Warriors All-Stars (2017) When Tamaki summons heroes from other universes to help aid her in her quest to save their planet, they must fight alongside and against each other to discover the truth about the planet they’re saving! As a long serving fan of Dynasty Warriors I’ve put this off for far too long, and not going to lie, I was pretty skeptical about how good it would be. It turned out to be pretty good, it was nice to play a Dynasty Warriors game with a new story and some new characters. The game boast around 30 characters from different franchises and there’s some fantastic additions here, William from Nioh, Ryu from Ninja Gaiden, Kasumi from DOA and of course fan favourites like Zhou Yun, Lu Bu and Yukimura Sanada! Whilst the roster is vast, it’s a mix of good and bad gameplay wise, some characters like Ryu fit the bill perfect and can destroy hoards of enemies, but playing with some characters like Kasumi feels very off, not precise and just uncomfortable playing with in a hack and slash game! The traditional Dynasty Warriors style soundtrack is present, and there were a couple of tracks that sounded like Avenged Sevenfold which had me right in the game! The frame rates in this game on PS Pro are impressive, and I never had one issue during the whole game, which is a relief coming from Vampyr which was littered with them! There’s many play throughs you can tackle in this game, each one bringing a different angle to the story, they each open up more about the story and bring new heroes into the game more in their own way. I like how many endings there are but it can also be quite repetitive in a way as you replay the same maps and battles just on different sides. It’s still playable, but unless you’re going for the platinum you’ll tap out after a few.
