🌈🦋 Pleasant Pixl 🦋🌈
Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving! Y’all’s turkeys have probably digested by now, but have some more gijinka art from me.
Last year, I made a human design for Tippi, one of my absolute favorite Paper Mario partners, but looking back on it, I don’t like how the design turned out. So I wanted to redesign it. I didn’t give her a specific ethnicity and just made her look vaguely Hispanic/Latina, but with this redesign, I made her Native American as a celebration for both Native American Heritage Month and Native American Heritage Day (even though both were last month, ik I’m very late to the party 😭).
I myself don’t have one iota of Native American blood, so I had to do lots of research to make it look accurate to the tribe that her whole new look is based on while taking a few creative liberties. So I apologize to anyone who is part of the Hopi tribe or part of some other Native American tribe if Tippi’s design doesn’t look the greatest.
However, I would love it if some of y’all would kindly comment or dm me on how I should fix my design if I somehow screwed something up. I don’t want to come off as disrespecting your culture at all, so don’t be afraid to tell me your honest opinion on it so I can learn how to improve my design.
The tribe I based Tippi’s new human design on is the Hopi Tribe. The butterfly is seen as a positive and comforting symbol within a lot of Native American tribes, and it’s very prominent within the Hopi Tribe. Since Tippi takes the form of a butterfly when she’s a Pixl throughout the entirety of Super Paper Mario, I thought it would make sense to base her on that tribe. The butterfly represents change and balance, and they have a kachina (spirit) based around it in their mythology.
The kachina is called the Polik-mana, or Butterfly Maiden. The Butterfly Maiden was one of the main inspirations for Tippi’s human redesign. According to the Hopi Tribe, the Butterfly Maiden is said to pollinate the fields and flowers and give rain to the Arizona Desert once spring rolls around. There’s even a whole traditional dance based around the kachina called the Butterfly Dance, where the young girls of the tribe basically give thanks to the Maiden for her spring dance.
Her necklace is inspired by a cute Hopi necklace I found on Google, but her earrings aren’t really inspired by anything, I kinda just made them up myself. Her dress is heavily inspired by the manta, which is a traditional knee-length garment that the women of the Hopi Tribe wear. At first, I wanted to draw her hair in squash blossom buns, which is the traditional Hopi hairstyle, but I settled on leaving her hair down to match her silhouette at the end of Super Paper Mario.
And ik this is super random, but I would also like to include a few headcanon voice actors that I think would suit the role of Tippi if Super Paper Mario was fully voice-acted like Sunshine. I kind of came up with this while digitally drawing the picture, so sorry for how random and out of place this is, I’m just currently bored out of my mind lol;
• Voice Actor: Christine Marie Cabanos - Voice Inspiration: Filia (Skullgirls)
• Voice Actor: Nicole Oliver - Voice Inspiration: Princess Celestia (MLP: FiM) or Queen Calissa (Barbie in a Mermaid Tale)
• Voice Actor: Stephanie Sheh - Voice Inspiration: Kayo Hinazuki (Erased) or Flora (All 3 of the Winx Club Movies)
• Voice Actor: Irene Bedard - Voice Inspiration: Pocahontas (Pocahontas 1995)
• Voice Actor: Cree Summer - Voice Inspiration: Kidagakash “Kida” Nekdah (Atlantis: The Lost Empire)
I imagine Tippi having a collected, soft-spoken, but serious-sounding voice, which is why I chose these voice actresses and some of the characters they voice as inspiration.

Stargazer’s Art History: Best of the PaigeeWorld Era
Since I don’t have much art on deck, I figured a good place to start would be is reposting some of my old art. Not all of it, though, because I had like 600 pieces of art posted on PaigeeWorld, and I don’t have all of them anymore. Oh, and some of them are kind of embarrassing now because they were made by 11- to 13-year-old me and I don’t think they’re very good anymore.
My time on PaigeeWorld started with this:
That was followed very quickly by this drawing, which was drawn on the back of that first drawing:
It grew from there. I don’t have them in order anymore, but here are some things from this era that I still sort of like, even if I think my art has gotten a lot better since then.
This is Adreana, one of the three main OCs I used to post about on PaigeeWorld. Maybe I’ll draw them again and explain them sometime. Not right now, though. (And yes, those are my math notes.)
This was a product of my Oz the Great and Powerful phase. I do not remember the exact context, but this was a redraw of an older piece. My style at this point was heavily Broken Age-inspired. No, I will not explain the pairings.
These three came from later in the PaigeeWorld Era, if it was in it at all. Anyway, this is a Broken Age and Undertale crossover.
This came from deep within the Broken Age phase. It coincided with my Imagine Dragons phase, as you can see. This is one of the nicer pieces from that era.
These two pieces are things I drew to decorate the cover of my school-issued Chromebook. The first one is mostly Broken Age; the second one is a smattering of things, as you can see. Both are Erscoga-themed.
This was the cover for a comic I never drew. Done with colored pencils—and really heavy-handedly, at that.
This is Geneva, a character I adopted. She featured in a really terrible Broken Age fanfiction I never finished writing and also never published.
I don’t remember if I ever posted this on PaigeeWorld or not.
These characters are Kaylynn (the lady in the front), the Keeper of the Key, and Kaytee in the back. They’re original characters I based off of a substitute teacher I had in 6th grade.
This is Lila. She’s a Phantom of the Opera OC in a very roundabout way.
This was an entry for some contest on PaigeeWorld, and the two characters featured are part of the PaigeeWorld cast.
This is just a drawing of Queen Calissa from Barbie in a Mermaid Tale.
This is an overview of a New Year’s drawing I drew repeatedly. It kept getting more and more involved. Featuring my OCs, mostly, but also the Phantom of the Opera, myself and my cousins, and eventually Broken Age characters.
Remember Geneva? Here’s her family!
I don’t remember why I drew this, but here’s the Broken Age characters in the Phineas and Ferb movie.
And finally, here’s a couple of OCs whose story I only vaguely remember.
~*~
Anyway, there’s a lot of art that I didn’t include here, because I don’t think it’s very good, but PaigeeWorld was where I started posting art online, and where my art style really grew and changed, and where I learned about alcohol-based markers and digital art.

Barbie movie sequences - It's almost a Fun Fact
Barbie in a Mermaid Tale 2 and Barbie Mariposa and Princess Fairy - Similar things in these sequences.
These iconic Barbie movie sequels have more in common than you might think, and it's something that makes me extremely outraged, it's not about the stories of the movies being similar, it's more like a formula that the directors of the films used, I imagine that not only I but several other fans were disappointed with the sequels thanks to these specific points that I will mention.
Where is the iconic duo from the first film?
The besties Xylie and Kayla, the sisters Rayna and Rayla, who accompanied the protagonist during her journey in the first film, simply disappeared in the sequel to their respective films. In the second movie, they didn't have any appearances or quotes (Except Rayna and Rayla who were mentioned only once if I'm not mistaken) Not even to appear in the background or arriving to say "Hii, we miss u *hug hug* bye!"
Wasted sidekick
Zinzie didn't appear in the second movie, she could have gone back to the confused fields, but I think she'd be better off as Mariposa's sidekick. As for Remu, he appeared in the second film but... not as we expected, in the first film he showed his desire to be a musician, but he appeared as a TV presenter ;-;
The nice friend ≠ The stupid friend
In the first movie Hadley and Willa were super cool, Hadley was connected to the internet and knew about myths, but in the second movie she got extremely silly and only served as comic relief, which to me wasn't even that funny, besides not being careful with Merliah's belongings. The same thing happened with Willa, before she was nice and popular not as much as other butterfly fairies but she was pretty party but in the second movie she turned into a carefree fool, like hellooo even to the twins who used to treat her badly, she struggled at work, but now that she works at the F*cking castle, she got lazy.
Holes in the script
Both films end up deconstructing a lot of what was said in the first film, as in Mermaid Tale, about the way Merilia is conceived, as the ceremony is every 20 years, and Merliah is 17, it means that Calissa got pregnant after the ceremony, and she herself said that after that her tail became fixed, and she could no longer transform into a human, so before we knew how Merilia was conceived, we didn't know that Calissa could turn human, not to mention we thought Eris kind of had this disability of not being able to produce Merilia from no way, but the sequence shows that in fact, everything was much easier and less depressing for Eris. In Barbie Mariposa, we are introduced to Queen Marabela, who lit up Flutterfield with her magic when she arrived in town, but In the second movie we find out that before that happened the people of Shimmervale who supplied the Crystallites to Flutterfield, and that alliance was broken a few years ago, so many few years ago, so if it's been a thousand years since this happened, how come the butterfly fairies didn't go extinct? I'm not sure how the age of fairies works but Marabela doesn't look that old, so she must have appeared a few years before the first movie. How the butterfly fairies survived until the arrival of Marabela, it is literally a miracle, an impossible miracle. Considering that Marabela wanted to resume the alliance, we don't know if Carlos will inherit her power, but if one day she passes away, they will have Shimmervale as allies to protect them.
That was it,it was more of an outburst, but it's still a Fun Fact, hope you liked it, heart and reblog, follow me for more 🧜🏼♀️🧚🏻♀️
