yknow its interesting to me how ppl read the final bit of the monologue where oliver says that sometimes he hated felix as like. genuinely contradictory and therefore usurping of the fact that he also loved him. because 1) multiple things can be true at once 2) none of yall know what an unreliable narrator is holy shit 3) my immediate first reading of that scene was specifically that *he hated how much he loved him and how helpless it rendered him*. especially considering the one thing we really seem to know about oliver is just how much he hates being humiliated, just how much he hates being out of control. and with felix he is utterly undone. because every single shot in the montage where he says he loved him is obviously romanticized shots of felix looking like a god yes but. but. every shot where he says he hated him is not of felix being cruel, not of felix doing anything worthy of garnering hatred, but of *oliver*. oliver falling to his knees. oliver crying. oliver sobbing. oliver humilated. oliver covered in grave dirt. oliver wretched and helpless and agonized, wracked in pain by the love that has overtaken him and will not let him go. he resents it. he is repulsed by it. he is a moth to a fucking flame and it *burns*. he is swallowed whole by it, and it frightens him. consumed by the desire to consume, his object of desire reduced to ash by the intensity of the flame, and he himself left badly wounded with nothing to show for it. of *course* he hates him. by god i loved him. how anyone can think those things dont go hand in hand is baffling to me, really

Some info about my Metal Gear character:

-Code name: Quick Moth

-Nickname: Death Moth

Explanation of her code name: in FOXHOUND the code name is composed of the member's ability + an animal that is associated with them (Example: Sniper Wolf, Revolver Ocelot. These being experts in their respective weapons, or in the case of Decoy Octopus and Psycho Mantis is due to their peculiar abilities.)

In the case of Quick Moth, it is due to her mental and physical speed on the battlefield, making her almost imperceptible (Even Mantis has a hard time reading her mind)

Like moths, she can easily move in the dark without being detected.

The nickname is due to a belief of the relation of moths with death

They are often related to bad omens. Moths are feared and at the same time respected since it is believed that if you hurt one, you or a family member will die soon after.

In relation to Quick Moth, every time she is near she is feared; Not only because of what she is capable of, but because it means that Mantis is nearby and if she weas to be hurt then it would mean the death of the person who dared hurt her.

Her attitude tends to clash with Liquid's, because she often challenges the authority and her superiors.

Moth is an ENTP (which is why he clashes with Liquid's personality, as he is ENTJ)

If you claim to accept genderfluid people while not understanding that for some people gender has changed and they’re now a trans man but were a girl or vice versa and trying to police how we identify ourself you don’t support genderfluid and trans people Im sorry. Some of us were always our gender, some of us used to be x and are now y, for some of us that changes regularly, for some of us we’re both but may lean one way or the other more or have that change and it still doesn’t invalidate that we’re both. Some of us are non binary and some of us aren’t. Some genderfluid peoples gender shifts relatively regularly and some multigender people do feel half man and half woman but that’s not a universal experience. I’m mostly genderfluid and sometimes feel my gender as more close to man or more close to woman and I’m mostly a trans man because of how my gender currently is but I’m bigender and transfemmasc because I’m intersex and bigender and my genders aren’t percentages, no matter how I feel aligned, I’m always fully a man and I’m always fully a woman. Just. People have gotta be better about multigender and genderfluid people and those of us where it might be complicated, or where it might not fit into your narrow understanding of genderfluidity or having multiple genders, because if your support for us ends with those of us that fit into your ideas of gender and fluidity it’s not support.
