result from crucio damage during the war. one scene from the fic i can remember is that draco attempts to cut his hair but it results badly and harry finds him in the tub in their room. (draco lives). another thing i remember is that draco was mute but started to slowly speak as the fic went on

Shakespeare Weekend

Edmond Malone’s (1741-1812) The Plays and Poems of William Shakspeare, in ten volumes, published in 1790 and printed by Henry Baldwin, begins its tenth volume with a full-page frontispiece of the 3rd Earl of Southampton, Henry Wriothesley (1573-1624) followed by a dedication to him written by Shakespeare and several verses written in Wriothesley’s memory by Shakespeare’s contemporaries before opening with Venus and Adonis. The frontispiece was engraved by William Sharp (1749-1824) from a painting by Dutch artist Michiel Janszoon van Mierevelt (1566-1641).
A second dedication to Wriothesley by Shakespeare appears before The Rape of Lucrece. While extravagant dedications were not unusual at the time, several scholars speculate about the relationship between the two men. English essayist Nathan Drake (1766-1836) proposed that the Earl was the Fair Youth of Shakespeare’s Sonnets and English poet Willam Davenant (1606-1668) chalked the adoration up to Wriothesley patronizing Shakespeare’s work.
Volume Ten concludes with a thorough appendix, including sheet music Malone inserted at the request of a “musical friend”, and a full glossarial index.

Fender Bender
Tiva meet cute AU, requested here.
Word count: 1606 (it was half that when I started editing, something got out of hand)
.
As the green light changed to yellow, Tony slowed down, smoothly coming to a full stop. He revved the engine—hard to resist after driving around in a Japanese rental for a few months—and grinned widely, the roar of the revised 1967 engine music to his ears.
In a split second, the sound of screeching tires, instantly followed by the crumpling of metal, wiped the grin of his face. Instinctively, he hit the brake pedal as if his life depended on it, knuckles turning white as his fingers gripped the steering wheel like a vice. The Mustang jerked forward, and his whole body tensed as the seat belt snapped him back into the leather seat. Once the car came to a full stop, heartbeat pounding in his ears, he slammed the steering wheel with both hands. “Oh, come on!”
Unbuckling the seat belt with one hand while opening the door with the other, heat flushed through his body. “One week,” he grumbled, all but jumping out of the car, anxious to inspect the damage, and give the idiot that slammed into him a piece of his mind.
Spotting the white of a deflated airbag through the windshield of the other car, and movement of the driver’s door, Tony assumed the other driver most likely was not severely injured either.
From the corner of his eye he spotted the back of his car, stopped dead in his tracks, and ran both hands through his hair. “Are you kidding me!”
Taking a closer look, it became clear the front of the other car seemed to have folded itself around his Mustang’s rear fender. The crumpled hood of the Mini was about five inches higher than it should be.
Tony stood up straight. A Mini! His Mustang Shelby, a highly desirable classic, a feat of American engineering, rear-ended by a Mini. He groaned in frustration, as footsteps came to a stop beside him.
Running a hand over the shiny bumper that was exposed, he snapped, “Where did you learn how to drive?”
“Israel,” a woman’s voice said sharply.
Not the answer he expected. He turned towards her, spotted a small burn mark on her chin, most likely from the airbag, before making eye contact.
“Where did you learn how to drive?” she shot back.
“Me?” he asked incredulously, then pointed a finger at her. “You rear-ended me.”
Her eyes seemed ablaze in the streetlight. “You suddenly hit the brakes for no reason!”
“I slowed to a halt when the light turned yellow.”
“You speed up when the light turns yellow,” she said, gesturing widely at the traffic light.
He closed his eyes and grit his teeth. “Not in America!”
“Well, that is just dumb,” she said, rolling her eyes.
He raised his eyebrows and scoffed. She was going to be a pain in the butt.
The woman briefly looked away to check out the vehicles. “It does not look like your car is that badly damaged.”
Tony complained. “I’ve only had this car for a week.”
She glanced at him. “What happened to your previous car?”
“It got totaled.”
“Oh!” She pointed at him. “You are a bad driver.”
Tony clenched his jaw and glared at her. In a carefully controlled tone, he said, “A thief totaled it during a police chase.”
“Oh, well, that is why you have insurance, yes?” She looked at him with a glimmer of sympathy, and he realized for the first time how attractive she was.
Giving her a quick once over, his thoughts immediately snapped back to his car insurance. He scrubbed a hand over his face, remembering the paper work, the red tape, the endless phone calls, the burning hoops of fire they had made him jump through to get the money they owed him according to his policy.
She shrugged. “It looks like an old car.”
He held up a finger, the tension in his neck building. “It’s a classic car.”
She made a face. “What is the difference?”
His eyes widened, mouth open, yet at a loss for words. This was insult to injury. Definitely a pain in the butt.
“I will back up my car,” she said, “to get a better idea of the damage.”
Gut churning, he held up a hand. “No no no no, we’re filling out the paper work first.”
She glanced away, then stepped in closer. “I was hoping we could,” she looked him up and down, and  bit her bottom lip, “skip the paper work.”
Narrowing his eyes at her, he opened the right side of his jacket, exposing his badge and gun. “I’m a cop,” he said matter-of-factly.
Her gaze flitted down once more, a dangerous look appeared in her eyes. “Nice gun.”
She licked her lips, and a knot tightened in his stomach.
“I bet you impress a lot of women with that,” she raised her eyebrows, “or men.”
Tony’s brow furrowed as he let his jacket fall back into place. Technically he was off-duty, but this wasn’t the first time someone had tried to flirt their way out of trouble.
“Miss-“
“Ziva,” she said abruptly, stepping into his personal space.
He did not like this. He inhaled sharply through his nose, a delicate, tropical fragrance clouding his mind momentarily. The deep and mysterious look in her eyes would’ve made Jules Verne’s head spin. It was certainly making his head spin. Or maybe that was a concussion.
Tony blinked slowly. Oh no, he did not like this, at all.
She pulled out her phone. “I know some people who can repair your car in no time.” And before he could comment, she was focused on the conversation in rapid-fire Hebrew. Cradling the phone against her shoulder, she fished a pen out of her pocket, grabbed his left hand and began writing.
The warmth of her hand, combined with the almost tickling sensation of the pen moving over the back of his hand, sent a tingle down his spine. He inhaled deeply, itching for another whiff of, what was that, coconut? Vanilla?
Ziva looked up at him abruptly, a dark twinkle in her eyes.
Tony swallowed hard, as she continued the conversation, never breaking eye contact. The tip of the pen had long left his skin, but for some unknown reason her hand hadn’t. Not that he was complaining.
She ended the conversation with one of the few Hebrew words he knew, and pocketed the phone and pen. “Meet me here,” she held up his hand, “in an hour.”
He glanced at the address, rough part of town. Busted a chop shop there two months ago. Didn’t quite go as planned.
“Do I need to remind you I’m a cop?”
“I would not mind checking out your gun again,” she said in a smoky voice, “as a reminder.”
Her thumb ever so lightly caressed the back of his hand. Or maybe that was just his imagination, heightened senses, rushing adrenaline, car crashes, and all that will do that to you. Not to mention beautiful, mysterious women that change their mood like a weathervane.
“Why don’t you want fill out the paperwork?”
“It is such a, how do you say, pain in the button?”
Tony shook his head slightly. “Butt.”
“But what?”
“No,” he pointed at his backside, “butt, double t.”
Ziva’s eyebrows squished together. “You want to show me your butt?”
Tony opened his mouth, then stopped short. His instinct had been right, she was an absolute pain in the butt.
He rubbed his brow with his free hand, becoming vaguely aware of a headache. “Are you in the country legally?”
She shrugged, holding his gaze. “Legally enough.”
Tony leaned in closer, and stared at her fixedly. “Do you have any idea how shady you sound?”
Ziva tilted her head, a coy smile tugging at her lips. “I have an idea about how intrigued you are.”
He stood up straight, and wrinkled his nose.
Ziva chuckled, let go of his hand, and patted his cheek. “Do not worry, I will not let anything happen to you.”
Tony licked his lips. Either his car would be fixed by the end of the evening, or both he and the car would end up disassembled for parts. Maybe he should let his partner know where he was going. Wait, when had he decided he was going?
Ziva walked backwards towards her car, holding up a finger. “One hour.”
He glanced at the address again, mind racing, and offhandedly said, “It’s a date.”
The wide smile Ziva sent him made his stomach do somersaults.
“Only if you bring flowers,” she said, and winked, before disappearing inside the Mini.
Tony cocked his head. Beautiful women always knew how to get his motor running. Through the windshield he watched her rip out the deflated airbag, casually throwing it on the passenger seat, as if she had done so a dozen times before. He pursed his lips, beautiful women with a dangerous edge shifted his motor into higher gear.
“I’m not sure your car is safe to drive,” he called out to her.
Ziva popped her head through the door window, amused look on her face. “I have driven worse.”
The Mini’s engine roared to life, as Tony’s mind tried to hold on to this roller coaster of a conversation. “What?”
The Mini backed up, and with unnecessary speed, and far too little distance, sped past him, making him jump back against the side of his car.
He ran a hand through his already tousled hair. “Crazy chick.”
Once seated in the driver’s seat, he checked his watch, and mumbled, “I wonder if Walmart has any fresh flowers left.”

Unknown Known Threat *Part 3*
Rumi Usagiyama (Miriko) X Male!Reader
Word Count: 1606
Requested: @your-next-daydream
Request: Perhaps a part three of the unknown known threat??? You don't have to keep continuing it if you don't want I'm just invested now 😭
*Part 2*
Tumblr media
You swapped through cameras as you watched your next targets on the screen, the UA work study was the perfect time to get all of the information that you needed. The next place you intended to hit was the Ryukyu agency, you knew that there were three UA students there and more information to grab. You grabbed everything that you needed ready to head out “Where are you going now?” Dabi asked as he leant against the door frame. “My job is to gather information.” You answered, “I’m going to do my job.” “Well if you're going to draw all of their attention then we may as well use the distraction.” Dabi mumbled. “Don’t get caught.” “I’m pretty sure you say that every time that I leave.” You said and he looked at you and shrugged. “You're the one still technically dating a hero.” He answered, you shrugged as you walked past him “not my choice.”
Miriko still couldn’t find any information on who had taken you or how you had ended up with Redestro, she needed to know what happened to you, to know how to help you. At the moment the best that they could hope for is finding somewhere to keep you but rehabilitation was a distant hope. “You found anything yet?” She looked up at the winged hero that was lounging across the sofa in her office. “What are you still doing here?” She asked pushing her chair over so that her face wasn’t hidden by the screen. “Well I thought that I could help.” He answered. “You're really helping.” She rolled her eyes as he smirked at her. “I’m here for moral support.” He added rolling onto his front “also it’s probably better that we’re together the next time someone reports his appearance, maybe we can catch him again.” “I’m glad that you think that.” Miriko smirked, in reality she was starting to think that the only way to stop you was to kill you. Your quirk made it hard to keep you anywhere that you didn’t want to be and she was pretty sure that you knew every move that she would make and planned accordingly. There wasn’t any more time to think about it because one of the sidekicks in her agency knocked on the door. “He’s been seen.” She informed her. “Thanks kid, we’ll head out now.” Hawks was the one to answer the sidekick as he stood up stretching his arms and wings “you ready?” “Sure.” Miriko answered.
“Aww you have a panic button for little old me?” You asked from place with your feet kicked up on the chest of the sidekick you had knocked out. “You that scared of me?” “We’ve seen the work that you’ve done.” Ryukyu answered and you looked at her and shrugged. “Endeavor wasn’t there, just a couple of UA brats, not really a show of strength.” You shrugged. “Deku!” The girl you knew at Uraraka or Uravity gasped and you looked at her and raised an eyebrow. “You guys didn’t tell them?” You asked. “Wow, you heroes keep so many secrets.” Your eye caught the moving texture on the wall and rolled your eyes. “If you move any closer to me Froppy I’ll send so many volts that the body under my feet won’t have a heart left in it.” “I’m sure that you have the information by now, why are you still here?” Ryukyu asked. “Those two haven’t moved yet.” You pointed at the two UA students. “You’re supposed to be the best of your year at UA right? What are you waiting for?” “You just said that you’ll kill your hostage if Froppy comes near you, why would we be any different?” Nejire asked. “You're a smart little thing aren’t you?” You smirked as you took the USB out and put it on the table “I presented the boys with the same wager, if you can kill me, your information stays in your hands.” “We aren’t going to kill you.” Nejire dismissed you and you looked at her and shrugged while picking up the USB. “Your loss.” You sighed before putting it in your inside pocket, you moved your feet knowing that they’ll take the bait, in the second Ryukyu shot towards you, you disappeared from your place in front of the computer and appeared by the door. “You guys weren’t as fun as I thought you would be.” “Maybe we can give you what you were looking for.” You dodge out of the way of a kick from Miriko as you see a red flash move past you towards the unconscious sidesick. “Hawks… Are you trying to steal my girl?” “I hate to break it to you kid but I don’t think she’s yours anymore.” Hawks shrugged. “That true Bunny?” You asked, she didn’t give you an answer instead opting for throwing punches and kicks that you had no problem dodging, it was easy to separate her from the rest of the heroes as she followed your moves eventually you were close enough to a window that you could jump out of it and onto the roofs that were level with it. Miriko followed you out despite the protest from Hawks.
“Stop running from me!” She yelled as she attempted to get closer again. “I can’t do that.” You answered and she looked at you for a second. “Why won’t you come home?” She asked. “It’s not too late to come home.” “If I came home then who’s going to control all of the information pouring into the villains hands?” You asked. “Don’t pretend that you're doing this for any other reason but to get back at me.” Miriko dove forward again and you dodged again, knocking her hands away from your face, knocking feet out from under her and sitting on her stomach. “You really want to know what I’m doing?” You asked. “Hurting people to get back at me.” She guessed. “I mean… Yes. I do a lot of things to spite you and hero society in general but if I really wanted to hurt you and the people that you know, wouldn’t there already be dead bodies popping up?” You asked “what could I possibly be doing with all that information?” “What?” She asked, you smiled down at her as she stopped struggling. “I don’t mean to confuse you too much but have you ever thought that some of us don't fit into the categories that you’ve so nicely laid out for yourselves?” You asked. “Then what are you doing with the villains?” She asked. “I just visually aligned myself with the most dangerous players on the board, as a stand alone party I would have been subject to attacks on both sides but I aligned myself with the side that stood to hurt me the most, it was a bonus that I could do whatever I wanted while I am with them.” You explained. “The information was mine to do with as I please, I tell them what I want to tell them, which is usually slightly wrong information.” Miriko flipped you both pinning you to the roof, you looked up at her with a relaxed look on your face as you waited for her to speak. “You expect me to believe that?” She asked. “No actually I expected you not to believe me, even if you really wanted to.” You whispered. “Then why bother telling me any of this?” She asked, you leaned up until you were a breath away from her before you hit her in the back of the neck knocking her out. “Because I was hoping that you’d look at me like you used to but I guess even you don’t think that I’m worth saving anymore.” You said softly, your hand cradled the back of her head as you moved her so that she was leaning against the lip of the roof. “Woah where do you think you're going?” Hawks asked, a red feather embedding itself in the wall by your head. “Take her home No. 2” You muttered as you stood from where you were. “What are you going to tell them?” He asked. “They won’t ask.” You answered as you stepped up on the ledge of the building. “What do you want me to tell her?” He asked. “Doesn’t matter, she's decided what she wants to do… There’s no happy ending for either of us.” You looked down at the people below you and sighed. “But your hero society is to blame for that.” “You think taking it down will change that?” Hawks asked. “No… not even a little bit, but it’s the closest I can get to hurting her without actually hurting her, see you later No.2” you disappeared before he could ask you anything else. “Where is he?” Hawk’s cast a gaze behind him to see Endevor and his three work studies. “He’s gone.” Hawks answered. “Is she okay?” Midorya asked “She’ll be fine, I’m going to take her back to her agency until she wakes up.” Hawks informed them all before picking up Miriko and disappearing.
“Somethin’ wrong?” Dabi asked as you walked back into the building. “No nothing.” You answered as you walked past him. “You got what you wanted?” He asked. “Yeah.” You answered shortly “what are you asking all these questions for?” “You look like you want to kill someone.” Dabi shrugged. “Maybe I do.” You muttered as you walked past him, he watched you walk away, he didn’t like not knowing what you were up to, he’d have to keep a better eye on you from now on.

Juan de Pareja (c. 1606 – 1670) was a Spanish painter, born enslaved in Antequera, Spain to a woman of African descent and a native Spanish man. He was employed by the celebrated artist Diego Rodríguez de Silva y Velázquez. He traveled with Velázquez to Italy and was exposed to the works of other leading artists of his era such as Titian, Veronese, and Correggio.
He was a free person. Before he arrived in Madrid he passed the examination to be designated a painter in Seville, a profession from which enslaved were legally banned. In a letter dated May 12, 1630, from him to a high official in Seville, he requested permission to continue studying his craft in Madrid accompanied by his brother, Jusepe, not Velázquez. He was the free, loyal assistant of Velázquez until the latter died in 1660. The last decade of his life was spent in the employ of Velázquez’s daughter, Francisca de Silva Velázquez y Pacheco, working as an assistant to her husband, the noted portrait and landscape painter Juan Bautista Martínez del Mazo.
His undisputed masterpiece is “The Calling of St. Matthew,” housed at the Prado Museum in Madrid. Expertly done, in some respects it is reminiscent not only of certain works of Velázquez but those of the great Italian and Dutch masters. Proud of his best effort, he inserted himself opposite Jesus standing at the left edge of the painting holding a slip of paper that reads “Juan de Pareja in the year 1661.” Like his mentor, he too excelled in portraiture, the prime example being his portrait of the architect José Ratés Dalmau.
Revered as one of the premier Spanish Baroque painters. His legacy continues to this day. The popular children’s novel I, Juan de Pareja by Elizabeth B. de Treviño, based partly on often repeated myths about the artist, won the American Library Association’s Newbery Award in 1966. Five years later in 1971, Velázquez’s portrait of him was purchased by New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art for an estimated $6 million. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence
