okay but yall remember how in “Words of the Fallen” Darien tells the reader (who was, in fact, the vestige.) “never trust a daedric prince.” and a few DLC’s later we sign ourselves to Hermeaus Mora?

After reading a lot of posts blaming Namaari for what happened to Sisu, I’ve decided to make my own post defending Namaari. Spoilers abound below.
Seriously... did we watch the same movie??? People act like Namaari murdered Sisu in cold blood, when actually she didn’t show any sign that she’d decided to kill Sisu. Her finger wasn’t even pulling on the trigger.
The truth is, Namaari was right when she told Raya that Raya was equally to blame for Sisu’s death. I couldn’t believe people were absolving Raya of any blame when Raya did the one thing you should never do when faced with an armed person aiming a weapon at an innocent person. You should never fucking attack the armed person, because it could lead to them accidentally shooting and injuring or killing the innocent person. And yet that’s what Raya did. Sure her intentions were good, but she still endangered Sisu’s life by doing what she did.

we have parallels between all the disney princess couples in the games and soriku???? i think??????? not just one but ALL?????????

snow white: probably weakest, but snow white ‘dead’ (asleep) and the prince saving her with love (ddd)
cinderella: also weaker but uhhhhh at the very least theres fairy godmother sending cinderella off to the ball to fufill her dream (MoM). and prince charming desperately looking for her is kinda?? soras journey in the first few games?????
sleeping beauty: ditto only true loves kiss breaking the spell (ddd) and also, aurora having a connection to prince phillip through her dreams (ddd/re:mind)
the little mermaid: ariel wants to leave the ocean and go explore another world. followed by eric looking for her, but shes been rEPLACED BY SOMEONE ELSE (VANESSA AKA NAMINE) WHOS USING SOMETHING OF HERS TO DISGUISE THEMSELF (ARIELS VOICE AKA THE METEOR SHOWER MEMORY) OH SHIT I JUST REALIZED THIS RIGHT AS IM TYPING THIS OUT WAIT WAIT HHOLD ON oOKAY okay im good im good now. and then heres the gifset that started this all of course (kh2/re:coded)
beauty and the beast: right here babey! (kh1/kh2/ddd/com) + also this (chi)
aladdin: jasmine rebelling and sneaking out of the palace to go see the world. and this is from tvtropes but, ‘When Sora calls out for Riku after the second battle with the Parasite Cage, the staging of the scene is identical to when Aladdin called out for Jasmine after defeating Jafar in Agrabah: the Hero frantically calling out for their Love Interest as the room collapses around them while their allies drag them to safety.’ theres probably more with them but idk and its 4:30 am as i type this (kh1)

literally the only disney princess couples (from the official disney princess lineup) that arent paralleled with soriku are pocahontas and (blech) john smith, and tiana and naveen. and thats bc those worlds arent in the games.
and HONORABLE MENTION goes to herc and megara. like even besides the taisetsu parallels, in the original movie theres herc diving into the river styx to save megaras soul.
you know. like sora literally breaking time and space to save his friends, which starts with him following rikus light through the tunnel. where it kind of looks like hes swimming through water?????
and riku is the first one he finds

I watched somewhere that Raya's whole "Dragon Nerd" thing was kinda demeaning(?) towards the sanctity of Dragons in SEA culture and while I do agree with that to some degree... I personally think they also went too tame with Raya's whole "Dragon nerd" thing
Raya was only nerd enough to plot dump, but if someone was truly a "Dragon nerd" then they should have really went harder with it. Made her absolutely fanatical about it. To the point where she freaks out other characters about it. We were robbed of adorkable nerd fighter Raya and I'm a little sad about it
(Also, this post was inspired by Xiran's video where a group of SEA people assembled to talk about Raya... And also the character of Elrand from "Campfire Cooking in another world with my absurd skill". Just see what I mean here:

Go back to 0:58 we got glowing purple crystals and ghostflame candles. AND if you look around this is very much Raya Lucarian architecture and decoration. I can recognize those bird cages anywhere.
As for the woman, my best guess is important merchant/quest dealer similar to Lady Tanith.

The giant crayfish found in Liurnia of the Lakes were intentionally made and placed there as a defense for Raya Lucaria. Getting past them also served as a sort of entrance exam for anyone who wanted to attend the academy.
