Seems like Glaz is coming to Extraction, as well as one of the JTF2 ops. Recruit gets twelve total weapons (8:4 primary to secondary ratio). The devs changed their mind about shields. Something is being done with the gonne.
The loadout section seems to reveal plans for Glaz, and one of the JTF2 ops. Likely Frost, as why would they be considering the Super 90, if Buck's gadget is an underbarrel shotgun? Unless Melusi is being expiremented (fuck) with.

I don't know much about Rainbow Six, so give me your best guess: How's this SECOND group of Rainbow Six people getting isekai'd into Terra?
There's two ways they can go about it!
The first would be Hypergryph making their own original story elements once again. Although a sci-fi, Rainbow Six was still somewhat grounded as military fiction and R6: Siege did not feature mad scientists creating zombies with interdimensional cancer rocks. All that was stuff that Hypergryph added in themselves. Funnily enough, after Originium Dust, Rainbow would then go on to actually do more fantasy shit themselves, introducing alien monsters in a post apocalyptic future in Rainbow Six: Extraction.
HG could easily make up a new story about Ela informing the rest of Rainbow about Ash, Tachanka, Blitz, and Frost's disappearance in the lab, and their investigation into portal technology leads to another group getting stuck inside Terra.
The second way would be actually using the ongoing storyline as a jumping off point.
In Rainbow Six: Siege, Rainbow has currently broken up into two rival factions: Rainbow, and Nighthaven. Rainbow is led by Ash, while Nighthaven is led by Kali.
The story goes that Nighthaven was originally a PMC founded by Kali, the scion of a wealthy family and a martial artist that was nevertheless barred from joining combat units in the Indian military due to being a woman. Her partnership with a genius inventor called Osa led to Nighthaven becoming an incredibly influential and powerful organization with tech that rivaled Rainbow's, which was ridiculous given that Rainbow as a unit was backed by like, every country in the world.
To prevent a potential conflict should Nighthaven end up being hired by a supervillain or whatever, the head of Rainbow, Six, instead decided to hire Nighthaven and invited them to officially become Rainbow operators. Kali agreed, so they merged into one unit.
The Rainbow and Nighthaven operators got along, but Ash and Kali didn't. Kali eventually planned to leave Rainbow and go private again after a couple of years, but not before courting the other Rainbow operators with the idea of joining her instead.
A certain event saw Ash and Kali beat each other up, and then Kali decided it was time to go and removed Nighthaven from Rainbow, while successfully poaching a bunch of their operators. Six was assassinated by an unrelated villain afterwards, leaving Rainbow in really dire straits as an organization. With a lot of their manpower gone and the unrelated villain turning out to be a former rogue Rainbow member, they're pretty screwed right now. Perhaps even more so now that four of their remaining members got teleported into Catgirl world.
Now, while Fuze was not one of the Rainbow operators who defected to Nighthaven, he WAS one of those that Kali tried to recruit. One of the NPCs from Originium Dust, Ela, DID end up joining Kali too. I can see an approach where Rainbow sucks up its pride asks Nighthaven for help locating their missing members, and Kali agrees because Osa (who is a big 60s sci-fi nut) hears the words "teleportation" and demands to study the remains of Dr. Levi's lab. Hell, she'd probably want to study Originium too.
Osa could recreate and stabilize the portal creation, then they send in a team to explore the alien catgirl world.
Maybe Kali goes too. She's one of the easiest fits into the Arknights tower defense format (she's a sniper in Siege) and she'll get to beat up Ash in another world too while also lording it over Rainbow for rescuing them.

Background Story
Born and abandonned in the Street of New york, Azura had always felt like an orphan, left in the street of New York City since he was a newborn. Growing up on the streets, he was no stranger to a life of hard knocks and never knowing where he would find his next meal or a safe place to rest.
He eventually joined the Navy Seals when he came of such young age. His skills and determination earned him a reputation of excellence, and a discharge with honors. He settled in America and soon enough his dedicated attitude was noticed by an unlikely source - ex-CIA agents.
The agents, impressed with his military background, saw the potential in him and decided to do something extraordinary. They adopted him. This was the start of a new, more secure life for Azura and a chance at a better future.
The missions he undertook were never easy, and his courage and skill saved thousands of lives. Thanks to Azura's converted status and adopted family, his life had come full circle.
Trained in the ways of espionage, Azura quickly rose through the ranks to become a full-fledged CIA agent. His ability to crack codes and negotiate peace was second to none. Yet, he felt something was missing. He decided to take a second job as a cybersecurity specialist. His work brought him into the public eye, and soon enough he caught the attention of Kate Laswell, the leader of Task Force 141.

You wanna write a story with a militaristic setting, like CoD or R6S? You wanna create XXXXX, but you don't know where to start?
Well, lucky for you or not I know what that feels like and I've also got the combat / real life experience to help ya out!

Pt. 10 / ?: PMC's and PMSC's
What's a mercenary / PMC / PMSC?
PMC = Private Military Contractor
PMSC = Private Military Security Company
A mercenary, sometimes also referred to as a "soldier of fortune" or a "hired gun", is a party joining a militaristic conflict for personal gains. They're not affiliated with any official military force and are an outsider to the conflict.
Mercenaries are defined as follows:
• A mercenary is “specially recruited”
• A mercenary is to “take direct part in hostilities”
• A mercenary is “motivated by private gain”
• A mercenary is not “a national of a party to the conflict”
• A mercenary is not “a member of the armed forces of a party to the conflict”
• A mercenary is not “sent on official duty by a non-party state”
Now, militaries nowadays don't just go and hire mercenaries as in people to help them fight or even conduct attacks. The term mercenary isn't even used in its traditional sense, and that's where the so called PMC's / PMSC's come in - the private military contractors. One could argue that a PMC is nothing other than a mercenary with a fancy name, however, they don't meet the definition of a mercenary in the Geneva convention. (Hence why governments get away with hiring them, among many other reasons.)
PMC's specialise in providing combat and protection forces, their work ranging from small scale training missions to providing highly trained and professionally equipped combat units. The UN has officially banned the use of mercenaries in 2001, considering the services provided by PMC's to be mercenary activity. The United States, China, and Russia however reject the notion of PMC's being mercenaries and continue to employ them.
Legality and why PMC's get off the hook so easily
PMC's are murky at best and downright evil at worst. They've been a staple in the Afghan and Iraq wars, as well as Africa, making headlines with nothing less than gruesome war crimes. There is an abundance of journalism covering the West’s reliance on PMCs, especially their heavy use by the American government to lower troop counts in non-lucrative wars like Iraq and Afghanistan. There is also an abundance of reports on the various war crimes and human rights abuses committed by PMCs, like the contractors who gunned down and tortured civilians during aforementioned conflicts. (Operation Blackwater in case you wish to go down the rabbit hole of war crimes.)
By hiring contractors, governments can lower troop counts and official death tolls. All the while, the imperialist ambitions of nations can advance through the use of these forces, while keeping their own name clean. Someone else does the work for them, and if things go south, everyone acts surprised and denounces affiliations with any mercenaries. In other words: PMC's provide an opportunity for deniability.
What makes these PMC's so unique is their status as private entities: They're not registered businesses that investors can buy into. It's a network carefully woven and upkept by the highest ranking, most influential people, like an open secret.

Lorcan was on the Nautiloid. He can be found in a cave along the beach that has a dead (very pulverized) Illithid outside.
G2. Do the other companions have special comments or reactions upon recruiting your Tav?
Considering shadowheart’s comments about halsin and karlach, I feel like she’d say something flirtatious about his size/prowess. Wyll and Lae’zel will have comments regarding Lorcan being skilled for having taken out the illithid. Gale will have a comment about Lorcan seeming… different. Astarion might also have a quip about Lorcan seeming different.

Hello Kiki! Hope you're doing well!
The other day I was snooping around on the r6s wiki and I was checking out the names that some operators have since I realised I only know a handful of them. As I was looking at Alibi's and Maestro's names I thought to myself (I am italian) 'damn, they really have such basic italian names and surnames'. Then I realised that I also have such a basic italian name and surname like so many other italians. So, even if they sounded weird to me at first impact, their names are actually pretty realistic.
So my question is, for you or anyone else on your blog that can answer me, what do you all think of the operators names that come from languages or countries you're familiar with?

This is a very interesting ask, and one that has had me thinking about it for the whole day. I had this "this is such a basic name tho" some time ago with a friend, in relation to a different game/characters, but as you point out, it is realistic as well cause for a name to be basic/common that means a lot of real people are named like that.
I can only answer for the Spaniards, which I'll analyze in detail under the cut, but I want to encourage anyone reading this to reblog and share their opinions about names for any operator from their countries! I think it might be a very fun and interesting collaborative thread :D
Now, onto the Mira & Jackal issue:
Let's start with Mira, actual name Elena María Alvarez.
Right off the bat, I can tell there's a surname missing. In Spain, we have 2 surnames, first one is the dad's first surname, and the second one is the mother's first surname. So Mira's full name is not really known here, huh. And no, María is not a surname, it's some sort of middle name in this case.
Of those names, María is the super common, most sterotypical possible name ever alongisde Carmen and Cristina. Also, María is very used in combined names, such as the one Mira has. Except María tends to be the first one in the combo, not the other way around. So Elena María is kinda rare/weird compared to the common María Elena, but still possible.
Now, for Jackal, aka, Ryad Ramírez Al-Hassar.
Here we have the two surnames as it's traditional, Ramirez being the one he got from his dad and Al-Hassar being the one he got from his mom. From this we can deduce his mother is of arabic descent, which is extremely common in his place of birth, Ceuta (a small Spanish territory in the coast of Morocco, same as Melilla). His name, Ryad, is also of arabic origin, which is unsurprising. It's a common name in Ceuta and Melilla, since mixed families and arabic influence are the most mundane thing, but for the broader context of Spain, Ryad is an odd/uncommon name.
Which brings me to a personal HC kinda related to this, being that due to the islamophobia very present in some corners of the country, he probably had a hard time with his fellow recruits when he first joined the national police, due to his name & second surname.

He keeps mostly to himself and does not appear to be a “people person.” After getting to know him, he is very self confident and somewhat arrogant and cocky. However he is hesitant to discuss his personal life, especially concerning his ex wife and estranged daughter. It is apparent his divorce left a few wounds that haven’t healed. But he remains collected and level-headed in the field not letting his personal life interfere in the mission. Neither does he let his age affect his performance. Overall he looks to be a strong asset in the fight against Deimos.
Born to an affluent and political family in the DC Metro area James spent most of his childhood in boarding schools in England, developing a slight British accent. This caused a rift between him and his parents which ultimately led to him joining the Navy out of spite for them.
2012 Begins an affair with Lilith while her CO.
2014 Recommends Lilith to the Obsidian Program. After failed attempts by James to remain in tough with Lilith, James’ wife receives photos of James and Lilith. She eventually divorces him, taking their daughter with her. This results in James becoming estranged from her.
2015 The Obsidian Program is shut down, listing all candidates as deceased. Having lost his family and now believing Lilith to be dead, he falls into a downward spiral emotionally and buries himself in his military career.
2023 Recruited to Rainbow and finds Lilith is still alive. Tries to respect her marriage but find he still has strong feelings for her. Also begins to develop feelings for her husband.
Knows how to play piano and violin. Was urged to play piano by his parents, chose to learn violin to spite them.
Prefers tea to coffee.
Fluent in French and is fond of visiting France. Took Lilith to Paris on more than one occasion.

I'm not gonna take your money haha. People are welcome to support through the tip option if they ever want to just to show love but it's never a requirement, I'll still fulfill requests when they're open and do the things that inspire me regardless.
The problem right now is just not being particularly inspired to write another Siege longfic (at this moment). Writing a longfic takes A LOT of time and energy and I just don't have it in me right now. I work full time, just started a per diem job, and I have a number of other projects I'm currently engaged in.
However, that doesn't mean I won't be coming back to this and perhaps when things quiet down for me I'll consider it again. I love the thought of playing with some of the other operators in a world I've already created. It takes some of the pressure to make an entire new universe off my shoulders.
If I did do it, it would probably be shorter, maybe in the 10 chapter range, but I won't say no, it's just not going to be until I feel more inspired. Forcing something without inspiration won't turn out anything that I will be proud of, or that you will enjoy.
That all being said, your support and everyone else's is noted and I can't tell you how much it means to have the love of so many in the community.

R1: Does your character make friends easily?
not really. my hc is that luther is that socially awkward dude who’s always just lingering in the background of events. he’s always willing to help others but only if they come up to him first.
R5: Who is your character’s closest friend? How did they meet?
ethan, when he recruited luther into the cia noc list team. they’ve been [whatever their equivalent of besties is] ever since. (lol)
R6: Has your character had to end a friendship? Why?
i don’t think so. i feel like luther was always very quiet and shy, and doesn’t really make “friends” outside his agency. he only lets himself get close to people he knows he can trust.
