One of the hcs I’ve had since I was a teen was that Ramin’s Phantom is Nadir’s nephew or young cousin. He’s meant to be Erik’s guardian but Erik was fucking shit up in Persia, then goes MIA out of nowhere and came to France.

So, in the case of Poto 25, not too long after the final lair Nadir finally tracks Erik down and he’s like “I messed up Uncle, this one’s a doozy”.

Momo went to his chief Ramin's office to properly introduce himself and go over the notes of his first case. He was honestly expecting some congratulation for being good at what he did and for his fast progress.

Momo got called to Ramin's office after being caught taking a nap at work. They had already done so much and was exhausted. They listened to Ramin scold him quietly as he had to and endured his insults. He was clearly using this as an excuse to lash out on Momo.

Then Ramin told Momo that they risked both of their careers with his comedy routine and caused rumors about them to spread. Ramin didn't want to see Momo around him and needed them to be away from this station.

At that point Momo argued back and said they could not be fired just for Ramin to save his ass. Momo was good at his job and severely underpaid for not graduating university. They could sue the place back. Ramin told Momo that they weren't getting fired, this was a promotion.

Momo's duty station was changed for them to take on an unsolved case in Strangeville. An investigation was opened years ago but it led to a dead end with detectives disappearing and the case not moving on for years with little to no evidence. They were promoted to a worse place than his current station and now they would have to move away.

It was a punishment disguised as promotion, Momo would either end up missing like all the others or they would have to live in a strange place their whole life with no way to move upwards in their career.
