I have a theory (it’s not based in reality at all I’m just being delulu)
So, this year everytime Daniel’s been on the redbull pit wall or with the red bull team in general Max has absolutely dominated everyone. BUT, despite having returned to the pit wall, Daniel is on the alpha tauri pit wall this race and who’s been doing amazing? Yuki and Liam, and who’s had a garbage time of it? Max.
So in conclusion Daniel being on a teams pit wall boosts team performance and that’s what Max was lacking this track. He needs his boy back on his pit wall to nab him that championship this race.
I know I know correlation =/= causation, but coincidence??? I think not!!!

i guess it kind of makes sense now why Daniel would be open to going back there even if he has said he doesn’t want to be racing for a backmarker. And why, despite everybody and their mother going on about how he’ll be denying the chance to an rb junior, helmut and co are considering him for the seat because only an experienced driver can help them make that transition to a better performing team

I cannot believe RBR has come so full circle that Dan is coming back to replace De Vries at AlphaTauri.

I'm just saying, especially after that race weekend, I am very interested in what next years red bull and alpha tauri lineups will look like...
#f1#formula 1#formula one#max is guaranteed#but I think that second seat is anyones game#personally I would try to get Alex back#if seb + max are the golden boys + dan is the prodigal son then alex is red bull's one that got away#whether alex would come back i don't know#if not alex then yuki#i cannot praise yuki enough#even though the commentators can only acknowledge him when they want to make up a new rbr conspiracy 🙃#I'd put liam in at for now let him cook so to speak#honda wants to take yuki with them to aston martin in 2025/6 at which point liam could be ready for the red bull seat#it works#I'd keep dan at at for next year because i think that would be a good balance for the team#they'd be developing a young talented driver in liam which is the aim of the team#but Dan's experience would be very helpful in developing both the car and the team#development both the car and the team desperately need
