I did a whole bunch of 2 minute poses on quickposes.com today and I'm very happy about how they look after I haven't really been able to draw for the last month

Quickposes, a good place to practice gesture drawing for free
If you ever wanted to practice drawing the human figure quickly, this is one option. Quickposes let's you play a timed slideshow of images to sketch from. You can also practice sketching landscapes, urban landscapes, animals, portraits, and more!
If you make an account you get more features. The website will track how much time you've spent practice gesture drawing, and save sets of images to practice from.

Todays sketchbook drawings are more from the Book of Lamentations archive of recent life drawings with @thequeenofheartbreak and @paulg.art for LIAS. Today’s offerings are my second set from that week’s sessions looking at Matisse’s paired down line drawing and cut out drawings. It’s always great to draw with the patrons but that week I felt I was learning new ways to look at negative space and reducing information down to essential line. It felt like this week’s drawings were really about what to put in and what to leave out. The first is in stick and ink, the second and third are cut outs from pre painted paper in wine red acrylic followed by another stick and ink and the last a less successful felt-tip speed drawing of the same pose when I realised that my ink was soaking through and staining the following pages. #zoomlifedrawing #zoomclasses #archive #sketchbookdrawing #sketchbook #the_liverpool_nude #zoomlifedrawing #continuouslinedrawing #experimentaldrawing #lifemodel #quickposes #liverpoolartist #liverpoolindependentartschool (at Minster Court) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf13Vxes8pC/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Todays sketchbook drawings are back to the Book of Lamentations archive of recent life drawings with @thequeenofheartbreak and @paulg.art for LIAS.
