Characters That Inspired Your OC Challenge: A Gif Set.

Character: Erzsebet S. Hawthorne.

The main protagonist of my original lore- Erzsebet is a vampiress and inventor and nearly the last of her kind. Just like Vivian, I wanted Erzsebet to be an oc that opened the door for oc/self-insert writers/cosplayers/artists. I wanted people to feel that whoever they were, they could be their own hero, antagonist or anti-hero. My vampiress is also how I got my nickname as a result. And with that, Erzsebet is like a personal mascot and muse to me. Cheering me on every time I feel I'm not strong enough to keep writing. With that- you know the game! Characters that inspired her!

Alice- 'Disney's Alice In Wonderland'

Keeping in mind that Erzsebet's fashion was always Victorian lolita, I wanted her to be very sweet in gestures. Very motherly. With this, I initially started with Alice. I adored how she was strong. And how she refused to be silent in a world of her own making.

Maria- 'Mad Father'

For the record- Erzsebet was made in 2012. Early 2012. So really, I'm sore about Mad Father because my rp came FIRST. But instead of staying sore, I took a bit of inspiration from the nurse of that game, Maria. She was very submissive to the doctor, but in the end- helps Aya.

Mrs. Lovett- 'Sweeney Todd- The Demon Barberer of Fleet Street'

Her undying devotion to Mr. Todd was borderline obsessive. Something I made for a time, be mutual between Lugos and Erzsebet. But in the end, Lugos wanted to kill and make dolls. The clever and sly way Lovett is is represented by some of Erzsebet's darker self.

Elizabeth Bathory

The historical killer and Blood Countess herself, at her root- Erzsebet is meant to be the next Blood Countess. This is seen in her motifs and many of her dresses. When being a bit of a brat, Erzsebet also appears to revert to treating others as lesser until snapped out of it by Kylar. She has Elizabeth's same sexual stamina. And when hungry- nearly an insatiable appitite for blood. But unlike Elizabeth, Erzsebet has been raised with morals. Therefore, she has a sense of shame. Hiding her bloodlust or even when she drinks.

Utena Tenjou- 'Revolutionary Girl Utena'

When Lugos's constant torture and control on Erzsebet is broken and she realizes how awful he is- she does not give up, but instead chooses to reclaim the Hawthorne name as good and aid humanity in taking down Lugos's monsters. I took heavy inspiration from Utena for this. Her sense of righteousness, her independence and her will to keep fighting all became things that make Erzsebet great. No longer subservient to her abusive lover, but The Radiant Savior of The Roses.

Weiss Schnee- 'RWBY'

Everyone loves a girl with a rapier, and Weiss was no exception. Calculating and doing damn good in a battle skirt- Weiss's strength and pent-up emotions helped to inspire a lot of Erzsebet's tension and how she hides her feelings as a wetboy. It's only after her best friend, Gwynn- helps snap her from this- that Erzsebet is able to become the wetboy she needs to be to stop the chaos. I took a bit of snootiness from Weiss as well.

Fuu Hououji- Magic Knight Rayearth

At her heart, Erzsebet is sweet and loving. She is playful but refined. Making light of any sadness to keep people around her hopeful. She is an ear for those who need her and when making her- I loved her having glasses. Fuu's tactical mind rubbed off on me as a result. Making Erzsebet clever in combat.

Rae Doole- 'Black Snake Moan'

If you think for one second when Erzsebet wasn't chained to the heater by Lugos in his loft, that wasn't inspired by Rae- you'd be wrong! And her attitude to having to fix herself later fueled how Erzsebet would become strong and independent.
