favorite color: red! my nails are always red and i'm almost always wearing at least one red item. right now it's my lipstick since i'm wearing all black otherwise.
last song: the aisle by pinkpantheress. the way i listen to music is insanely neurotic, so i've only recently got around to stuff that came out last year. absolutely goes, though! the girlies were right!
last movie: fucking aggro drift lmao. it was.......something? getting a gang together to go see i saw the tv glow tomorrow and i am stoked beyond belief.

T A S K # 0 1 - INTRODUCTION.
Alright uni gang, I'm gonna need y'all to listen up and take notes. Auntie Snix has some words of wisdom for all you loners and rejects out there who need my help fitting in while also uniquely standing out. If my 22 years on this planet have learned me anything, it's that you're never too much of a bad bitch to learn some new tricks. So pop a squat, get your popcorn ready, and pay attention because I'm only going to say this once. And trust me, these are invaluable life lessons that will stick with you throughout your extended time here at wmu.
𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚'𝐬 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐩 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞'𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐭 :
𝟏. Your college years are the time to be selfish. Now you may be thinking, "Santana, you've always been self-centered." While there may be some validity to that, college is an excuse to not feel guilty about it. Step outside your comfort zone, act on your own desires. Just don't get arrested for public intoxication. 𝟐. Never show up early or empty-handed to a party. The goal is to appear cool and indifferent, not make yourself look desperate. Frat parties aren't really my scene, but they typically have the best alcohol if you're looking to drink away your problems. 𝟑. Real Housewives is priceless entertainment. If you haven't watched it yet, you need to start. They show reruns on Bravo. If you have watched it and it wasn't your cup of tea, I'm sorry to inform you but you have terrible taste. I bet your favorite show is Breaking Bad or Grey's Anatomy. How unoriginal. 𝟒. Dress hot for a job interview. Practical? No. Effective? Hell yes, unless you're Rachel Berry. It's a miracle how far thigh high boots and a tight-fitted camisole will get you in the bartending biz. 𝟓. Crocs with socks should be a federal offense. If you own a pair, please burn them. Sincerely, everyone. 𝟔. Online shopping is both addictive and cathartic. Just ask my mom. After she found out about my dad's affair, she started buying up those 5,000 piece jigsaw puzzles that take weeks to complete. Not to mention she put all of the funds on his credit cards. That's the kind of petty behavior I admire. 𝟕. Street food in Lima, Ohio is not the same as it is in Miami. I need a lot of spice in my life. If I'm not legitimately delirious and sweating from the heat on my plate, I don't want it. Lima's version of that is buffalo chicken wings smothered in Taco Bell diablo sauce. Check, please. 𝟖. SZA's comeback was the highlight of the 2022. Five years between albums is wild that I have to admit my girl had me stressing for a minute, but her new music delivered. Shoutout to Kehlani for also releasing another banger. 𝟗. Relationships ain't shit, delete your dating apps. If I wanted to be cheated on, I would've set the bar higher and aimed for someone rich like those gold diggers on Real Housewives do. At least then I wouldn't have to foot the bill at the end of the night. 𝟏𝟎. Guys lie to you but girls will destroy your psyche. Not all girls, obviously. Just the evil ones I'm attracted to and date. Consider this my vow to stay single forever.
That's all for now, kiddos. I hope you weren't expecting some profound insight into societal norms or anything like that. It's too early in the morning and I haven't had my daily dose of caffeine yet. I'm just here to keep it real. If you're in the market for any more helpful tips or tricks, hit me up on my socials. And if I have you blocked, best believe it's for a good reason and I would appreciate it if you never contacted me again. Deuces.

LZZY HALE: 'If It Weren't For SKID ROW In My Bones, I Would Not Be The Rocker I Am Today'
Tumblr media
HALESTORM's Lzzy Hale says that "there will be blood left on the stage" after she performs with SKID ROW later this spring.
The 40-year-old singer, who has fronted her band HALESTORM for more than two and a half decades, will handle the vocal duties for SKID ROW for four shows only after the group's fourth frontman since Sebastian Bach's departure — "Swedish Idol" contestant Erik Grönwall — quit the band to focus on his health.
Earlier today (Friday, March 29),Lzzy shared an admat for her four appearances with SKID ROW and she wrote in an accompanying message: "This is totally wild! I can't believe my VHS audition tape finally made it in the mail! (I kid, I kid)
"I started listening SKID ROW when I was a teenager growing up on the east coast in central Pennsylvania. They were one of the only bands at that time that truly bridged the gap for my love of 80s big choruses and riffs, but had the same poignant dirt and grime that was seeping into the cracks of my mind during the 90s. By the early 00s HALESTORM was well coming into its own, inspired by these powerful songs that helped me unlock a door within myself as a young musician. I can say without a second thought that if it weren't for SKID ROW in my bones, I would not be the rocker I am today.
"And this summer, my world turns full circle. Because not only am I able to share the stage as acting front person for this integral band, but even more importantly, I get to call these boys my chosen family. No matter how much we both tour, or how much time has gone by…we light up when we see each other. They have seen me through my rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, all while cheering me on. Time, space, history, age…are all relative, irrelevant and elastic cuz we are all just astronauts cut from the same cloth, worshipping the same magic that is this music. I'm so grateful for their support of me in my career, and as a fellow human.
"Love you guys! There will be blood left on the stage!"
In the comments section below Lzzy's post, SKID ROW bassist Rachel Bolan wrote, "Sister from another mister", while SKID ROW guitarist Scotti Hill added, "This is going to be so much fun!"
SKID ROW shows with Lzzy Hale on vocals:
May 17 - Walker’s Bluff Casino Resort – Carterville, IL May 18 - Riverside Casino & Golf Resort – Riverside, IA May 31 - Nugget Casino Resort – Sparks, NV June 01 - Hard Rock Live Sacramento – Wheatland, CA
HALESTORM covered SKID ROW's "Slave To The Grind" for the 2011 EP "ReAniMate: The CoVeRs eP". The band has also performed the track live, as can be seen in the video below.
Grönwall, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in March 2021, is immunocompromised, which made touring difficult.
"I'm getting stronger and healthier every day but after consulting my doctor I need to allow myself more time to recover, which I can't do as the lead singer of SKID ROW," he said in a statement. "That's why I have reached the tough decision to move on."
The SKID ROW members said in a statement that they are "proud of what they have created and accomplished with Erik over the past two years" and "wish nothing but the best to him and his health. To celebrate the last two years, the band will be releasing a live album that perfectly captures this moment of time in the band's 35-plus-year history, to be announced soon."
In September 2021, just four months before he joined SKID ROW, Grönwall released his new cover version of "18 And Life" via all streaming platforms.
In late March 2022, SKID ROW released its first single with Grönwall, "The Gang's All Here". The song is the title track of the band's latest album, which arrived in October 2022 via earMUSIC.
SKID ROW played its first show with Grönwall on March 26, 2022 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada as the support act on the rescheduled dates for SCORPIONS' "Sin City Nights" residency.

TROYE SIVAN - "RUSH"
youtube
Poppers, to two decimal places.
[6.83]
Rachel Saywitz: Heathens, debauchers, partakers of libations, gather round, for this is a story most foul. It's a titillating tale of delight, a sensuous account of the sweetest carnal pleasures. For here bare buttocks were slapped, saliva was swapped, and crotches were lit aflame. And on this most sinful of nights, the boomiest of bass ran pounded a skinny man with undead eyes. Yes, this was the God-hating demon himself. Using his nasal tone to elevate the most traditional of club beats into a sexual paradise. Giving his catchiest hook to a gaggle of men, no doubt caught under his spell. Beware this evil-doer. For he makes even the straightest of people fall into his gaze. Under any circumstances, do not feel the rush. [8]
Nortey Dowuona: Xander went through a lot in that series. He got his music career ground into nothingness before he became an adult, got shocked into incoherence by a lame who has a godawful ponytail, got cussed with homophobic lies, it's great to hear him launch off these exciting house drum programming that gets so big in the mix he kinda has to be - wait, his name is Troye? Wow, what else did they take -- he had an actual singing career and acting career before this. He's never been named Xander? decided to just dance to the song and fix the blurb later, never does [8]
Oliver Maier: Sivan's a curious export to me, a mostly middling songwriter who converts more and more fans each cycle simply by existing, like the Luigi who wins by doing absolutely nothing of pop music. I don't begrudge him it, I just don't see his angle. "Rush" is a certifiable Big Tune™, but to me that has more to do with the shouty lads on the hook than Troye, who flits around like a cherubic chaperone. [7]
Will Adams: So the solution to my problem with Troye's just-okay voice (besides Hot Chip remixes) is to baton pass the chorus to a full Village People chant. Brilliant! It's the cherry on a just-too-tailored piano-house instrumental, which makes me think that maybe he should phone Disclosure for some collabs. [6]
Katherine St Asaph: A rare show of genuine tension and heat from Troye Sivan. But that's not due to Troye so much as the heady fog of reverb and posse of mega-masc guys he surrounds himself with. [7]
David Moore: It's too late for me to grok Troye Sivan's whole deal, I think, but this reminds me of the fake-seeming dance tracks I constantly pull from Spotify's new music playlists, most of which are designed for Dance Mode [picture of purple disco ball] and Beast Mode [picture of buff shirtless man holding dumbbells] and presumably many other Modes that I can't imagine this particular song hyping me up for or, more accurately, helping me to survive with only minor shoulder injuries. [4]
Will Rivitz: Free us from the tyranny of gang vocals. [5]
Michael Hong: Not really a radical reinvention -- if "Dance to This" were dialed to a 5, then this is amped up to a measly 7, and Troye's been way more explicit with underage hookups and poorly disguised flower metaphors -- but damn if this isn't fun. [7]
Thomas Inskeep: Why isn't Troye Sivan an international, honest-to-goodness, radio-saturating popstar?! (Spoiler alert: it's because he's so openly gay in his lyrics, which in 2023 is absurd but there you fucking go.) Sivan's vocals here are simultaneously confident and dreamy, and goddamn, "Rush" is so swoony it actually feels like the rush you get meeting someone on a dancefloor and just connecting, immediately. And also, I mean, poppers; he clearly knows of what he sings. [8]
Wayne Weizhen Zhang: This summer, after seeing Barbie & Renaissance in the same day, my friend found poppers on the floor of our favorite drag bar that were so strong that I'm convinced to this day that I have brain damage. Was it a coincidence that this happened two weeks after the release of this song? I think not. [7]
Ian Mathers: In everything I'd read about the Troye Sivan album I don't recall seeing anyone mention "he sometimes sounds a bit like Friendly Fires now" and honestly I would have liked to have had that information. [9]
Alfred Soto: I would've liked Troye Sivan as a model. Introverted but not shy, fluent in the ways in which a life of constructing an identity on one's phone brings new adventures and stirs up familiar fears, Sivan isn't coy. "Rush," though, reminds me of Jessie Ware's latest album: the forced euphoria of a camp counselor with two weeks to go before the end. [5]
Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: An all-time great song to jump up and down and chant along to. To make beautifully head-empty pretty bro music like this is a true gift that must not be squandered. [9]
Leah Isobel: "Rush" is suitably aerodynamic, with the exception of its blocky football-chant chorus. It's like a beer commercial plopped into a DJ set, and its masculinity comes across as glib compared with the airy pianos and bouncy bongos. But I get that Troye is the chronicler of emotional distance within intimacy, and I like that he takes some time out from huffing poppers with the boys to wink, "This shit is so much fun"; that's the kind of distance that feels true, the moment when your brain surfaces just long enough to realize how ridiculous it is to be a body in space. [6]
Brad Shoup: The video version offers a deal: you get a post-chorus without violent panning between fore- and background, but also a comedown outro about loving "with reciprocity". I'll take the wispy original, which tries to bulk up with a great bro chorus but ultimately glides around corners, pleading for pleasure. ("Kiss it when you're done" is such a good line. I can't get over it.) Also, two-and-a-half minutes is the right duration for this kind of churning yet weightless pop-house encounter. [7]
Crystal Leww: There's a Tiktok floating around where a girl asks where are the men who like women who look like Troye Sivan. While it's extremely funny, it also speaks to the fact that there's a real dearth of men in Western pop who are out here popping their pussy and putting their whole back into it. "Rush" is a full pop song with a curated, cohesive vibe throughout the song, a hook that doesn't stick out in a sea of blah before and after it, and a choreographed silly little dance that Troye and his boys do. The bar is in hell -- we're lucky we at least have "Rush." [6]
Alex Ostroff: On the Something to Give Each Other press tour, Troye pointedly raved about how inspired he is by Janet. Intriguingly, his standom doesn't focus on her Imperial Phase: Not her declaration of Control, the politics of Rhythm Nation 1814, nor the personal discovery of janet. Not even The Velvet Rope's blend of the internet, queer activism, kink & self-empowerment which left such an indelible mark on the last decade of R&B and underground dance music. No, when asked for his three favourite Janet songs, Troye's picks are 'Together Again", "All Nite (Don't Stop)" and "SloLove." Two-thirds of those are from Damita Jo, Janet's horniest record. Damita Jo featured "Warmth" and "Moist," back-to-back odes to fellatio and cunnilingus so explicit that Janet cut them from the clean version altogether. That feels right for the Troye era that launched with "Rush." It's not that Troye hasn't explored sexuality before -- Bloom's title track is famously a bop about bottoming, after all -- but those were his takes on "Let's Wait Awhile," "Anytime, Anyplace," or the psychosexual therapy moments on Velvet Rope, where sex was a window into his emotional state and romantic relationships. Here, Troye just delves into the joy of spontaneous lust and delivers a femme top anthem where his masc bros chant about wanting your touch. He whispers "Breathe '1, 2, 3' / take all of me" and instructs you to "Kiss it when you're done". Like Damita Jo, 'Rush' can sometimes feel uncomfortable or cringey (is the glory hole 12" vinyl packaging too much or exactly enough?), but it also undeniably fucks. [8]
Joshua Minsoo Kim: Earlier this year, a relatively popular musician saw a tweet I made that called their music bad, and responded with a quote tweet that derisively called me a twink. It was wonderful. I have never been called a twink before, and never will be again given my body type, but it started to make me think about all the things I'll never experience in life because of the ways in which we play into type when it comes to sex. Or maybe that's just me being pessimistic. Anyways, how about those meatheads chanting here? [6]

Died aged 48 on this day one year ago in New Orleans: Rachel Nagy (15 December 1973 – 14 January 2022), the charismatic, tough-but-tender frontwoman of gritty veteran American garage punk band The Detroit Cobras. (The cause of her death has never been disclosed, but it’s likely to have been alcoholism related). It felt apt that Nagy died just days after fellow bad girl Ronnie Spector (12 January 2022), as she was perhaps Spector’s spiritual daughter. A heavily tattooed former exotic dancer and butcher with a penchant for thick eyeliner, Nagy’s gorgeous smoky bruised-by-life snarl gave soulful voice to legions of honky tonk angels, bar stool mamas and biker gang molls. She was seemingly born to front The Detroit Cobras, who excelled at stylishly exhuming and reinterpreting vintage rhythm & blues and rock’n’roll obscurities. (How many other white chicks would dare cover Ike and Tina Turner’s “You Can’t Miss Nothin’ That You Never Had”, let alone emerge favourably in comparison?). Thankfully, The Detroit Cobras are well represented on Spotify. Why not celebrate Nagy’s artistry by cranking up what I’d argue are her two finest moments: her sultry performances of “Puppet on a String” and “Only to Other People”? Further listening: the Cobras’ essential first two albums Mink, Rat or Rabbit (1998) and Life, Love and Leaving (2001). Pictured: Nagy (on the left) with Detroit Cobras co-founder, guitarist Mary Ramirez.

Girl Meets World Season 4 (What I Would've Wanted)
Tumblr media
I've found myself thinking about Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World often recently (some of it for nostalgic purposes, the other because I miss them both SO much, and etc..) so I wanted to make my own plots and episodes if Season 4 became an actual event.
Episode 1: Girl Meets Anxiety
Riley and Maya start their first day as Sophomores but Riley finds herself struggling with her mental health. Cory gets a new group of students, who aren't as open minded as the others he's had. Farkle and Zay run into a school bully.
Episode 2: Girl Meets Consequences
Maya takes the blame for a prank on a teacher by Isadora but it leaves Maya possibly expelled. Topanga helps Auggie through worries he's having about school.
Episode 3: Girl Meets The Past
Topanga faces a person from her past and is asked to represent him in court but it won't be that easy. Riley looks through photo albums of her family and begins to think.
Episode 4: Girl Meets Philadelphia
The gang goes to Philadelphia for Thanksgiving but get surprised by some other people from Cory and Topanga's past. Riley shares a moment with George Feeny. Maya learns about Shawn and his past.
Episode 5: Girl Meets Feminism
Riley experiences sexual harassment and decides to host a protest with fellow teens who've experienced the same. Lucas is paid a visit from his grandfather.
Episode 6: Girl Meets Artificial Intelligence
Farkle helps design a program for the High School using technology, however it malfunctions and causes damage. Isadora gets offered to graduate early and attend Harvard.
Episode 7: Girl Meets Therapist
Riley seeks help to treat her mental health as it spirals out of control. Cory has to face that his daughter isn't a little girl anymore but can't help by worry.
Episode 8: Girl Meets Religion
Riley finds herself questioning God. She goes to the library to learn about all of the different religions. Cory and Eric reunite with Jack.
Episode 9: Girl Meets Baby
Topanga has a pregnancy scare but discovers that she's beginning to go through the change of life. Riley is peer-pressured into have sex with Lucas but she isn't comfortable with it.
Episode 10: Girl Meets Family
The Matthews reunite with some of their old friends. Eric reunites with Rachel for the first time in nearly 15 years. Jack has big news for the gang.
Episode 11: Girl Meets Accident
Riley falls off a ladder during a club session at school. She begins to experience Amnesia, forgetting who everyone is around her. Cory and Topanga go through a trial of error.
Episode 12: Girl Meets Half
Maya finally gets the chance to meet her half-siblings from Kermit. Riley and Lucas break up. Farkle and Isadora begin to think seriously about the future.
Episode 13: Girl Meets Protective
Riley gets touched by a perverted teacher at school. Cory, Eric, and Shawn gang up to figure out what's going on with Riley.
Episode 14: Girl Meets Revelations
Maya discovers that Kermit might not be her real father. Cory and Topanga help Riley cope with her trauma.
Episode 15: Girl Meets Fashion Show
Riley is asked to participate in a fashion show and finds herself indecisive. Topanga learns that her father has died.
Episode 16: Girl Meets Equality
A teenager at the school experiences racist slurs for being arabic. Riley and the others fight to help him.
Episode 17: Girl Meets Motorcycle (Part 1)
Maya decides to sneak off on Shawn's motorcycle but gets in a wreck. She's in critical condition and Shawn finds himself in a tough spot.
Episode 18: Girl Meets Motorcycle (Part 2)
Jonathan Tucker comes back to help Shawn through this hard time. Maya is going to live but her recovery will take time.
Episode 19: Girl Meets New Year
In the finale, Riley finds herself at her bay window without Maya, trying to decide on what she wants the new year to be like.

i’m thinking about them so here are some brody and the gays headcanons @solli @imogenlefay
Eli C:
deeply average. i mean, he has no particular talents whatsoever. he gets average grades (his best subject is physics) and his fashion sense is pretty standard - t-shirts and jeans and sneakers mostly. he’s just the most average guy you can imagine
he introduced sebastian and elaine to each other because elaine was in desperate need of a roommate (fic coming soon about this bc i miss elastian roommates
his last name is Collins (see: deeply average)
bisexual king
elaine:
rollerblades with dani
majored in gender/women’s studies at louisville probably
has just as big of an ego as seb but is less annoying with it
can’t cook rice
favourite ice cream flavour is vanilla - this becomes a very heated debate during grocery runs
regularly pretends to be peoples fake partner for kicks and minor things in exchange (eg scratchers and an ani defranco tee)
adam:
swiftie
allergic to citrus
has somehow always avoided the fate of being designated driver even though he doesn’t tend to drink
had a 1D phase. idk what to tell you. his ringtone was little things for a long while
introduces brody to the rest bc that makes the most sense. he’s the only who met brody in canon
dani:
will regularly disappear without telling anyone where she’s going
like completely drop of the grid. one time she just left to backpack south america. she came back bc she missed her guitar and was worried they would sell it
drags elliot into a meeting with the rest of the gang bc she accidentally double-booked
makes excellent apple pie & adam loves her for it
chandler:
was barred from visiting sebastian and elaine’s apartment at one point bc he kept breaking things by accident
has a cat in ohio named clive
thinks sebastian is an idiot for not going into performing. no one else actively agrees bc sebastian can pay his bills on time
also had a 1D phase. his favourite song steal your girl bc he was in deep denial
probably liked percy jackson
elliot:
honestly i don’t think i have any??
sebastian:
can’t swim
swiftie (fav album is reputuation bc it’s seb)
maybe just a little bit still obsessed with blaine. but he’s not pining. of course not.
didn’t want anything to do with adam, dani or elliot when he first realised they had been friends/friend adjacent to kurt and rachel. this was 4 months into their friendship
once tried to get elaine to change her name bc it sounds too much like blaine
hates beer
will eat an entire packet of raw cookie dough without blinking
political science major
adhd
brody:
finds it really funny to be the straight friend
gets along well with the group bc sex positivity is important and yes i am bitter about Feud
will argue that the best part of twilight was any part without bella edward and jacob. he wrote a paper on it once
was honestly shocked to find out sebastian was in show choir in high school. just thought he was a nerd
believed eli was straight for like 6 months because he’s so deeply average
got harmony to join the gang bc he missed rachel and she was close enough
bonus Harmony:
got the role rachel turned down in s6 and became good friends with jesse
only thinks sebastian was right i’m not persuing the arts because he’s just as good at poli-sci. however she does still make him rehearse with her when brody is unavailable.
hates kurt
lactose intolerant
has never tasted coffee ever and sometimes switches sebastian and elaine’s out for decaf
i’ll be honest, this post got away from me and now i have to think of elliot headcanons.

Damn! The deaths of cool people are coming thick and fast in 2022. Noteworthy that Rachel Nagy – the charismatic, tough-but-tender chanteuse of gritty veteran American garage punk band The Detroit Cobras - should die just days after fellow bad girl Ronnie Spector, as she’s arguably Spector’s spiritual daughter / successor. Nagy’s cause of death hasn’t been disclosed and even her age seems shrouded in mystery. Thankfully, The Detroit Cobras are well represented on Spotify. Why not celebrate Nagy’s artistry by cranking up their essential first two albums Mink, Rat or Rabbit (1998) and Life, Love and Leaving (2001)?
