My Review: 5/5 Stars

Amazing, as per usual. This is one of my favorite worlds and I'm always excited to dive back in. And here we are with yet another Mercant. Just give me all the Mercant stories because you can't help but love everyone who comes from that family. Ivan Mercant proves to be another Psy with a unique and very deadly ability. One that is kept on a leash at all times and one Ivan is afraid will break free one day. Ivan isn't afraid to die should that monster inside break free. But then he meets Lei. Lei, a changeling cat, who changes everything for Ivan. Their original meeting was sweet and full of laughter and hope. Until Lei disappeared and slipped through Ivan's fingers. That is until he meets her again in San Francisco. But the Lei who stares back at him is different than the woman he remembers. She is having trouble remembering Ivan and broken out of grief and heartache she is nowhere near close to herself. A healer that his simply lost. Lei needs answers about what happened to her pack and Lucas Hunter is the answer. Ivan won't let Lei go again... not unless the monster within threatens to take her down with him. So much going on in this story! And so many answers to questions we've been having as well. The pieces are slowly starting to come together on the Psy's latest enemy the Scarab Queen. We are getting pieces of the puzzle about how to save the Psy-Net, yet no definite solutions just yet. I absolutely adored Ivan and Lei. Ivan had so many surprises. Lei is a healer with a spine of steel and once she realizes who Ivan is to her, she refuses to let go. I also love being back in DarkRiver territory! So many connections between so many different groups in this world and they are all slowly coming together. Another great story to this series and as always I can't wait for more!

Silver Silence is the first book in the second arc of Nalini Singh’s Psy/Changeling series. Arc 1 is the Psy/Changeling series and Arc 2 is called the Psy/Changeling Trinity series. The first arc features, I think, 13 books. The second arc features about 6 books so far. It’s set in an alternate world that’s similar to ours but there are 3 species—humans, Changelings (they can shift into animals), and the Psy (they’re born with powers). The first arc has a lot of world building. They’re mainly romance novels. I think they’re worth reading.

Vi aggiorno sui romanzi di Nalini Singh

Partiamo da Nalini Singh, che seguo ormai da anni con le sue serie GUILD HUNTER e PSY-CHANGELING.

Al momento sta portando avanti ancora entrambe con successo.

La PSY-CHANGELING SERIE principale si sarebbe conclusa nel  2015 con il quindicesimo libro, ma in realtà sta proseguendo con il suo sequel: la serie PSY CHANGELIG TRINITY che è già all'ottavo libro, uscito l'anno scorso in America.

Io devo ammettere non amo la serie sequel e non la seguo costantemente perchè trovo sia più noiosa dell'originale presenti sempre la solite dinamiche e l'autrice a mio parre si è fissata troppo sula nucleo militare psy delle EX-ARROWS e sui clan di Lupi, Leopardi e Orsi. Più volte ha citato negli anni, dal lontano 2014 per l'esattezza, altri clan di altri tipi di animali come le aquile o quelli marini, ma tutto ciò che ci ha dato è un unico libro su un delfino  changeling e basta. Inoltre il cattivo di questa serie sequel è veramente poco interessante, pazzo e agisce co attacchi terroristici non con chiari piani con chiari fini e chiare motivazioni, il che toglie interesse alla trama, almeno per me.

Per quanto riguarda invece la GUILD HUNTER serie Nalini Singh è arrivata al sedicesimo libro in uscita nel 2024, e la storia va avanti bene con coerenza, a parte qualche libro pausa dedicato ad altri arcangeli e vampiri, e la storia di Elena e Raphael mi interessa ancora, non mi ha stancata. Anche se ultimamente anche qui si è sentita la mancanza di un antagonista/cattivo forte e carismatico.

La pubblicazione di questa serie in Italia è stata interrotta anni fa ormai come sappiamo bene.

So far I've gone through the Blessings series by Beverly Jenkins and the Psy/Changeling + Psy/Changeling Trinity series by Nalini Singh. As has become my hobby, I've created character lists.
