MOST GLEE EPISODES - 15) Quinn Fabray 73/121. Dianna Agron
When Quinn appeared in season 1, she was the conniving Cheerio, a member of the god squad and celibacy club, despite getting pregnant when seduced by Puck after too many wine coolers. She lied that Finn was the dad, got kicked out by her parents, then struggled for the rest of the season. Baby Beth was born in season 1 last episode.
A member of the Unholy trinity, with Santana and Brittany - they often conspired with Sue in season one to being down the Glee club.
She was friends with Mercedes and Tina. Also an on off friendship with Rachel. In a season 3 after the accident, she was friends with Artie and Joe.
Tumblr media
She became a skank in season 3, and attempted to steal Beth back from Shelby. She was also paralysed in a car accident, but recovered.
Tumblr media
Iconic performance - I say a little prayer. Her best - Never can say goodbye boy. She was also involved in many group numbers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her on off relationships with Finn and Puck often left her as Rachel’s rival and enemy, but the girls did reconcile before they graduated. She also dated Sam in season 2.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Quinn was her year’s valedictorian, and got into Yale. She came back on occasions during four to six, including hooking up with Santana in I Do. In five she appeared back with Biff, a stick up guy from Yale, but began dating Puck.

What are the most overrated and underrated characters?
hello anon! i'm assuming you mean glee, so i'm just going to answer for that show. if you meant some other fandom please lmk. this is probably going to get...extremely harsh, even by my standards, so i’m putting it under a cut.
also, this is entirely based on my fandom experiences and is all subjective! everyone is entitled to their own favorites and all of this is just my opinion.
overrated characters:
sebastian smythe - he's not super popular on other fandom platforms, but for reasons i'll never understand, he's well loved on here despite the lack of personality or development. i guess being a white gay man has its perks 🤷🏻‍♀️
quinn fabray - i really, really dislike her character. she's so poorly written and her storylines are badly constructed and uninteresting. the constant backsliding of her character is extremely frustrating considering how she keeps learning the same lessons over and over and then tossing them out the window shortly afterward. it made sense in seasons 2 and 3 if you squinted hard enough, but by s4 i was just fed up with her constantly going back to her old ways. but regression aside, i also found her obsession with popularity and status irritating as fuck given how the show never really delved deep into why she cared so much. there were a couple of small hints here and there regarding her family, but they never developed her obsession with having a popular boyfriend and winning prom queen as much as they could have, so it just felt shallow to most viewers. her romantic relationships were also...not great and felt were painful to watch, especially since i headcanon her as a lesbian. that being said, if she was canonically a lesbian, i might have liked her more and found her more sympathetic, similar to santana. but alas, RIB were too cowardly to give that to us. anyway, i also don’t think she’s funny, her dynamics with other characters (aside from santana) were either dropped or were not compelling, and i don't enjoy her voice, nor do i think she has the best stage presence. i do, however, think dianna is a talented actress, and i think she deserved much better than the crappy storylines that she was given.
sam evans - i do actually like sam, however i feel like he's let off of the hook far too easily in terms of his more 'problematic' (god i hate that word) actions (see here for more detail on this). i also don't really get why he's most people's favorite male character despite not really doing much throughout the series aside from dating every single girl on the show and befriending blaine. the writers didn’t care about him enough to give him any sort of consistent development or stories of his own, and it’s hard to get invested in his character when it was so badly written. again, i don’t dislike him or anything, but i do feel like a lot of praise that he gets is for doing the bare minimum for a straight white guy and isn’t really warranted.
mike chang - i feel similarly about him as i do about sam, except mike got even less material than sam on the show. 99% of his praise comes from him being ‘the most unproblematic glee character,’ and i just don’t think that not being problematic is worth praising. he may not have done anything wrong...but he also didn’t do anything at all. i still like him and i think harry’s talent deserved better, i'm just not invested and i think he gets too much hype despite having such a minimal role.
brittany s. pierce - i’m not going to claim that she’s overrated on tumblr because i do see a lot of hate for her character on here, but on other platforms like tiktok, she (along with the entire unholy trinity) is very well loved. fans claim that she was ‘unproblematic’ even though she’s done a lot of really shitty things, and all of her racist/bullying remarks (the unique/mercedes joke for example) get brushed off as ‘iconic.’ there’s also the fact that brittana is routinely praised for being the ‘healthiest’ couple, which is, again, not true, and that gets really frustrating to see and has really soured me on her character.
season 2 blaine - listen...y’all know i adore blaine anderson so, so much, but 95% of that comes from seasons 4-6, when he was actually a real, full character. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: the only thing that was superior about s2 blaine was his hair (and some of his outfits).  early!klaine is precious, but s2 blaine as an individual was boring af. i know people are obsessed w/ unproblematic characters, and that’s why ‘perfect’ s2 blaine is most of this fandom’s favorite, but it’s still disappointing to see that viewers would rather watch a cardboard cutout with no personality than a flawed but interesting character. imo s4-6 blaine deserves all the hype that s2 blaine gets.
underrated characters:
carole hudson-hummel - when it comes to talking about glee parents, burt hummel is normally brought up most, which is fair considering that his character is amazing and definitely got the most screentime and development throughout the series, but i honestly think that carole deserves just as much love. her response to finding out that finn was ‘having a baby’ was so kind and compassionate. she also allowed quinn to live with them, judgement free, and i don’t think she gets the respect she deserves for that. she was just a fantastic mother to finn and mother figure to kurt, and her relationship with burt was so wholesome and sweet. as heartbreaking as it was, i also found her mini arc of grief over finn very powerful and i’m glad that glee gave that to us. she's just all-around one of the most loving people on the show, and i adore her so much.
elliott gilbert - i do think he gets a fair amount of love from the extreme kurt stan side of fandom, but since that’s not a part of the fandom that i particularly care for, i don’t see much content for him. i’d say he’s pretty underrated within the general fandom, and i wish there was more kelliott friendship fic and/or other content out there. kelliott friendship in klaine fic is always so much fun and i love it when writers utilize him in their work. kelliott is also one of the two non-klaine kurt ships i genuinely think are good, and i wouldn’t have minded if they’d dated in s4 instead of kadam.
mercedes jones - this might seem like an odd one because mercedes is now very well liked in this fandom, but if i’m being honest....a lot of the love for mercedes seems performative. since there’s no real reason to dislike mercedes outside of racism, i've witnessed quite a few people jumping on the bandwagon of liking her, yet they never praise her unless it’s sancedes related or it’s using her character to shit on rachel. i rarely see any mercedes content in this fandom that’s purely and genuinely about her, and that makes me sad bc my girl deserves all of the love. until people appreciate her for who she is, i’ll say that she remains underrated.
kitty wilde - this is probably super controversial given that kitty herself is really divisive, but i think she’s a great character. her actions at the beginning of her storyline are deplorable, but that level of evil is something we hadn’t previously seen on the show and was lowkey fascinating. she’s...honestly the only s4 newbie i found interesting, and i am so glad that she was the one who was brought back in s6 to finish her story. i love her scheming side, particularly in 6x05, i love her snark, i love her friendship with rachel and her cute little background moments with other characters, and i love that she’s definitely a klaine stan. i love that she got to show off her vulnerable side in episodes like 4x20 and 6x05. i love that she found a genuine passion for singing and dancing, and i love that she did eventually become a better person through the glee club. i love her relationship with artie. i love how talented she is, and i love how much energy becca tobin brought to the role. i’m just going to say that if the rumors are true that kitty was created specifically to be a better quinn....she succeeded in doing that in every way 🤷🏻‍♀️
the s6 newbies - this is kind of a cheap cop-out because these kids were barely there, but i see a lot of other minor characters getting a lot of love, so i’m going to spread my s6 newbie agenda here. these kids were miles better than the ones we got in s4, and i bet that if we’d gotten this crop of kids in earlier seasons instead of the bland s4 batch, then the show would've fared a lot better. jane is a goddamn powerhouse, and i love her feminist, take-no-shit attitude. mason and madison’s twin schtick is really endearing. roderick’s voice is like butter, and minus the fatphobic jokes i think his character had so much potential. spencer is the only one i don’t really care for but he does offer an interesting perspective due to his experiences growing up gay in a different time than kurt, blaine, dave karofsky, etc. all of these kids are so talented, none of them were carbon copies of the originals, and they could’ve easily grown into fantastic characters had they gotten more development.
this is all super controversial, so hopefully i don’t get eaten alive for posting something that goes off on several fan favorite characters, lol. but it is all subjective, and i respect anyone that likes the overrated characters or dislikes the underrated ones. all of these characters contributed to what made the show so great, and what i like about this fandom is that we all gravitate to different characters, yet all of our preferences and contributions to fandom are equally valid.
(except for sebastian, because he really is the worst.)

ZZZZZZ oh sorry falling asleep here! What a snorefest! just finished watched & still not sure what the heck that was all about?!!! I mean Cheryl? Her Mom? And when has she ever mistreated Nana Rose? Are these writers even aware of what they're writing anymore or are they half asleep too? And I'm already soo over Chad and Hiram! And while I'm at it, what are they doing to poor Jug?! This show is soo messed up in so many ways, at this rate I don't see it making it past another season!
2. okay so we now it's Riverdale and such but (eye roll) honestly.. so now we have psycoldelic mushrooms & gargolye kings returning? sorry for the spelling, but you get my drift. and ahh yes, serial killer weddings and such to. hope Charles makes it through wouldn't mind seeing him again. before i go exactly what did happen last nite?
3. I'm pretty sure there is more going on with Alice. Since the timejump, even before Polly disappeared, she was drinking a lot. She seems even not to have a job anymore. No matter what time of the day she's at home. The whinery is just an addon to an already-before messed up Alice this season .And it's weird that Alice AND Jughead have a drinking problem at the same time. Something big must have happened, something what affected both of them. My guess is, it has to do with FP
4. Wyatt Nash’s performance as Charles might have been one of my favourites in the series to date. He was so unsettling and unhinged, which we haven’t seen out of his character at all before. He was even creepier to me than Chic, who was honestly more funny in this ep to me than anything.
1 - I love the Blossoms and I will not apologize for it. Cheryl, Penelope and Nana Rose are the loves of my life, and I was so glad to see them at full tilt crazy. I squealed when I saw Penelope again. My queen, my psychopathic icon.
2 - Mothmen, not gargoyle king! I think all of us are happy to leave the Gargoyle King mess in the past. No issue on the spelling! I loved seeing Charles again.
3 - Hmmm....not sure. Alice is a character that...well, Madchen is kind of done wrong. She has, in the past, appeared to be a bad actress, because of the subpar writing that is done for her. Alice is a wildly inconsistent character that is whatever the plot needs her to be, and that changes every season. We can never figure out Alice’s motivations, because we don’t know who Alice is as a character. She is constantly changing. She is the Quinn Fabray of Riverdale.
4 - Oh, I have endless love for Wyatt Nash. I follow him on Instagram and have never regretted that decision. I also love Charles, because we are finally seeing him in his true self. He was Charles The FBI Agent all through season 4, but that was just a cover for the truly bananas Charles that really exists. I loved to see it. We just broke out of prison, so clearly, the first thing to do is to get married at home, because #Family.

top 5 glee girlies?
1. Mercedes Jones! I love her drive and ambition, I like how she’s ambitious but still grounded, sweet, strong, and incredibly talent, I could rant about my love for Mercedes Jones for a very long time 😭
2. Quinn Fabray! Absolute icon who deserved way better. She had so much character growth from season one, she came off as the, “basic mean girl cheerleader” but was a strong independent women who was never afraid to speak her mind! :)
3. Tina Conan-Chang! Again another icon who deserved better, she was such a sweetheart and was sadly always left in the back, in later seasons it was obvious they didn’t know what to do with her, but I still love her lots :,)
4. Marley/Unique! I just love them okay, please don’t make me choose, they are both super sweet and interesting characters.
5. Rachel Berry! This was actually surprising to me🤔 but I find Rachel’s character absolutely infuriating a lot of the time, but I think she’s just really interesting?
Like I think she’s a good example of, “when do we stop being the underdog?” because all her life she was treated awfully, (was constantly made fun of, bullied, etc) so she always just treated people awfully back, Rachel was taught to be seen you have to be awful. But after she was seen she was still awful. She kinda became the thing she hated; but never realized it. Idk if that makes sense or not 😭 also I like her ambition! :)

This is a Glee post about the Kurt and Quinn fight about Karofsky’s suicide attempt. It’s probably gonna get ranty, I watched the clip on youtube and I didn’t want to right my opinion in the comments because it will probably be long and it could possible end up turning into being about Quinn’s issue and how the show angers me with how they treat her and her clear problems. I haven’t written it yet, so we’ll see. And you know me on my bullshit especially about  Quinn should be in the place where in the year 2020 I still have a Quinn icon.
I love Quinn Fabray , if you couldn’t tell so I'm definitely biased towards her, but I do understand what she said about suicide was insensitive and I don't agree with it. I still think Kurt is in the wrong, one because he shouldn't downplay what Quinn's been through, and also I don’t think it fair for him to act like he understands what Karofsky’s going through just because he’s also gay because Kurt’s coming out experience was positive and he didn’t lose people in that process and just Kurt relationship with his sexuality is very different from the way were shown Karofsky’s.
And to be honest(and this is where people may be pissed at me) I feel like Karofsky’s experience with being outed and his peers and friends reactions is closer to Quinn’s experience with her pregnancy then Kurt's coming out experience and I want to say I’m not equating Quinn’s pregnancy with being gay, I’m bringing this up because I think Kurt and Quinn have experienced different parts of what Karofsky’s was going through. Kurt obviously understands the mental and emotional struggle that figuring out and coming to terms with your sexuality is. Quinn understand the isolation and just awfulness when people you thought cared about you and were your friends turned on you and just dropped you and/or made fun of you( the glee girls in mash up said some not great things in reference to her and her pregnancy and Santana bringing up her having a baby in their fight and we never see a cheerio who’s not San or Britt speak to her in season 1 after her pregnancy news drops) This is going to sound shallow but, both Quinn and Karofsky care about where they are on the social hierarchy of high school and they both had their spot at the top ripped out from under them. They also both did not get to control when important life changing information about themselves was released to the world or their families. Quinn only got to tell Finn about her pregnancy her self every other time it was announced she didn’t get to do it or know it was going to happen, and that caused her to be blindsided by changes in her life and personally I think she should have been allowed to tell people when she was ready. I know that it is different from being outed but, I do think it has in common the feeling of being blindsided, and not being able to prepare for the worst/ peoples reactions and having people know a very personal thing about you without your permission. Writing this section made me realize i’d probably be significantly less pissed off if Santana would have called out Quinn instead, I still would have been upset about dismissing what Quinn has gone through, but since Santana has experienced being outed and having to tell family before she was ready and even family rejection over her sexuality as well as her fearing losing high school status, I think she does understand Karofsky’s experience so has higher ground to stand on.
So now this section will be about what Quinn has gone through, why I feel dismissing it is shitty and the way Kurt said specifically upset me, it might get into how season 3 treats her as a whole but we’ll see. So like i have an issue with the fact that he said the world never stopped loving her cause that’s just not true. Her father called her a disappointment and kicked her out of her house and as far as we are aware they still are not in contact(like he doesn’t show up at her HS graduation and she got into Yale) and that is parent who is suppose to love you unconditionally. And Sue a person she looked up to and respected publicly told her she was a disgrace. She lost her social standing and it seems like most of her friends and losing popularity might seem shallow but, it was important to Quinn. Also just the fact that she made the effort to rejoined the cheerios even though the culture of it is awful with the weigh ins and Sue’s shakes proves to me that she definitely didn’t feel like she was still loved by the world or the school. Back to the parent thing, I feel like its big part of why Kurt saying this is so frustrating to me because one of the stand things about Quinn’s pregnancy is the fact that her parents completely abandoned her and didn’t even try to support her because that is something Kurt could never get because he has the most supportive dad in the world. Like being a pregnant teen is hard, you have to make a lot of adult decisions and experience all the physical and hormonal changes while being this extreme outsider in your age group is difficult enough(which Kurt kind of dismissed)but, you add on not having familial support and having to worry about where your going to live and holy shit that’s hard and awful and emotional tasking. Also learning that your parents love for you is conditional can not be an easy thing to go through emotionally. And the world clearly didn’t love her at the beginning of season 3, when no major adult in her life made any attempts to help her, Sue used her breakdown for her own gain and Will just screams at her and tells her to grow up and says a bunch of mean things to her that are easily disapproved.
Moving on to dismissing her struggles at the beginning of season three as a bad dye job, its just very frustrating to me cause it very clear that that wasn’t it. And like I’m aware that Kurt as a character is likely unaware of all the shit going on with Quinn in season 3, but the person who wrote that line should be aware of what’s been going on with Quinn so I’m very confused about there intention. Because I think its clear even to people who don’t sympathize with Quinn that she was not in her a good mental state when Shelby was there, (i think that’s like until the 8th or 9th episode) and that clearly shows something else is going on and I believe that Quinn not being okay didn’t come out of nowhere, the last 3 episodes of season 2 had Quinn not being in the best place ending with her big meltdown in New York. Some people read/interpret Quinn as being depressed at least at the beginning of season 3, I kind of agree with that interpretation and definitely believe she had/has some sort of mental illness/disorder, I just don’t want to personally be like she definitely has this blank and diagnosis her in anyway. But I don’t think her issues just appeared they all go back to her pregnancy and giving up Beth and just don’t think she dealt with her feeling and was repressing them and living in a state of denial throughout most of season 2. This is going to become even longer if I allow myself to go on that tangent, (so maybe another post to explain that stuff and Quinn headcanons and stuff) but basically I have an issue with dismissing early season 3 Quinn as just rebellion and things like that because it clear that it alot more then that.
Kurt also basically said that Quinn doesn’t understand self- loathing and despair and I don’t think i need to give examples of Quinn not loving herself I feel like that’s pretty obvious, just like watch the show. But despair like her dad pretty much disowned her and giving up her baby clearly fucked her up, so I feel like she‘s felt despair. Kurt also acting like the fact that she’s going to Yale somehow eliminates her pain and I just don’t understand that.
Also just want to make it understood that the intentions of this post is not to hate on Kurt. I just don’t get why this scene exists, like it has always felt to me like its one of those scenes where the intention is just to make people hate Quinn and not empathize with her since it takes huge struggles that she had that caused empathy in viewers and dismissing them. And with the idea that existed at the time the show was on that, Ryan Murphy didn’t like that people liked Quinn, it’s one of the explanations that makes sense to me. Also that this is in the same episode as Quinn’s car accident is so fucking crazy and i don’t like it.
